My husband and I have been going here for many years. This is probably his favorite local Chinese food. Generally we get the entree and side. His favorite is general tso chicken and honey chicken. The quality of the meat and ingredients are definitely there. For me its good but not amazing. Ever since they started closing on weekends we haven't gone much. Its on the pricier end but what isn't and you get what you pay for. Not too much going on in the restaurant itself. You can eat there but not many tables and you get to go boxes no matter what. The purpose of online ordering/calling in is to let the business know ahead of time about an order being placed also so that order is prepared by the time you arrive. But when you have an employee that refuses to answer the phone simply because it's busy it's just poor customer service. Usually places will answer put you on hold which I wouldn't mind at all because it's the proper thing to do. But these guys would rather you sit in traffic for an hour then once u get here have u wait another 30 mins when all this could've been avoided by answering the telephone read more

Love me some Asian Spice, especially the prawn job-che. Great family platters and big portions. The kids love the honey chicken. It's a yummy if not high-end option. It's hard to find this kind of food in Monroe. Not always the fastest, though - I'd recommend ordering ahead and leaving a little extra time for pick-up. read more

I ordered the general tso chicken with the sauce on the side ( I like it this way because it tends to get soggy on the trip home) the gal taking my order groaned and mumbled for a min then said no, we can't do that... ok so I continued ordering, o asked for a broccoli beef, a chow mein, she stopped me and asked if I wanted it all in the same box, I said no, three of us are splitting everything ( was planning on ordering a few more things) but she stopped me again and said no, you want 3 of each??? I started to ask about the family meal when the phone rang. She put me on hold and started the process of taking a phone order???? I stopped in here when the place next door was closed, I checked out the yelp reviews first. Recent good reviews so I went in. I ordered a THREE entree plate $17.95. Choose your side choose your entree thing. Well if you want to mix your sides there's an up charge of $1, no big deal. I chose chow mein, fried rice as my sides and honey chicken, mixed vegetables and peanut chicken for my entrees. I also ordered a side of pot stickers. When I got home to eat my dinner I was shocked by the fact that the veggies were just a bunch of the same veggies in my peanut chicken, which btw, had little to no chicken. Bell pepper, onion, celery, carrots, peas and a few green beans. The fried rice was basically white rice with little egg, peas or carrots. The chow mein, just a pile of plain noodles. I ended up mixing the noodles with everything just to try and make it edible or appetizing. But it wasn't. The honey chicken was the only thing that was good. I spent $28 on frozen veggies, plain noodles and plain rice! I was seriously regretting the fact that I didn't just go into town for Thai. One star for the honey chicken. read more

Very much agree with lack of spices. I could see some red pepper flakes on the General Tso chicken but no flavor. On the good side the General Tso chicken was very meaty just crispy enough and not too sweet. This place is simple and ok. It's edible. For $13.95 two of you get choice of three decent dishes, rice or noodles of your choice. Cups of water. Seems like that is a non deadly bargain in 2019 The other two choices were mandarin chicken and Mongolian beef. The chicken was a bit odd and tasteless. Maybe soy and oyster sauce with some sugar. I didn't see any condiments around. Mongolian beef was the most disappointed. A little stringy round steak on a pile of sauteed onions with some flavorless brown sauce. Where are the spices? The portion size was way too small the food was OK... I had the tofu and mushroom more sauce than tofu or mushrooms like four pieces of small sized tofu. The lady at the front was nice the kitchen is in front so you can see them cooking the food. Very delicious, kind of a long wait but worth it. They also advise that they have egg rolls but when I asked they said that they didnt. So just make sure that they have what you want when ordering. What's fun about exploring a city that is "new" to real, authentic cuisine is that, once in a while, I can find a rather bizarre combination of ethnic cuisines. And this is one of them. Asian Spice sits just a few doors down from the second Kami Teriyaki location, which is a rather odd strategy for either of these two as they are both in the same strip mall off the main highway (Hwy. 2), across a man-made lake and really not in the center of anywhere except nowhere. What they offer is equally one-of-a-kind... Thai and Korean food, with a me-too sprinkling of Chinese fast-food offerings. You have to see this to believe it. My guess is the owners think the locals don't know Thailand from Korea and China. That, or the cook just specializes in those cuisines, which... I don't think is the case. When any small Asian or "teriyaki" joint gives away any hint of having Korean underpinnings, I go straight for the kalbi (marinated short ribs) because, in my vast, previously unwritten dining experiences, I can tell the quality of a restaurant's offerings by how they prepare kalbi. Kalbi, that meaty goodness that is equivalent to a grilled-medium rare USDA Prime ribeye, is the badge of honor (or disgrace) of any worthy chef. The best that ever was around here was the old Aloha Teriyaki of Lynnwood. Their thick slices of marbled short ribs were marinated in a divine concoction over FOURTEEN days in a refrigerator. I should know as I once purchased a tray full for a New Year's Day blast way back when. (As a side note, this item is named "Blazing Fire" and described as "boneless prime short ribs marinated in spicy Korean barbecue sauce served with steamed rice and house salad.") This kalbi was more of the wtf? when it was presented on a plate with the basic greens and rice. First off, there wasn't any bone-in meat. Second, the meat was already cubed. And the dead giveaway was the reddish hue glowing from this just-right portion. And what was that? Potato and carrot slices mixed in with this almost-gelatinous conglomeration topped with chopped green onions??? Okay, I got over the visual shock and dug in. The meat was tender and the taste was pleasant. Not tilted toward any extreme sensation. The meat was tender and easy to digest. A pretty good meal BUT... it was not what kalbi traditionally is. They should rename it "Korean Cowboy Stew." Prices are reasonable ($6-$12) and you can mix-n-match with their "Wok Specials" that, I'm sure, is a step-up from Monkey Express. M-F 10:30am-9pm, Sat 11am-9pm. They will do only "large" orders for Sunday. read more

I've been here a couple times now and I really enjoy it. Keep in mind it's fast good Asian, it's by no means authentic Chinese or Thai food but good just the same. I've had and enjoyed the chow mein, the phad thai, honey chicken, general tsaos and the fried rice. Pricing is reasonable, they have a great family meal spread for $32. Clean place, we maintained. Was excited to try this place as it had pretty solid reviews. The place is incredibly clean and fast, but the food is blan. I ordered the honey chicken with noodles and the noodles nearly had any veggies in and absolutely no flavor just an oily texture.
