General Chicken and white rice
Brad T.

I ordered the general chicken and jasmine rice for takeout. I picked up my food right after placing an app order and when I made it back home to Cascade RV Park down the road, I opened the chicken and was disappointed. The serving size was great, but the sauce was very watery and the chicken was soggy. There wasn't many reviews, but they seemed on the positive side, but unfortunately, I do not recommend.

A hungry evening of exploration in the area lead us here - and what we were so glad to have stumbled in this gem! We came on a evening on a weekend and there was only one other party seated. Our waitress was extremely friendly and a delight. Dishes ordered: Golden Noodles, Orange Chicken, Thai Iced Tea. I typically order my Pad See Ew in Thai restaurant but I saw that they had a "Golden Noodle" which is made with a curry sauce. I had to get this because I love curry and I love the wide noodles. The curry was flavorful and had a hint of sweetness - Although next time, I'll opted out for the onions because there were so many in this dish. The orange chicken tasted fresh and crisp to perfection - perfect with a bowl of white rice. The portions were a decent size and we ended up taking the leftovers to-go. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the neighborhood to check out some of the other dishes on the menu!

Great spot for lunch/dinner off Hwy 2 just a few miles east of Monroe. Clean, friendly, efficient service with a smile. 2 adults and we ordered jasmine tea, fried spring rolls, crispy garlic chicken and pork pad Thai all with 3 stars. Yummy flavor and hearty portions. Bathroom is unisex and extremely clean! 5/5 Entrees range from $15-$20/plate

In town visiting friends. Decided to swing by here for dinner. The service was friendly and fast! We were very surprised when the food arrived. Had Pad Sew Ew with chicken spice 3 could of went 4 or 5 but had amazing flavor. Also had red curry and that was a winner creamy and rich with excellent flavor profile. We did start out with fresh spring rolls and the peanut sauce!! Gonna average seating and you can see/hear the kitchen. I will definitely be returning. I gave 5 stars for being surprised at being in Sultan, WA and finding an amazing Thai food place.

First, use 507 W Stevens Ave, Sultan, WA, and not 31115 US-2, to find the place on your mapping app. The mapping apps have the wrong location for the US-2 version of the address and will take you two miles down the road to the roundabout. That is NOT where the restaurant is. But 507 W Stevens Ave, Sultan, WA is mapped properly in all the mapping/GPS apps. This restaurant is new and in a soft opening as of 20 May 2022. So, I am going to cut them a little slack and still go with five stars because it is mostly GREAT (what Yelp considers five stars). I'll update this review in a few months once they are fully running and have had time to work out any issues (though I suspect it will still be five stars). Thai native Naree Dugan and her husband Dan bring decades of Thai cooking experience (well Naree and the kitchen staff do ) to Sultan in this light, bright, and clean Thai place. Minimal but functional yet visually nice describes the interior. It was a little chilly inside the day I went, but that is better than hot and stuffy. Service was a bit slow, but this was only the second day open. The restaurant is still (as of 20 May 2022) in a soft opening. The service is also very friendly and kind. I tried two dishes around two in the afternoon on a Friday. The place was pretty busy even at this hour. The fresh rolls with shrimp (you can also get tofu) were tasty. Everything was fresh, and the veg was crisp and beautiful. The accompanying peanut sauce was outstanding. I always try Pad Thai (with pork; you can also get other proteins) the first time I visit a new Thai restaurant. It's a touchstone dish, and this one is good. It's a tamarind base, the traditional base. No yucky red Americanized sauce here. The spiciness is from 0 to 5 stars, so I got 3. Three was a nice heat level, and I'll probably go with 4 next time to up it to a hotter but bearable level. I imagine 5 stars here is burn your hair off hot, and that is as it should be. My AT&T cellular coverage inside the restaurant was horrible, so I ended up with the printed menu. They might want to add Wi-Fi at some point to compensate if others are having the same problem. The signal is fine outside. All in all, this is a wonderful addition to the food offerings along US-2. Stop and support a local family-owned and operated restaurant. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Let me just say- amazing! This was the best Thai place I've been to by far. The food was delicious. All of it! We decided to split three dishes between 4 people. It was definitely enough. We started with the spring rolls. There were 5, and they were adequately crispy. They came strait out of the fryer. In the words of my brother, they were "gooooooooood." We had Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Garlic Delight for our main. We split it between four people, and it was just about enough. We all overate and every dish was clean. The Pad Thai was different then others I've had, and was very delicious anyway. The Yellow Curry was a delicacy! It was definitely a table favorite and a must-have! It had some pineapple in it and it mixed beautifully with the savory flavor. Finally, the Garlic Delight was pretty good. Of all the dishes this was our least favorite, but even at that level, it was still phenomenal. I dipped my fork in the garlic grease after it was gone. The mango ice cream was out favorite desert. We had two deserts. The mango ice cream had chunks of mango and though I don't usually like mango so much, it was worth the price. It was only 4 dollars. Going to this restaurant even if JUST for the ice cream, is a great idea. The black sticky rice was nice and warm. I'm not sure if it's my kind of desert though. Tip: If you do get the black sticky rice, mix it first. The coconut milk on top is not good to just eat alone. (Obviously) Most of the food was about 15-17 dollars. This restaurant was clean, and I honestly found nothing wrong with it. The only thing is the spice is not very spicy so get more spicy level. Finally, our waiter was polite, our water got refilled frequently, and we easily got his attention whenever (the place is quite small) I would definitely eat here again. Oh and one more thing: The tv was playing a chef cooking seafood and was distracting. (In a good way)

