Chicken Parmigiana

Visited Il Falò for dinner with a friend. I saw them listed as a participant for Triangle's Restaurant Week, however; upon speaking with the waitress I learned that was not the case. ( As a critique: the marketing needs to be updated) As for the experience as a whole, it was an enjoyable one. There was no wait. Pleasing overall aesthetic. Waitress Dominique was accommodating & friendly. The focaccia bread was very tasty ( flavorful, warm and ever better with the olive oil available on the table) The menu is quite simple. My first choice was the steak & potatoes , unfortunately; they were out of potatoes. French fries were offered as a replacement, but I went with another dish entirely. Unika B. & Co.

Listen... Hands down one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in the RDU area. From the customer service to the ambiance to the taste of the food they did that {snap, snap}! It has been a while since I've gone to a restaurant that stayed on my mind once I left it. The calamari was definitely the star but the other dishes also held their own. I will definitely be eating here again the next time I'm in the area.

My brother chose this place to celebrate his bday. It's in the Westin hotel and I must say I could definitely see myself returning to try other items on the menu. The ambience was decent. Our server Isaiah was great. Very attentive and made great recommendations. If ever in the area give them a try.

Great lunch outing with a dear friend. Jhun was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had salads, the salmon and bolognese. All was delicious. Great atmosphere and the manger stopped to see how we enjoyed the meal.

A little burnt not just browning! Disappointing considering the high ratings we came for.

The ambiance was nice inside, clean and comfortable. I ordered the Cesar salad. The flavor combination was outstanding but In every bite I got sand. Returned the salad and stuck with a Margarita pizza that was ordered to share, on the side. Pizza was okay but had burnt spots on the bottom that came through in the flavor. The staff was friendly but I ordered water and unsweetened tea with lemon, I got sweet tea and water without any lemons. I didn't say anything. I just think the staff on this day aren't focused on their jobs. Wouldn't recommend just based on our experience.

I went here for some after dinner drinks with some friends late on a Saturday night and really Enjoyed it. The inside is beautiful and the service was good. We sat at a small round table just outside the bar seating area. We all ordered some cocktails, and everyone seemed to agree the drinks were strong and also tasted good. The price of the drinks are on the higher end for the area, but I felt the quality was worth it. I had an espresso martini and also tried my spouses dirty martini. Both were good. Our friends had two whiskey based cocktails from the cocktail menu which they enjoyed. We also had an order for truffle fries - SO GOOD and a margarita flatbread, which was my only "complaint." It was not very good, the sauce and flavors in general felt pretty underwhelming (especially for a restaurant of that caliber/price point) and actually tasted a tad bit undercooked. Still, I am giving them a solid 4 as everything else was so good, I'm wondering if may have just been an off night for that dish. Will definitely be returning to try out their main menu and/or other pre or post dinner drinks!

Fun night with delightful staff and excellent food. Very comfortable seating. The BEST parking is in the rear of the building with easy access to the restaurant through a well appointed access--decorated, accessorized, climate controlled area. We generally order "sharing" dishes. Items that will be easily shared by the two of us. We enjoyed pizza, salad and a delicious dessert.

We set a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday night to celebrate our daughters birthday. We were seated immediately at 5pm when they opened. It is connected to the westin hotel and Starbucks which was interesting. Our hostess Julia was very polite and provided a great overview of the restaurant. Our server Greg was very focused on our table even when things got busy. He kept our table clean wand was respectful to our discussions by not interrupting and coming over when there was a break in conversation. The meatball appetizer was 3 large meatballs that were most and flavorful. The chicken parm was tasty with good tasting spaghetti. Only improvement would be more sauce/gravy and chicken cooked a little less (see slight burn in picture). Goat cheese and hony ravioli was ok but the sauce was too sweet and needed maybe another type of cheese to thicken it. The steak and fries were excellent. The fries tasted like they were cook we d in duck fat but not sure. The chocolate gellato was amazing! The black currantvtea was not on the elmenu but a bartender special and was great. We plan to return and try one of the signature pizzas. Recommend more mocktails as we don't drink alcohol and the bartender looked like he was very talented.

