Cute vintage shop in the Milk District. They have a wide variety of goods, but mostly vintage clothing. I like that they have a selection of items from different countries and different time periods. There was a Llama Poncho that was handmade in the '40s on the same rack as other items ranging from the 20s to the 80s, so cool to see history through clothing! It's a small shop, so it only needs one worker at a time. She did a good job engaging with everyone and answering any questions. Cute little boutique in the heart of the Milk District full of vintage clothing, accessories, home decor, and more. I love coming here and browsing during Tasty Tuesdays (when the food trucks are popped up out back). I've definitely found some treasures here throughout the years. One of my favorite vintage tees and rings is from Etoile. I've also found some nice vintage blazers in the past. I'm happy they expanded their shop to include more home decor and furniture. I spotted some nice mid-century and wicker pieces during my last visit. They also have a decent sized mens section, so my hubs also enjoys perusing their inventory. Parking is usually available in the lot behind the building (unless there's an event going on), but you can also find street parking along Robinson Street. read more

Fallon was so fun and the shop had great vintage clothing, bags, belts and shoes. Found a great multi-season dress and cute shirt. Plus Thursday's they give out amazing Blondie Brownies. A beautiful store with lots of hidden gems of clothing, furniture, artwork, books, vases, and so much more! Just be prepared to spend at least $30-40 on a single decent item. The quality of everything is pristine which explains the price, and they definitely have a variety of rare or statement items. Tags are all labeled clearly, and there are separate changing rooms for both women and men. The staff were chatting amongst themselves and let me browse undisturbed which was fine. I loved admiring the collection of pieces; it was just out of my budget unfortunately! They do have a small sale rack of clothes and a $5 bin, but I wasn't a fan of what they had at the time because they were poorer quality, had tacky designs, or were not my size. When I was researching places to visit for vintage or consignment shops, this one came up and mentioned clothing and mid-century modern furniture. It's in the Milk District - make sure to park in the lot behind the store, which you can access via the alley before the shop. (If you miss it, you'll end up in the lot for the other businesses and could potentially be towed.) There are a few spots for Etoile and the others are marked for other businesses in their lot. We had no trouble finding a spot when we went on Friday late morning. The shop has a mix of furniture, home goods, and clothing available in the three rooms. They have some incredible deadstock vintage pieces, including denim and shorts that were on a separate rack. I would say pricing is comparable to other vintage shops I've been to before, maybe a little more reasonable than some of the ones in California. I tried on some of the deadstock shorts and found a pair that fit and looked great on. Got them for a little over $40 after sales tax and they were made in the US. The gal who worked there was friendly and offered to help or answer any questions. I'm pretty sure she had a vintage ensemble on too, which was cool. Service was very rude and our experience was very unpleasant. The shop owner gave us very bad attitude from the moment we walked in and acted quite entitled. When we were finding the pieces of clothing we like, she commented very rudely on how we didn't bring the hangers over and made us go find and get them. She also looked visibly annoyed as we looked through the clothing and was very obviously micro-aggressive. When we were purchasing the clothing we wanted, we reached to feel the fabric and she said 'oh my god' exasperatedly just because we felt the clothing we were about to buy??? We're just some travelers looking to shop in Orlando and don't know what we did to deserve the micro agression. Clerk would not let her try on because they were "closing in 5 minutes and had to be at an appointment " - ok no problem! We out. But hey! She offered a business card to come back. I love this little gem! It's tucked away and easily missed, but worth going out of your way to stop and check out. They have parking behind the building which is super convenient given the Milk District parking situation. I've been back a few times since but on my first visit I met the owner, Fallon (sp?), who was super nice and very helpful. I tried on a jumpsuit that fit well but needed to be "modernized" a bit - it is vintage after all! She had so many suggestions and told me exactly what to tell the seamstress when I take it in to be altered. She even recommended one to me! I've found some fun, funky pieces here to add to my wardrobe. It's fun to check out thrift stores but if you're one that loves the treasures without all the work, this place's vintage is curated for you already and has some consistently awesome finds for both men and women. They also have a loyalty program after you make 10 purchases you