Excellent flavor in the garlic chicken. The deep-fried oil was fresh. I also had a side order of steamed vegetables which was very flavorful yet steamed. Crispy Garlic Chicken

Absolutely love this place! I am a lover of Thai food and was so happy to see one open so close to me. This restaurant is very well priced for Thai food and you get SO much bang for your buck! Amazing portion sizes. The food is incredible, so flavorful. Cannot wait to keep ordering from this place in the future!

Salmon, rice and seaweed, you really can't go wrong! I'm going to to come back and try other rolls cause the sushi here looks delicious The soup was full of Sweet and savory ... It definitely had that umami flavor but the shrimp and egg were very overcooked. The soup was boiling hot when I received it, the egg was hard boiled, not poached and the shrimp tempura was tough and rubbery. The variety of ingredients impressed me though. The fish cake, fried tofu, mushrooms, and pea crisps were delicious and flavorful! I would get this dish again, because it truly did taste good, I just wish they'd out the shrimp and egg into the broth later so that they didn't come out overcooked. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

I recently learned that the previous owners sold and the recipes are a little different. I'm sure the new owners will do a great job, but for such a limited menu, I must say that I wish they had maintained the same recipes from the previous owners if the name of the restaurant is to remain the same. Specifically, the egg rolls are not as good as they used to be. They are serviceable, but not exceptional. But when compared to the previous egg rolls, my son and I were left a bit sad. I dunno if the oil changed or what, but they are completely different flavors and not as good. Also they were very oily even for a deep fried item. I hope once they settle in, they can consider that they bought a restaurant that the community loves and so changing recipes, even for something small like an egg roll, is enough to make us not order them anymore. We'll still come for the pho, though. That still tasted very good.

The colorful wall murals are gone. The bowls used to serve noodle dishes are now HUGE and DEEP, leading some to say portion sizes are not generous. That is not correct. They are plentiful. You're just getting your noodles in a gargantuan bowl. Service is acceptable, but just barely. It's often negligent. I ended up getting up to get my own new set of chopsticks when I had an issue with mine and some extra napkins because the server was too focused on playing with the TV stations (which they were two or three times while we were there). You order from a QR code and pay in advance--including tip--now. The food is still very good. Noodles are great. They've also gotten creative and gone a bit overboard there with the addition of colored noodles, which I did not try. Dumplings have gone creative too. The flavors are very good, and the dumplings are well made. The colors for the dumplings make a bit more sense than for the noodles, but I still find the whole idea a little much. Still solid noodle dishes. Maybe a tiny bit less balanced and authentic than when they opened, but the noodles are well made. Flavors are good. Will definitely return, but I just hope they don't eventually lose their way by trying to be different and trendy instead of reliable and fun.

