Ok so you enter the store and the staff are all wearing masks and gloves! It is suggested that everyone stay 6 feet away from eachother. The cafetería it seemed like not everyone was listening to keeping 6 feet away from eachother. But at least the kitchen staff was wearing their gloves and masks and they had hand sanitizer through out the store. Staff was very friendly and helpful when need be. The store it self I have always loved!! They sell a bunch of house hold things!! Somethung for every room in the house. For a place named IKEA I was shocked to find they didn't sell or service Kia's. The store has a in shambles feel. You cannot walk in any straight lines. The isle's are have tons of turns and bend and seem highly unorganized. Until you read online that this is intentional to keep you head moving left to right so you keep looking at stuff until you look at someone you want to buy. You will also find the same product all over the place because if you look at it enough times you will finally buy it. Shopping is a head game now days! Buyer Be Ware! I really like how they have mock rooms setup. Gives you some good building visual concepts. Some of their stuff seems pretty nice. Not like its going to break apart like all my Rooms to go garbage did. Kitchen, bathrooms and pimp my room experience can all be had under this roof. This IKEA location is bigger than the one in Tampa, but it was a bit of a mess. I realize customers pick stuff up and put it in random places, but it would be nice if it was a little bit more presentable. Displays are suppose to enhance the buying experiences as well as give ideas of what to do in the house. But it was a mess. I suppose it's really just the true realization that houses are messy for the most part, but I think it's nice to see stuff in their places and get ideas from IKEA. I loved that this location was bigger. It reminded me of the location in Chicago in Schaumburg. But it also reminded me that a lot of what they have at IKEA hasn't changed in at least ten years. Ten years ago I lived in an apartment and the stuff there now is the stuff I saw ten years ago. I did manage to pick up a few things. I still picked up my usual umbrellas, cork pot holders. I still admired their meatballs to eat and all that stuff in the market. The items haven't changed from ten years ago but the prices sure have. Horrible customer service. I purchased 3 wall shelves got home with one black and 2 grey. Boxes were mislabeled. I could not locate my receipt with the Christmas madness. Went to take the 2 grey back just for an exchange and they would not exchange without the receipt. They suggested call their customer service and provide them with the last 4 digits of my credit card, purchase amount, store location and purchase date. After being g on hold for 15 min the customer service agent gets on the phone and says he will email me the receipt so I can make my exchange. I am email a blank/corrupt html link. Ugh. I love IKEA.Come here is like getting lost in a winter wonderland. There are two massive levels here. The top floor, the one you start on, is full of furniture that's displayed and organized into living rooms and kitchens and bedrooms so you can see the possibilities of how your home could look if you buy their stuff. When it comes to buying their stuff, you have a few categories of options. You have the great looking stuff that is priced at a premium, you have the mid-level stuff that is priced mid-level, and you have the endless amounts of little trinkets that are all like $5-$10. These are my favorite. I find myself with a mountain of these every time I come here. That's what the second floor primarily holds. Kitchen gadgets, bathroom decor, batteries, cutting boards, cute little plant holders. All the stuff you need and plenty of stuff you didn't know you needed. Even if you just look at one item every 20 feet or so, you could spend a lot of time here, an they employ the casino method of not having any windows so you have no concept of time while you're inside, so just, be mindful of the time. Overall, this place is five stars all the way. I don't think I could improve upon it if I tried. The real kicker here, though, is the food court they offer you in the middle of your journey. Me and my girlfriend have shopped here multiple times before and have had nothing but good experiences, but after the poor experience we had today, we are NEVER shopping here again!!! We purchased a desk a few months ago and came in to get a copy of the receipt for it today so we could be reimbursed for it through our job. We went to the customer service desk to request it only to be told that they couldn't do it for us. Funny, there are multiple signs behind the customer service desk stating that they can pull it up with our card number. We politely asked for a reason why and they just said that, "because of everything going on" they couldn't do it for us. What does that even mean??? What does pulling a receipt up have to do with anything going on right now??? We again politely asked for a reason and the rep helping us (Anne) couldn't give us one, so she called her manager to talk to us. She was laughing on the phone with her manager, which was very rude. The manager (named Diana) then came over to us (standing only a foot away) and told us that she couldn't pull up a receipt for us, still unable to give us a reason why. We AGAIN asked for a reason, and instead of giving us a reason, Diana thought it would be a bright idea to accuse us of putting her safety at risk just by talking to her!! Lady, you're the one standing less than a foot away from us!!! What the heck are you even talking about??? She was extremely rude and patronizing and showed absolutely no desire to help us!!! When we called her out on standing so close to us, she said she didn't have to because she was wearing a mask. WHAT???!!!! That is not how that works at all!!! Then because of the poor service we had just received, we decided we wanted to return what we had