Now THIS is a gift shop. Whenever I need to pick up something unique for friends or family, Miscellaneous always comes in clutch. They have something for just about everyone! Located in Ivanhoe Village, Miscellaneous has a sleek and sophisticated storefront with an all black exterior and thoughtfully designed window visuals. Their store gets rearranged pretty often to highlight the fun, seasonal/trendy inventory that they get. I love checking out their barware, grooming products, candles and small home decor items. I would encourage anyone on the hunt for cool stuff to go to their shop and support local! read more

Misc Market is one of my favorite places to shop local in Orlando and my go-to spot for all of my gifting needs. I mean... mostly gifts for myself, but I was able to knock out all of my last minute holiday shopping last year in one swoop thanks to Miscellaneous! The owners Dede and Landrea are the absolute sweetest sister-duo, and they put so much heart and attention to detail into this beautifully curated shop. I love how they constantly change things up season to season, redecorate the store, bring in new products, and create cute themed vignettes. It's different every time I visit which is always a fun surprise! I personally love their witty greeting cards, enamel pins, fabulous candles and match holders, incense, cocktail glassware, stationery & paper goods. Most recently, they had an adorable summer picnic section with the cutest baskets and other picnic essentials. There's so much to look at, and it takes me about 3 laps around the store just to make sure I saw everything. The shop is conveniently located in Ivanhoe Village and ample street parking is usually available during their store hours. The next time you find yourself in this neighborhood, definitely make Misc Market a stop on your list! read more

5 Star update! Still an epic spot for all your gifting needs, but I wanted to add that they are handling COVID well (masks, distance, etc). I love this shop. Since discovering it last year, I've been low key stalking them on social media and Yelp and buying gifts there on the (fairly) reg. A few things to note- during COVID, they are making sure to keep to a certain number of people inside at a time. Luckily, it didn't take long for me to get inside. They also have stickers on the floor to help guide you to keep distance while in line. And, all the staff and shoppers were wearing masks. A hugs plus! Besides that, the shop has gotten even more fabulous (if you can believe it). They have sections for cards, home goods, and various fun gifts around to make a perfectly-curated shop. I have to admit, I've bought more for myself here than actual gifts, but that's just to say everything is AMAZING and makes my home feel more design-y. Finally, the owners are LOVELY. They help you out with any questions, remember you, and offer beautiful bags with tissue paper, so you can literally walk out and give the gift without any wrapping required. Stopped in. Left with everything needed for all my gals for Christmas! Great selection of things you don't find in any store. Also it smells amazing in there! But the more amazing part you can buy the scent to take home to make your home smell amazing too! My favorite part is the card wall. Optimus you are guaranteed a good laugh. All the cards are so unique and fit the occasion more than any hallmark card. They also have a great loyalty membership so be sure to sign up! read more

This store is amazing. It has a wide variety of items, such as candles, sunglasses, hair clips, purses, books, and cards. It looks like a store that would be super expensive, but I was surprised that the prices were reasonable. I got a nice pair of sunglasses for something like $15. One of the owners was there, and she was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, this is a great store and worth taking a trip out of your way. A little bit of this, a little bit of that... Miscellaneous Market is the hidden gem of the Ivanhoe strip, located next to Better than Sex and White Wolf Cafe. I came here recently to do a little bit of last minute Christmas shopping and boy did I come to the right place. The gift givers dream with items ranging from books, stationery, home decor, bar essentials, accessories you name it and this store probably has it. What I had really enjoyed was how well everything was organized in the store, making it easier for shoppers like myself to navigate and browse through. When it comes to how they were handling shopping during the pandemic, I have to say that the shop definitely took extra precautions to promote social distancing as well as patrons and workers were all required to wear masks.. they had truly created a safe shopping environment to not only myself but also for all their other customers which I had truly appreciated. The shop is also family owned by the nicest and most genuine family you will ever meet, they are all so welcoming and eager to help you with any questions you might have. Overall I have to say I would highly recommend this quaint shop to anyone in need of inspiration to find that perfect gift for that special someone. What a cute and unique find! I wanted to find gifts for my coworkers from my Orlando trip, and let me tell you this place does not disappoint! The moment you walk in your hit with this majestic smell. I don't know if its from the candles or soaps but they need to find a way to sell that too! They have books, soaps, chocolate, scrubs, cheese boards, face masks, novelty goods, bowls/cups/glasses, & so so so much more. I can go on for hours on all the goodies they have - but I believe you just need to go and see what this shop has to offer! I spent a long time looking through their things but as I was walking back to the register I was distracted with more things. I love the women empowerment vibe that they have here! The end goal was to get things for other people, but I couldn't help but get myself some goodies too. Will make a point to come back to Orlando so I can come back here! read more

I love this store. They have so many great gift options (for friends and myself). I tend to gravitate towards the candles, stickers, and drinkware, but you can also find bath and shower products, paper goods, and so much more. They regularly change up what's in stock, so you'll want to keep coming back to see what they've added. They're also pretty active on Instagram (@misc.market) so make sure to follow to stay up-to-date with new additions. During the pandemic they've done a fantastic job of making their customers safety a priority, so they've made me an even bigger fan. Check them out and be prepared to buy way more than you planned. read more