So glad this place survived after Covid. The seafood shaved noodle was solid. You get shrimp, squid and scallops. $13.95. Really? We are floored! Husband said it was exactly the same and he enjoyed it! He finished his whole plate. Impressed with the large portion!! Shrimp was huge! Instead of seafood, I asked to sub with chicken. Server said no problem! The chicken slices were super tender and juicy and the shaved noodle texture was perfection. It was a bit bland but nothing a lil' table soy can't fix. Only $11.95 for a huge platter. I was super hungry and cleaned my plate but for most, there'd be leftovers. Mapo tofu with white rice. The sauce had too much corn starch and the meat texture was not my favorite. I've had better but when you have spicy sauce over fluffy rice, it can be mediocre and still be satisfying..Would rather have this for my work lunch than Marie Callendar's any day. Pan fried pot stickers 8 pieces $7.95. Delicious. It's the thin skin kind. Classic, you can't go wrong! I can't eat fried stuff nowadays but their fried chicken wings were the best. Plump, juicy and piping hot! I am sure it's still amazing! They have lots of other menu items. On a colder day, I would go for the custom noodle soup bowls for $12.95. (Choose noodle, broth, 2 veg and 2 proteins). Duck noodle soup sounds amazing. For more topping, I think it's $2.25 per extra topping. One of the few places where most everything is below $15 per entree item and nothing above $20. I would like to try their oxtail noodle soup, sizzling beef or chicken platter, teriyaki short ribs, beef chow fun, and black bean noodle dish next time. Interior is clean with pleasant Cantonese Chinese music, free waters, and guava candy when you pay. The evergreen Asian supermarket next door has a lot of Asian grocery goodies with a Vietnamese deli inside. Durian is on sale for $4.29 a pound. Yes, you can get durian in Everett! Impressive! This restaurant is mostly self service; there are two kiosks right in front for ordering and a table full of prefilled drink cups. I think the only upside to this restaurant is the free cups of mango tea, which are slightly sweetened and fruity. I wouldn't say they are very mango forward though. Hot Oil Biang Noodles ($13.99) - The biang biang noodles here aren't very good. They seem to be stretched somewhat, but then I feel like they take shortcuts. Instead of being almost completely stretched via bouncing the noodles on the table, they only stretch it probably half as much as normal, then they cut the dough lengthwise several times - this is why I can see multiple clear corner pieces in the noodle instead of it being relatively straight. They also don't care to make it consistent in thickness. This causes major issues because the thinner parts are soft and mushy while the thicker corners are doughy and slightly undercooked. I don't know how, but the noodles also clump together, so in some bites, I'm eating three strands of mushy noodles right on top of each other. The sauce here isn't much better. It's supposed to be aromatic, blistering hot oil mixed with chili/vinegar and aromatics poured directly on the noodles. The problems here are multifold. Firstly, they don't drain the noodles properly, resulting in an excessive amount of water diluting the sauce. Secondly, they use far too much vinegar, making the sauce overly acidic. The vinegar is by far the dominant flavor in the dish. While the dish seems like it will be spicy due to the red color oil, it's almost completely diluted out by the vinegar and noodle cooking water. The dish is basically not spicy at all due to these factors. (2/5) Spicy Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup ($14.99) - This dish suffers from the same noodle issues as above, but the soup format improves some aspects slightly, but worsens other aspects. Since the soup is hot and the noodles are soaked in the broth, they soften more readily, so the soft portions are even more mushy than the "dry" noodle. The thicker portions are nice and bouncy though. The soup itself is relatively flavorful, slightly gamey, and tastes like it actually is a lamb bone broth, but it doesn't really have depth of flavor. Again, it's not really spicy at all. The lamb on top seems like thinly sliced hot pot lamb, pan fried until very dry. If not for the fact that the lamb is sliced thin, it would be extremely tough. It does have a nice fragrant cumin flavor though. (2/5) Those were the two worst bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I wasn't particularly impressed with the noodles at the U District location of Xi'an Noodles either, but they were far better than these two steaming piles of excrement. Bathrooms - Two unisex room shared with Snowy Village. One was locked though