just purchased and she started asking us if we had the items sanitized. We literally had just bought them! Are they going to act like people don't go throughout their whole store touching things without buying them??? What difference does it make just because I bought it?? On an additional note, I find it interesting how we can pass a pen back and forth to have an item returned and that's considered safe, but asking to have a receipt pulled up apparently means that me and my girlfriend are endangering the safety of the entire store!! Pick and choose much??? Never shopping at IKEA again!!! I pray that we're able to find the receipt for the desk so we can return it because we do not want to support a company who thinks it's okay to talk to their customers like this!!! Doing a little shopping, bath mats, towel hook, etc... then stopped for an afternoon lunch... I chose the Swedish meatball plate, my wife the chicken tenders... There were side's included- veggies, French fries, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes w gravy... and a soda, I had bottled water... The whole thing came to less than $20... and the servings were large... we could have shared one plate... I took away 2 stars because the employees here are just awful! The last 2 times I have gone to IKEA, I've left pissed off because of their lack of customer service. It's difficult to find someone who will help and then when you do... good luck with that. I was told last time that IKEA is all "do it yourself" and they don't help customers. Excuse me???? .... The question was about a mirror I was purchasing and I needed to know if the brackets came with it or if I had to purchase them separately. But again, it's "do it yourself", so if you get home and don't have the screws or brackets you'll be heading to Lowes or Home Depot. 4 Stars because the furniture deals are AMAZING, the designs have something for most people, and they have cheap food. What can I say- They kind of have the whole shopping thing down to a science. I dig the fact that Ikea allows you to shop in a couple of ways. 1- You like to meander around and let yourself float through the rabbit hole, picking up random nicknacks on your way and chowing down on meatballs. 2- You've got your eye on the prize and head straight to the warehouse to pick up the item that you have already confirmed is in stock (online), and whose product number you have memorized. 3- You know you need a love seat but you're on the prowl for the right feel, and heck- you're not afraid to pick up a new vase while you're at it. Get your pitch-forks out, people! I must admit, even though my fella loves nothing more than a hard-earned plate of meatballs on a Sunday, I'm not that into the meatballs... I made a purchase on Thursday, for pick up. I was informed it would be ready Thursday between 5-8pm. I called and they told me it usually takes 1-2 hours and if it's not ready they could get it for me. So, after about two hours of making the purchase I went into the store to get my item. I then was told I'd have to wait for the email saying it's ready but it wouldn't take too long. So I walked around the store for about an hour and no email. So I asked the customer service desk and was informed I have to be patient. They told me it would definitely be ready by Friday, which was yesterday. It is now Saturday I have called a total of 5 times to see what is wrong and why hasn't anyone contacted me about the obvious issue. No one person has been able to help, everyone has been telling me to be patient as if I haven't been since my order was supposed to be ready two days ago. The customer service number is helpless and the people answering the phone are rude. Today I have called three times bc after each time they have hung up on me. THREE TIMES! This is terrible, there needs to be more communication and let the customers know there's an issue. Or at least WAIT until the order is ready to charge people, my order isn't ready but the charge did go on my bank account seconds after making the online order. what a terrible establishment. There are two floors, the top level is mostly mini showrooms of set up furniture to help you realize that a 320 square foot living area is totally possible. You can see and touch the wares, sit down, or even lay down if you dare (but furniture cooties though). There is a whole section devoted to kids furnishings. The cafeteria is also upstairs where you can hit the meatball jackpot and try some apple cake. I like the desserts and putting food on a tray gets me all excited. The bottom floor has all the shopping items that you can stuff into your IKEA shopping bag. This is where you select the items that you looked at upstairs. Great deals on kitchen items and linens. The lighting section is my favorite, pretty lanterns, lamps, and some LEDs. Beyond the check out area is the Scandinavian grocery corner of the store and a snack bar. Try a lingonberry soda, it's good, but even better if you mix it with Sprite. Be prepared for large check out lines, and this store is so full on the weekends. You can pull your car up to the front of the store if you want to load up there instead of hauling larger purchases out to your vehicle. Parking: Grab the first spot you find and walk Traffic: It's in Millenia area, so it's a bit of a hustle getting all the way back to the store and then making your way out. Store: Clean & has all the stuff every other IKEA has Check out: I went on a Saturday this last time and it was pretty crazy. I think I was about 15th in line, but they did open another lane next to me and we made it out in about 10 minutes after that. Here's why I go to IKEA in general. $1 toilet brushes, trash cans, hampers, napkins and lot of kids furniture. I try not to get suckered into all the impulse buys. Make a list and stick to it! Lastly, the kids club is impossible to get into. I seriously wouldn't waste my time waiting to get in because when they are busy you'll be lucky to leave them for 30 minutes. I've worked retail