Our friends were casually walking by some shops today and out of all of them this one grabbed our attention. Our vibes were pulled in and let me tell you, it was the best time ever. Not only was everything already perfect but it was strategically color coordinated. Very beautiful energy and amazing quality products. You will find everything you need and didn't know you needed. Very pro black and pro LGBTQ+ friendly and pro women. The shop owners were very kind and also had beautiful energy. I highly recommend you stop by, even if it's just to look. read more

I finally stopped in this little shop after working next door several months and it was everything I hoped for. The perfect shop for gifts with a pretty large variety so you're likely to find something for anyone you may be shopping for. The items are all unique and you're not likely to see anything that you'd see in an everyday department store. The best way I can describe it is a much better version of the Francesca's chain. I checked a few gifts off my holiday shopping list and will definitely be back for more gifts in the future. Kitschy with a whole lot of glam, this store is fabulous. Family run and operated, you can feel the love when you walk in. The ladies that own the store are always SO friendly and helpful, and they're always there working their butt off! Their displays are well organized and most all items are fairly priced. Each visit I always find something to gift to friends while finding a few home decor items for myself. No private parking lot, be prepared to parallel park on the street. This isn't the least bit of an issue for me, but it may be for others. Stop by if you're in the area, say hi to the ladies and shop for a bit. No buyers remorse here! read more

Super cute store!! I loved absolutely everything inside of it! Had everything from custom cards and stickers to candles, jewelry, bags and cocktail/bar accessories. We took forever just roaming around looking at everything the store had. I bought 2 earrings and love them. On our way out we were offered popsicles that were so good and refreshing! I have driven by this storefront multiple times on the way to my work, but have yet to stop by. Today I changed that! Right away, the airy ambiance blew me away. This place smells AMAZING. Maybe it's the candles? Maybe it's an essential oil? I have no clue, but right away the atmosphere made me feel welcomed and like I could stay for awhile. Spoiler: I stayed awhile. From homewares to gifts to cocktail accessories, everywhere I looked I saw unique items that I haven't seen in any other store. I felt like a kid in a candy store--everything was pleasing to the eye, from displays to stickers. The store is ran by two sisters who KNOW what to sell. This place is fantastic for anyone you are shopping for--especially yourself. So next time you need to find the perfect throw pillow for that new couch or a decanter for your whiskey, or the perfectly sassy sticker for your 10-year-old Nalgene you can't get rid of, consider shopping local at Miscellaneous Market. Visited the shop yesterday for the first time and fell in loooove! Thanks for the awesome service and warm welcome! I love the books I picked up and can't wait to come back for more. It's great to have such a well-curated gift shop I know I'll be able to count on to always have the perfect gift or home decor item. Adjectives Market was founded by former attorney Jeremy Thompson and they have now grown to five locations. Adjectives Market sells new, antique, and vintage items. They focus on unique but affordable items. The idea for adjectives came to Jeremy from his love of the kind of vintage markets you find in New York, Atlanta, and Miami. He wanted the store to show how vintage items could be incorporated into modern design. Adjectives was chosen for the name of the store because it represents the large vocabulary one would need to describe it. Each store curates new and vintage inspired home decor. I was blown away but how large this store is. There are multiple rooms filled with furniture and home decor. Everything was so beautifully displayed. They also sell holiday decorations, clothes, accessories, and jewelry from a mixture of artists, home decor experts, and craftsmen. You are sure to find things you have never seen before. This store answers the problem I have when I go to antique malls or stores. You can see an item you love on a dusty shelf but you can't work out in your mind how it will fit into your space. Everything here is displayed in such a thoughtful way that you can easily imagine it in your own home. I especially love to visit when they have all of their holiday decor out. If you are looking for a one of a kind gift, this is the perfect place to shop. I could spend hours exploring this store and I literally want everything. I just wish they would open in South Florida. The beautiful part is that if you walk towards the other end you'll end up at Marshalls where you can find other goodies as well. First, seating can be a challenge. There is plenty of outdoor seating but not much indoors. The day we went it was pretty hot and sitting outside was not the most enjoyable experience at times. Second, I fully support spending money at local businesses but the tipping culture here felt a bit excessive. I bought a bag of coffee beans with no drink and was prompted for a tip. I spent $45 for 12 pieces of chocolates at Oban Chocolatier and was asked for a tip there too. Same thing when I spent about $25 on four cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse. I am happy to support but it started to feel like a lot in a not enjoyable way. Third, the hours between vendors can be a bit awkward. We came around brunch time which worked for some spots but others were not open yet. For example, Domu does not open until dinner (5PM) and Gyukatsu Rose was not opening until later in the afternoon (3 PM) Overall, I think this is a great place to check out especially if you enjoy trying a variety of local spots. Just plan ahead for seating and timing and be prepared for lots of tip prompts along the way.

The bag policy permits only clear bags, except for diaper bags and bags for medical items. There is a maximum of 2 minors per paid adult allowed. All minors 17 and under have to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian 21+. There were guided parking and ample parking spaces when we arrived. Check points were set up for bag checks, metal detectors and of course ticket collection. The staff members working the bag check and the exit gate were courteous and polite. The Fairgrounds was not crowded so it was easy to walk about and not bump into other people. There was law enforcement presence inside and outside the Fairgrounds.

One thing that really surprised me was the $20 per person helicopter rides over the fairgrounds. We almost did it and I kind of regret not taking the chance--hopefully they bring that back next year. Overall a really fun family outing with lots for younger kids to see and do.

I loved the wall color they chose and Sydney went absolutely above and baying and actually got me the paint color. How nice is that?
