I signed up for a facial with Kristen at the Polar Lounge - what an awesome experience!! From the…read morewelcome at reception to the bottle of water post treatment, I felt pampered and relaxed. We started with a quick consult on what my skin challenges were and I felt like she really listened to me - she provided feedback on my skin throughout the facial. During the treatment, we started with cleansing and a steam. Next was an exfoliating mask with light circular massage. Then the extractions which were much less painful than other facials I have had. The treatment included a nice shoulder, hand and foot massage while my mask was doing it's thing. In the end, I left feeling rejuvenated with well hydrated skin. Best of all, no pushy sales pitch to buy product at the end of the treatment. The next day my face felt really clean and well exfoliated. Most facials I have had in the past felt like a necessary evil (super painful) but this was a relaxing treatment and I am going to make 2020 the year of the Polar Lounge facial!

One of the downsides is that I do get aches and injuries once in a while and I thought why not try Cyrotherapy. I'm a big bargain shopper and I found the Polar Lounge vía Groupon. Let me tell you what a wonderful delight it has been! The customer service is on point. Greeting you with a warm smile from the get go. The establishment is fabulous, has an amazing aura and vibe. They give you little cute polar bear shoes to wear while doing the procedure, which goes to show their attention to detail. I was told to pair it up with the infrared sauna. It's an amazing experience. Cold than an hour of warmness. You get to watch television while in the sauna if you desire. Thus far I've seen improvement in my sleep as well as my skin. I did the eight sessions and I'm most likely going to be doing more. It's safe to do once a day, and they explain to you all the details & benefits. As well as any concerns you may have. If you care about your body I would check out this place. Treat yourself!

Friendly staff and VERY useful for the rigorous fitness nut! Think ice bath (for those of you who…read moreplayed college sports know what I'm talking about) but without the water. Also, 3 min. vs. 20 min. in an ice bath. You get used to the cold and fellas will have fun debating going into the icebox with their underwear on or "sock" their junk (haha I strongly recommend this method). Also, see Dr. Polivka for some dry needling. Long story short, it's like acupuncture but where the needle is moved around to stimulate the muscle and help release the tension in it. Feels freeeaaaky but works wonders (STRONGLY recommend getting this done if you've had nagging pain for a long period of time and don't know how to get rid of it).

He convinced me that had I talked to him I would have never had any issues. He gaslit me and I was confused. I also learned my cryo wasn't working because they weren't using the proper treatment on me after paying almost a year's worth of membership at Midtown. I decided to pay as I go and the new aesthetician was excellent. Wouldnt you know, the guy is now charging my card on file for a membership fee even though I never signed any paperwork agreeing to it and specifically said I don't want the membership? They have about 3 cards of mine on file that I will have to report. Hide your credit card, debit card, HSA card, breeze card, etc. Pay cash but do NOT let that man near your cards. He is at Midtown and Buckhead

ZRO Chill was definitely a triple treat last weekend! From booking with Nate, the owner, who was…read moreaccommodating to our delayed arrival for our set appointment time. He adjusted the scheduled time, sent updates and was helpful in giving landmarks to find the location easily. Next was the service itself, which was especially inviting on a super hot Atlanta day. Nate explained cryotherapy, gave us background on the machine, and talked us through the entire procedure so that we would not notice the frigid temperature as much! In his defense, we asked a lot of questions so he probably would accommodate those who don't want to chat as much as I do. He provided details on how cryotherapy assists with different ailments, specifically as I was experiencing shoulder and back pain from a car accident and to be honest my knees aren't what they used to be! I was really prompted to purchase for my dude since he had pulled a hamstring about a week prior to our visit. It was not my first time getting cryotherapy, and believe that his machines were colder than the one previously experienced. We both felt better after the visit, and plan to return. The third part of my five star rating is attributed to the packages offered. He had a bring a friend offer (why suffer alone. Lol), as well as multi visit discounts. I truly enjoyed the process and look forward to visiting again as Nate mentioned additional services would be added to his offerings.

This is my second time trying out cryo but first time at this location. Jill was very friendly and…read moreexplained everything while I signed the waiver. She talked me through my session the whole time and kept me distracted so I wouldn't focus on the cold so much. She was also able to take me even though I was 30 mins early to my appt. It was quick and easy! Overall, pleasant first time experience. I had some ClassPass points expiring soon so I decided to use it to try this place out. It was 11 points compared to others I've seen that were 10 points so slightly more expensive. I will say though, the location was difficult to find since there were no signs on the outside road directing you to where the studio was. Not sure I would revisit though since I have other locations closer to me and at a lower price point. But recommend you checking it out if it's close.

I've heard about cryotherapy couple years back when I had sprained my ankle and still had remnant…read moreaching time to time, but had a cold at the time or wasn't brave enough to visit then. I had use of lose classpass points so I finally gave it a try. Note, you want to avoid cryotherapy when you have fever so I guess when you're sick, basically. I was super nervous before my session to the point that I psyched myself out but the tension dispersed afterwards. The session is 3 minutes, but can be shortened based on your needs. Needless to say, I was only able to last 2 minutes. Fish, the staff member, who helped me throughout the process mentioned that to be effective your body temperature should go down to at least 40° but after 2 minutes I was at 36° so everyone's body and tolerance is different. While you're in the chamber, you'll notice that your lower body will get the chills first and then the upper body. Seeing it for the first time, it looks like one of those sci-fi moments with the light dimmed, chilled air coming out of the chamber, and your body literally feeling like it's getting frosted. I forgot how Fish described it but in my terms I would say it felt like pop rocks were exploding on my skin haha. Might be coincidental but one of the main reason for visiting now was my shoulder pain as I had slept wrong, and a day after the session, it is a lot better! Not sure how effective it is after one try but I wouldn't rule it out and would definitely try again. Location is within the Buckhead Elite Gym, which is hidden in the back behind Dominos. There was adequate parking available and cryotherapy room is located on the right once you enter. Once you sign a waiver, you undress and put your robe, socks, and shoes on. You can keep your undergarments on, shouldn't have lotion on, and doesn't affect anything above your neck, which is sticking out from the chamber. So contact lenses are okay, which was one of the questions I had haha. The reason I picked this location as opposed to other locations were the reviews and they didn't lie. Fish was excellent at making me feel at ease, knowledgeable, and super friendly! She gets extra points for the Christmas sweater that she was wearing that matched her spirit. Everyone should the research as the benefits of cryotherapy is extensive, but note that if you have certain conditions, such as being pregnant or have heart conditions, it's not for you. Your body, especially your lower body, feel tingly and cold up to 20 minutes afterwards, and i did get a good night sleep. Sort of like my body was trying to rejuvenation type of sleep, making it a deep sleep. Hope my experience helped answer some of the questions that people have to give it a try.
