Infared sauna

Our community is so lucky to have this place!!! I seriously love it, and for someone like me who is a spa and physical maintenance junkie they meet a lot of my needs as a one stop shop for healing and recovery. It's really a modern day recovery lounge conveniently located right on the Beltline next to all the great spots. I have literally tried every service except the cryo facial which I'm excited to try soon. The staff and owners are extremely accommodating, welcoming, very nice, and the space is clean and up to date which is something I'm super picky about. I've been to other spas that aren't clean, are out of date, with miserable staff and this place isn't that. I feel like they care about how you feel when you come into their location and when you leave. Their unique underground infrared saunas are brand new, state of the art, the nicest I've ever been in, the best part is they will make you sweat like 600 calories off in 30/45 minutes which is amazing. Comes with all the towels you need and a built in private changing area so no need for stinky Locker rooms and changing in public which is so nice for the germ freak that I am. They have shower nearby if you need it. There is also a tv to use or listen to music on. PEMF- I've now used this service several times, I had surgery a few months ago and am working on reducing my scar areas as well as some tight muscle and inflammation from the trauma my body went through. I had never tried this therapy before I came here. I did some research on it and it is really great for healing and am excited they introduced me to a service that i didn't even know existed. I am now regularly using PEMF and it is helping my recovery process and inflammation reduction along exponentially. Normatech- aka compression/squeeze therapy has always been a favorite of mine for years. Most places only offer the leg compression sessions but Polar Lounge offers all of them including hips and arms which has been so nice to try out. The arm compression helped relieve achy shoulder pain. The last service I tried was stretch therapy and it's so nice to be stretched after a hard workout. I always leave the Lounge feeling bouncy, fresh, and relieved of aches and pains. Overall I would give them 11 stars if I could and will continue to enjoy services there weekly as I recover and heal my body. I bet you are bit like me and will enjoy them too.

Ask the Community - The Polar Lounge

Is it easy to park here? thanks!

I went midweek and it was super easy. Lots of free parking on street right in front and then a parking lot that looked wide open. I heard it charges $5 on weekends.

ZRO Chill was definitely a triple treat last weekend! From booking with Nate, the owner, who was…read moreaccommodating to our delayed arrival for our set appointment time. He adjusted the scheduled time, sent updates and was helpful in giving landmarks to find the location easily. Next was the service itself, which was especially inviting on a super hot Atlanta day. Nate explained cryotherapy, gave us background on the machine, and talked us through the entire procedure so that we would not notice the frigid temperature as much! In his defense, we asked a lot of questions so he probably would accommodate those who don't want to chat as much as I do. He provided details on how cryotherapy assists with different ailments, specifically as I was experiencing shoulder and back pain from a car accident and to be honest my knees aren't what they used to be! I was really prompted to purchase for my dude since he had pulled a hamstring about a week prior to our visit. It was not my first time getting cryotherapy, and believe that his machines were colder than the one previously experienced. We both felt better after the visit, and plan to return. The third part of my five star rating is attributed to the packages offered. He had a bring a friend offer (why suffer alone. Lol), as well as multi visit discounts. I truly enjoyed the process and look forward to visiting again as Nate mentioned additional services would be added to his offerings.

This is my second time trying out cryo but first time at this location. Jill was very friendly and…read moreexplained everything while I signed the waiver. She talked me through my session the whole time and kept me distracted so I wouldn't focus on the cold so much. She was also able to take me even though I was 30 mins early to my appt. It was quick and easy! Overall, pleasant first time experience. I had some ClassPass points expiring soon so I decided to use it to try this place out. It was 11 points compared to others I've seen that were 10 points so slightly more expensive. I will say though, the location was difficult to find since there were no signs on the outside road directing you to where the studio was. Not sure I would revisit though since I have other locations closer to me and at a lower price point. But recommend you checking it out if it's close.

I've heard about cryotherapy couple years back when I had sprained my ankle and still had remnant…read moreaching time to time, but had a cold at the time or wasn't brave enough to visit then. I had use of lose classpass points so I finally gave it a try. Note, you want to avoid cryotherapy when you have fever so I guess when you're sick, basically. I was super nervous before my session to the point that I psyched myself out but the tension dispersed afterwards. The session is 3 minutes, but can be shortened based on your needs. Needless to say, I was only able to last 2 minutes. Fish, the staff member, who helped me throughout the process mentioned that to be effective your body temperature should go down to at least 40° but after 2 minutes I was at 36° so everyone's body and tolerance is different. While you're in the chamber, you'll notice that your lower body will get the chills first and then the upper body. Seeing it for the first time, it looks like one of those sci-fi moments with the light dimmed, chilled air coming out of the chamber, and your body literally feeling like it's getting frosted. I forgot how Fish described it but in my terms I would say it felt like pop rocks were exploding on my skin haha. Might be coincidental but one of the main reason for visiting now was my shoulder pain as I had slept wrong, and a day after the session, it is a lot better! Not sure how effective it is after one try but I wouldn't rule it out and would definitely try again. Location is within the Buckhead Elite Gym, which is hidden in the back behind Dominos. There was adequate parking available and cryotherapy room is located on the right once you enter. Once you sign a waiver, you undress and put your robe, socks, and shoes on. You can keep your undergarments on, shouldn't have lotion on, and doesn't affect anything above your neck, which is sticking out from the chamber. So contact lenses are okay, which was one of the questions I had haha. The reason I picked this location as opposed to other locations were the reviews and they didn't lie. Fish was excellent at making me feel at ease, knowledgeable, and super friendly! She gets extra points for the Christmas sweater that she was wearing that matched her spirit. Everyone should the research as the benefits of cryotherapy is extensive, but note that if you have certain conditions, such as being pregnant or have heart conditions, it's not for you. Your body, especially your lower body, feel tingly and cold up to 20 minutes afterwards, and i did get a good night sleep. Sort of like my body was trying to rejuvenation type of sleep, making it a deep sleep. Hope my experience helped answer some of the questions that people have to give it a try.
