Pretty good local spot with fast and friendly service! I visited for my lunch break and ordered spring rolls which were stuffed well with a lot of greens. The portion was also quite big. Because I did not get an entree, I cannot speak for that dinning experience but my quick app and drink was more than enough for my lunch. What a pleasant surprise. We were at a friend's son's baseball game and afterwards we were looking for food nearby. We discovered this Thai place and we decide to try it out. It was pretty tasty. We ordered a wide range of things. For appetizer, we got the Angel wings and the appetizer plate. We also ordered a beef salad, Phad see ew, Phad kee mao with beef, phad see ew with chicken, Phad Thai with chicken, and basil fried rice. Service was great and they were very accommodating. Very surprised to eat at this place and didn't realize it was very good. We ordered the grilled lemon grass beef, padthai, thai ice tea and fried tofu. The beef really tasted good. And we even had leftovers so pretty good portion as well. The pad thai was also nice. I think the only downside is our tofu i feel as though we could've just not ordered that, it was crispy but also texture wise seemed like it was refried or too hard. Thai ice tea was too sweet but that's thai ice tea for you so that's expected. The staff though they were super nice and hospitable! The ambiance and decor is cute and very homey. My family members and I came here for a late lunch around 1:45pm on a Saturday in October after picking pumpkins at Muddy Boots Farm. It was the perfect, cozy place for a hot lunch after tromping around in the cold getting an amazing assortment of pumpkins and gourds. The restaurant is in a cute, old house. Highly recommend starting off with the Imperial Rolls. They were crispy, savory, and delicious. We also got the Fried Spring Rolls which were good but tiny. We all enjoyed sharing the Pad See-Ew with chicken, Pad Kee Mau with tofu, and the Pumpkin Curry with pork. Thai Duvall is a solid place for Thai food, and the staff are super friendly and nice. Haven't had this good of service at a restaurant in a MINUTE. Seriously, the gentlemen that greeted us at the door and took our orders was so personable and funny, we would come back just for him. This Thai place is decent! They offer several vegan and vegetarian dishes. My husband ordered the fresh tofu curry and they accommodated my request for steamed veggies and fresh spring rolls minus the fried tofu. I used the peanut sauce to dress my steamed veggies. The place is very clean and open. The people are friendly, welcoming and service efficient. We ordered Tofu Tom Ka soup which was very tasty and well made but wished had more veggies in it. We also ordered Hot and Sour soup which wasn't that good. The soup was much less as compared to the Bamboo shoots. For the price the quantity of soup was very less. The spice level and preparation is inconsistent. In the past my friends ordered two stars and said it was mild, so we all ordered three stars, but it must've been a different chef because the stars was quite spicy for us. I ordered the mama noodles, three stars (I typically order 2-2.5 stars at Thai restaurants); my dish was like chili oil was just dumped on it making it incredibly oily. This place is fantastic. It is family owned and run which is cool to support. I usually get takeout from here and have never been disappointed with the food. It can be tricky to call in orders during busy times but the food is well worth it. Panang curry with beef 10* spice is my go-to every time. One of my new favourites :D This cottage feels like entering someone else's home where you can have dinner :D We took a table outside because flowers are very pretty. The staff was very friendly and helpful when deciding. Everything was so so tasty. We had curries and all of them were great!! Yellow and green as usual like in Thailand. I also tried the avocado and jungle and were a great option for summer. Desserts are amazing: coconut milk with banana, and mango sticky rice. Loved them!!!! Try chicken starter with their peanut sauce. Amazing :) We have had take outs too. What I didn't like was that on one of them veggies still had the stickers supermarkets brand them. Would they really had cleaned them up, mistake, distraction, the order? Who knows. Ordering by telephone is kind of difficult. Duvall is too small a town and too rural in flavor to hold high expectations for quality international fare, so I was thrilled to find even one great option. Duvall has 3 very good restaurants, and this is the one that you can easily count on to serve flavorful comfort food of the Thai variety. You won't find anything unusual or particularly unexpected, and folks from Thailand might be underwhelmed by this very Thai-American menu, but if this is what you're up for, then Thai-American cuisine can be some of the very best in comfort food, and this place is as good as you could hope for. The sauces