This…read moreoffice called, and told me that they couldn't allow me to be seen because my retina records show I had a shot done to the eye a month ago, and my eyes were too unstable. I responded that while I've had the retina reattached, I've never had a shot placed in either of my eyes, ever. They refused to believe me, insisting that the notes in the file stated I did. I know what I've had done. I know why, how, when and where and by whom. To suggest that the patient doesn't know what has been done, is, in my opinion, asinine. Ask yourself: Do you want work done by a medical establishment that refuses to listen to the patient and the truth?

Had I checked the reviews, I would have gone to the one 14 miles in the opposite direction with a four star rating. The tech (whose name I've managed to forget already) was incredibly unprofessional. The doctor called her out of the room in the middle of my exam and she came back in all huffy complaining that if she could pay attention and do things right away, people wouldn't be waiting so long for their appointments. Always bad form to complain to patients about your job. She then talked over me while I was trying to tell her that the glasses I was wearing were scratched so badly that everything was blurry because I recently fell and broke my decent glasses, these are over two years old. Didn't listen to a word I said but rather just wanted to test my sight with scratched glasses. The manager was somewhat responsive but really wanted to argue with me about my complaints. One of my biggest being that I didn't see the doctor until an hour past my appointment time, after having been told to be there fifteen minutes early. That tells your patients that your time is more important than theirs and isn't a good look on anyone. I spent a lot of years in customer service, some of them as an optician and this place is bad enough that I will be driving to a different Nationwide to order my glasses and make an appointment for my one month dry eye follow up. This place is a must miss. What a shame.

    The support staff could have been more professional, in my opinion. The two girls at the Vision…read moreExam desk seemed uninterested speaking with me (one of their names is Jocelyn), and both girls did not have any eye contact with me when they began talking to me (so I wasn't sure who they were talking to at first), and overall it felt like they didn't want to be there, unfortunately. The air puff test has always been uncomfortable for me (as it probably is for many people) and when I told her that as she was setting up the machine, Jocelyn responded to me that it's not even that bad. I felt a little ignored at the beginning, dismissed during the machine tests, and subtly disrespected during my entire interactions with those two female support staff. Dr. Le was fantastic. I felt that he was kind, patient, extremely thorough, and that he made great patient rapport. He's the only reason that I would return to this location, if at all, based off of my first impression here. Later in the day, I got a text notification that my next appointment had been scheduled. I never made a follow-up appointment at the checkout counter with Jocelyn, so that meant either the system schedules patients for appointments automatically, or one of their staff members manually scheduled me without asking me about my availability. My experience (aside from my interaction with Dr. Le) at this location has been a poor one. My intention was to buy both contacts and glasses this year, but I ended up not committing to anything at checkout because I wasn't entirely comfortable with purchasing through this location, based on this experience. I may take my prescriptions and try another Visionworks location or go to a separate company within my insurance altogether. I spoke to my husband about it -- I haven't fully decided what I'd like to do, yet.

I was so prepared to go to Costco to buy my supplies but she was able to save me 600-700 and I greatly appreciate her patience. She did not make me feel rushed or like I was wasting her time with asking my questions.. and there were a lot. She helped price everything out for me for multiple different options and now I have a contacts and new glasses without going into debt. Thank you, Sue.