before and I can tell your first hand I would dread having to clean up this gigantic store. I love IKEA - but at the same it it's huge and the amount of people squished in one building at a time can be a total sore. If you have anxiety go to ikea when it first opens, close to closing or on a Sunday afternoon. If you don't suffer from anxiety you will during your shopping trip.. It's heaven don't get me wrong... the prices of furniture is the best around. The material of furniture is strong, the selection of items is enormous and most employees are very friendly. When you first walk in you can either grab a cart and take an enormous elevator up to the 2nd floor or take the escalator up and grab a cart there. As my husband realized the carts are very loosely goosey and don't move around like your typical grocery cart. You have to follow the yellow brick road, as my son used to say around the store. The carts don't willingly go over the little lip on the ground in the showcase areas. I suppose they do it on purpose to keep the carts out of the area. Can we talk about how small those living spaces are and they all are beautifully decorated?! If I ever won the lottery, IKEA would be Coming to my house. Once you walk through the upstairs you can either take an elevator with your cart or take the stairs. The kids area (so cool) is on the bottom floor. You'll get a pager and when it goes off you'll need to go get your child. Don't forget about the warehouse... make sure you write down what aisle, box and bin your object is is so you know where to go. Checkout lines can be intense but you can always have someone in your party go to the mini cafe downstairs and get a cinnamon roll. I will be honest and say that I am truly not a fan of the Ikea store, not because of the products, they, I like, it's the concept of having to go through the whole store before getting to an exit. I think the most entertaining part of my recent visit was watching a couple of greedy folks practically run me and my friend over in the cafeteria line to get a plate full of meatballs with extra gravy and french fries. They kept telling the guy: "Don't be stingy now! Load up that there plate!!" For $5.99... really? I'm not really sure what I was doing in line myself actually but my friend and I were hungry and the smoked salmon salad with mixed greens left much to be desired but watching the folks drown their plates in gravy ahead of us and then order a kids tenders meal for the "kids at home" made for good entertainment. I like coming to IKEA as much as the next person. It's a place I will frequent probably once a year and is great when you need help with storage and the kitchen supply area is pretty decent but as for actual furniture; I wouldn't come here for it. I once spent close to $40 on a small table that I think was made out of pencil shavings that were crazy glue'd together, the darn thing didn't even last me a month before it collapsed with no hope of restoration. I ended up going to Goodwill and getting a practically new table that 5 years later is still going strong for 1/3 of the price and much prettier. They also claim to offer delivery, installation, and all that other jazz but the one time I was seriously inquiring about it I got next to no help so I went and bought what I needed elsewhere instead. I am updating my previous 5-star review to a 1 star review. My advice to all IKEA customers is to avoid delivery at all cost. Google "IKEA delivery complaints." You will find yourself among thousands of poor reviews describing extremely late shipment or items never reaching their destination. Imagine changing your work schedule or taking time off because you're expecting your items to arrive, only to have your delivery date changed twice without notice. If you need to make formal complaints, try calling around 8-9 p.m. eastern, because otherwise you'll never get through. Not even the third party delivery companies can get ahold of IKEA at a normal hour. Seriously heed my advice, you will deeply regret choosing delivery when you are desperately waiting for the furniture that you've already purchased. I have always loved Ikea but the customer service was awful this time in the cafeteria. I was confused about the difference in meatballs because I wanted something vegetarian and they have one meatball called "plant" and one called "vege". I tried both and couldn't decide so I asked for 4 of each. A woman who worked there walked in and said "we don't do that" rudely. Then the employees started whispering and making fun of me within eye shot of me, it was really mean. Half of the sodas were out of order. We checked out and sat down to eat. While we were eating they started putting up the chairs around us and mopping. It's IKEA, what more can I say? It's nice having it nearby. Each visit doesn't feel like a make-or-break trip. It's always busy here, but not chaotic. My wife and I like to check out the As-Is section. You can find some great stuff there. It's usually stuff that people have assembled and then discovered doesn't work in their home. We saved over $50 on a Malm desk and glass topper yesterday. There was a disassembly station nearby with tools for us to break it down. It fit in our car just fine after that. What an experience. I like Ikea and have not been in well over a year but today it was the worst I have ever experienced. You expect parking to be difficult and there to be crowds, yes I get that. We arrived and found the elevator was broken. (was with someone and escalator was not an option) We walked "backwards" through the store to get to the only other elevator. (Ok things break I get it) We got to do our shopping and grabbed a quick bit in the café. People working there looked miserable and really gave the place a prison cafeteria feel. When we went to go back downstairs the ONLY other elevator was not broken. We are on the top floor and BOTH elevators are not working. I honestly witnessed a 91 year old woman (they mentioned her age) walking down all