aren't too sweet, the curries have a quality heat, with the panang being a real stand-out. Pad Thai is a crucial dish to get right for this kind of restaurant, and theirs is nearly as good as it gets. Nothing is too oily or syrupy and the vegetables are always bright and fresh and never over-cooked. Nothing seems to have been sitting under a lamp, and there's the sizzle you hope for from just-cooked vegetables. If I was to quibble, I'd say there's too much celery in many dishes, which comes across as a cheap filler if your dishes each feature too much of it. Sometimes there's far too much of it, but not always, so I can't hold it against them if they found themselves short on peppers or skimping the chicken on an off day. Don't bother eating in, since there's no effort given to ambiance, and it's really designed for take-out, but if it's warm enough and they're serving outside, take a table in the porch. read more

So to sum it up. The flavor is excellent We had pad see ew and the red curry. We especially liked the red curry. The only issue I had was the quantities. Seriously it can't cost more than $0.03 to add more that 2 noodles in the pad dish. For $15 plus add $0.25 and add some noodles. The red curry was 95% broth 3 pieces of chicken then some veggies. Double the veggies. Like I said great flavor BUT double the white rice and the quantities and it would be outstanding!! (Or just more veggies and noodles ) For the 5% cost increase you would triple the return customers. read more

We ordered the chicken satay (the owner recommended giving us an extra peanut sauce which is the best I have had), yellow curry, the orange chicken (this is what I was really craving) and the mango stickey rice dessert. I am not a particular fan of satay, my wife is. It was good, but I would never order. The peanut sauce however was amazing!! The yellow curry was delicious and just what the doctor ordered on a chilly PNW night. I was craving sesame chicken, so settled on the orange chicken as an alternative. The orange chicken was SO dang good!! Because it was take out, the sauce was served on the side as to not make the chicken soggy. The chicken was very crispy and the orange sauce was SO good. It actually had orange pieces in it. The dessert gets its own paragraph. If you eat here and do not order the mango dessert you are really doing yourself a disservice. The owner told us that they taste every mango before serving to ensure that they are sweet, which they were. The stickey rice... I am drooling just thinking about. We went to Thai Duvall Wednesday evening. If you're near Duvall give it a try. The food is done well. They have the best orange chicken I've ever had. And they put the sauce in the side which I think is better. It has a hint of sweetness. It's different than most but it's pretty tasty. The owner says he can't find help so there's no indoor dining but you can sit on the porch at white plastic tables. The food makes up for the less than perfect decor haha. Most people just get food to go. I had Tom Ka soup with chicken. There menu says it's an exotic spicy soup containing a mixture of coconut milk, chicken, lemon grass, margrood leaves, mushroom. I love it! My wife had Pad Thai which was good she said. My daughter ordered pumpkin curry #37 which has a Choice of Avocado or pumpkin in red chili paste with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, bell pepper and sweet basil. We had Tai Iced Tea which are a little too sweet for me but seem authentic. The owner Ache( that's how it's pronounced) is super nice. Out of everything we ordered (chicken chow mein, #28, #29, mango sticky, and calamari there was only one dish (and the peanut sauce that came with the calamari) that actually tasted good. We were so disappointed. We were hungry (and things usually taste better when you are hungry) and it was all bad. The calamari had to be the worse calamari we have ever had...completely flavorless. The chicken chow mein was lacking in flavor as well. The mango had black/brown spots on it and tasted weird...rotten if you will which was strange because the slices were hard. The rice tasted like sugar...no coconut flavor. #29 Ginger chicken tasted dirty...like actual dirt was in the dish on the vegetables. It was more soupy than an actual stir fry. It was supposed to also be spicy but it wasn't. #28 Chicken Panang Curry was the only dish that was absolutely flavorful and delicious. The portion size was perfect. More than half the food ended up in the trash and we still ended up having to cook dinner tonight bc 4 people cannot eat off of one dish. $65 less the cost of the panang curry dish down the drain. I am so mad bc I absolutely hate to waste money on food. I HATE throwing out food as well but we had no one to give it too and it really was not good. I wish I would have taken pictures of it all but I was just so upset I did not. I debated reviewing the food but I want to save someone else the time and money.