I've been wanting to try Il Falo since I knew it was coming here. I'm a fan of Italian-inspired food and I like that Il Falo cooks with wood fire and quality ingredients. I dined here with a friend for a Birthday celebration. II Falo is a clean beautifulfully decorated restaurant. The staff here are kind and professional. Our waiter was Ava. The low table we were seated at was very comfortable I ordered the French 75, meatball appetizer, and the NY strip as an entree. All of my food had a great flavor and the ingredients tasted like quality ingredients. The only thing lacking was the temperature of the food. The food was not hot, which made me curious about the preparation process. For a menu that claims to be designed in collaboration with The James Beard Award-winning chef, I think I expected a way better food experience.

Our server was a little slow but still friendly. For starters we got a Margherita pizza, calamari, the grilled caesar, and they brought us a complimentary bread basket with oil. Everything except the caesar was good. I guess we didn't expect the caesar to taste THAT charred and the lettuce to not be chopped. For main entrees, we ordered lasagna, lobster ravioli, penne alla vodka, and alfredo. The vodka pasta and lasagna were unflavored and disliked among the table. I would not recommend those dishes. The alfredo was okay. The best dish was the lobster ravioli.

Spicy sausage pizza…read more *Spicy sausage pizzzzaaaahhhh!* Had a very pleasant evening here with friends and fam. Wasn't well planned so we just winged it with a party of 11. We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

I wasn't getting a lot of coffee notes from it, and it didn't feel as full-bodied as most stouts I've had. Not horrible, but I wasn't overly enthused. However food-wise, the meatball and ricotta pizza was my jam. I love ricotta anything, and the dough had a great chew to it. We stayed basically right up until closing, and the vibes definitely got less hospitable the closer to closing it got. 10 minutes before closing, we were asked to pour our beers into a plastic cup from our glass cups. Once upon a time, this place wasn't just a pizza restaurant--it was a pilgrimage site. People…read morewhispered about its crust like it was sacred text, and its awards lined the walls like a shrine to melted cheese and triumph. "Best Pizza" many years running back when that actually meant something. Now? It feels less like a restaurant and more like a nostalgic reenactment gone very wrong. The menu still reads like a dream--Carolina crust this, atomic sauce that--but ordering has become a real exercise in imagination. Half the ingredients are apparently on a spiritual journey and no longer physically present. You'll ask for sharp cheddar and get a thoughtful pause, followed by, "We don't have sharp cheddar, we might have a Wisconsin sharp cheddar?" --which, to their credit, has the word "cheddar" in it. The staff move with the energy of a group project that everyone forgot was due today. Pizzas emerge... interpretively. You might order a margherita and receive something that captures its essence, emotionally, if not structurally. It's less "wrong order" and more "pizza as a suggestion." A master of creative problem-solving, this cashier has boldly redefined the concept of "making change." Why fumble with buttons and math when you can simply hand over two beers and call it even? It's less of a transaction and more of a surprise gift exchange--one where the rules are unclear and the outcome is mildly concerning. And the wine list--oh, the wine list--is a beautiful historical document. A relic. A time capsule from at least six months ago, when bottles still existed and hope flowed freely. Now, asking for wine feels like asking about a long-lost friend. "We don't have that," they'll say, gazing into the middle distance. Still, there's something oddly annoying about it all. Like walking into a once-revered theater that still clings to its golden-age reputation. The performances feel like echoes rather than art, the lighting flat where it once dazzled, and every scene drags with the weight of trying to live up to a forgotten past. It's not bad enough to be a disaster--just disappointing enough to make you wonder if the hype was ever real or if you're just eating the ghost of someone else's great experience. Cheers!