the stairs to get out. She had 2 people helping her but still. I was SO worried for her! At that age? I mentioned it to a worker that perhaps they should call a manager to at least be present, they could not have cared less. I finally was able to make my purchase and head to the loading dock. While the staff was pretty non-existent inside, outside was a different story. I had to wait for them to "pull" one of my items that was not available in the self serve area. This process took 20 minutes of waiting to get ONE of the several items I purchased. While at the dock, a worker told me I had to empty my cart while waiting because he wanted to take the empty cart back inside. I would think if they took a few employees and moved them inside to pull the stock promptly then they would not have people with carts filled waiting on ONE item. Just seemed like a rough day at Ikea. Things broken down, poor service and slightly rude employees. I think I may wait another year before returning. read more

When we asked for the location/direction of a certain item/place, most of the employees were super friendly and helpful! Hours later, our stomach startled grumbling and we decided to eat at their cafeteria. My brother and I got the Swedish meatballs, a chocolate cake and Swedish apple pie and my mother got a salad. They give fair amount of meatballs and if you aren't satisfied then you can ask for additional meatballs for a just a 1$. Masks required but IKEA gave up on crowd control. It is as busy as ever and no IKEA workers around. People touching things and lying on beds. Folks are wearing masks but it's hard to social distance when so many people are crowding areas. And, of course, with the IKEA layout, once you have what you need, you must still walk the entire store to get out. The lines are long with no social distancing markers. However I scored many kitchen items for dirt cheap such as a mandoline slicer, a salad dryer basket among other things I needed for my kitchen! This review is based solely on an experience with a purchase and delivery. Last week, we purchased a new king size bed and mattress. We purchased it the day before we were set to move on a Wednesday and purchased next day delivery, so we'd have it by that next day (Thursday) and have something to sleep on. We couldn't get movers to move the rest of our things until Friday, but we'd be ok for Thursday night, if we at least had a mattress. The original time frame we were given for our delivery was from 9am-1pm. This time passed, but no delivery. Husband called IKEA to find out the delivery status, and then we were told it would actually be delivered between 2pm-6pm because the person who set up delivery at IKEA gave us the wrong time, for whatever reason. This already upset my husband because 1)not our fault, shouldn't be our problem & 2)he didn't want strangers in our home without him being there, since he had to be at work by 6pm. It would just be my son and myself (pregnant with twins), which made my husband uncomfortable. God forbid you let the wrong person into your home, who knows what could happen. Whether anyone else feels that way or not, is irrelevant. We did go to ikea ourselves again, after picking our son up from school, sometime between 3-4pm. The manager really didn't seem to care. Maybe he was assuming we just had our panties in a bunch because we wanted our new bed, even though my husband explained that we just moved that day and a pregnant woman probably shouldn't sleep on the floor. We were given a refund of the $29 delivery fee, but it would have been nice if the manager could've acted like he cared in the least bit. We were told that the driver just had a few more stops and would be at our home shortly. We drove back home and continued to wait. It didn't even come by 6pm, so my husband called again to make sure we'd have something to sleep on, especially since I am pregnant and I'm sure sleeping on the floor is NOT recommended. Under any other circumstance, I would have just slept on the floor, no big deal. Delivery finally arrived shortly after 6pm, but my husband had already gone to work and spoke to the delivery company about just leaving our delivery right outside the door. Initially, they said they couldn't & wouldn't do it, but after several angry phone calls, the bed and the mattress were delivered right outside of our front door by 7pm. Unfortunately, after waiting all that time, I couldn't just bring it in the house by myself, so I ended up still sleeping on the floor that night with my son for a few hours until my husband got home from work around midnight and brought the mattress inside for us. Like I said, maybe other people wouldn't mind just letting whoever into their home and it wouldn't have been an issue for anyone else. I'm not someone who feels that way, though, and neither is my husband. Even though we did get the delivery fee refunded, it would have been ideal to get the delivery on time or AT LEAST have the manager pretend to care about giving decent customer service for a delivery we paid hundreds of dollars for. Overall, we love going to IKEA. They have great items and great deals. However, I really can't see myself ever paying for delivery ever again. It's not even worth the $29, if I need it right away. Maybe if there was no real need or time constraint, but very unhappy with the lack of customer service. Almost forgot to mention, the reason we HAD to stop by IKEA the day after we just made our purchase to try to find out where our items were was because neither of the TWO listed numbers actually worked! When you call one, it simply directs to call the other & repeat. Beyond frustrating. read more

I love coming to IKEA to see the new "rooms" they put together, new items they have,and to eat Swedish Meatballs! I've purchased a lot of furniture from here, and one tip I have is when buying furniture, check to make sure you have all the hardware you need. It was very crowded today due to the rain and a lot of screaming children! read more