get 10 or 20 (I can't remember!) off which is nice! The clothes are always 'tres chic' and the little tiny store has a wonderfully curious, quirky atmosphere! Fallon, the owner, is wonderful. She is very friendly and accommodating and really has an eye for fashion. You can see this with their instagram account (making Orlandoans look FABULOUS!). I also love the jewelry and accessories made by locals. This place is like a little incubator of unique finds. I am IN LOVE with this place! I don't live locally and sure wish I did so I could visit this boutique regularly! Tiny but inviting and well-curated. The layout of the store is almost inspiring. The space is used purposely without giving the impression of being crammed with inventory. The collection of vintage items are all in impeccable condition! Clean, free of holes and signs of wear, all at a reasonable price. And the men's section is one of the best I've encountered! They also have a wonderful selection of locally made jewelry and accessories that really stand-out as compared to other places I've visited. I must mention the owner, Fallon, who really made this shopping experience memorable for me. She was sweet and very helpful and hand-selected items for me that were flattering to my body type and 100% my style. Unfortunately, this was a more disappointing shop than I was expecting. Finding good vintage shops when I am traveling is my favorite part of the trip, so I was excited to read an article that listed this shop as a place to go. However, the selection was quite limited, though the prices were reasonable, there just was hardly anything there. The decor is worth mentioning as it was very cute and fun, particularly the dressing rooms. And the person working was very friendly. Whoever is picking for this shop has sort of missed the mark, there is so much potential there, but similar pieces can easily be found in any number of thrift stores. I love the idea of this store. Katie has over 100 vendors who create handmade art, clothing and accessories and she features their items in her store. It's a beautiful business relationship between retail client and vendor! One that is very real and humble. I think that it's part of the reason that all of the prices are dynamite! I have been shopping at Etoile since it opened its doors a few years ago on Mills. I've never stopped going to it since. Katie, the shop owner is so helpful and friendly you feel like you are shopping in your bestie's closet while you score some amazing deals! Not only does she know how to handpick great vintage finds but, she also has hundreds of local independent vendors and brands selling their stuff too. I love the idea of community that emanates from the shopping experience at Etoile. Shopping in the "Milk District" (Etoile, Covert, Wiggly World, The Milk Bar) is seriously a great little afternoon trip on a weekend. Fashion Attack! I literally need Fashion Therapy after walking into this vintage gem. The owner sells clothes, jewelry, purses, head wraps, and scarves. The store is eclectic and you will find rare fashion finds. I honestly could stay in this store for hours because the quality of clothing is impeccable. I felt for a moment that I was part of time traveling. Why? I was able to look at clothes from different eras, including the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. I ended up purchasing this gorgeous dress and shirt that reminded me of the clothing from Mad Men. The way the store is set up is too adorable for words. The owner took her time to invest in this clothing store and it shows. As soon as you walk in, you will be able to tell the heart and soul of the store. The store tells a story, and in this story you do end up with a fairy tale ending. The owner of the store is super sweet and incredibly helpful. Honestly this woman has a tremendous gift and we Orlandoans are very lucky to have a shop that exists that is full of life and definitely inspires creativity at another level. This is my ultimate favorite vintage shop that has ever existed. Seriously had a love at first site moment last year when I locked eyes with a funky pizza necklace they sold here along with a massive deer ring. Etoile boutique is built from creativity and by every means they are sassy and spunky. Just a run down of what the store carries: button downs, feather headbands, rompers, hand made jewerly, floral tops, high waisted shorts, vintage dresses, loafers, knitted pieces, scarfs, bow ties. This is not your average boutique. The owner selects the finest pieces of vintage goodies to sale in the store. They make shopping a breeze at this place since all the attire is stuff I want to take home to my closet! The owner Katie is adorable and extremely helpful. She went out of her way to go inside her car to pull out additional vintage belts so I can buy them. No wonder this store gets alot of recognition. The only real reason I took a star off of this was because the girl working in the store wasn't too friendly. She said hi when I came in, but then didn't say anything at all to me while I shopped... and then asked me what $1.50 times 4 was (when I bought 4 pins priced at $1.50 each)... um... isn't that YOUR job?! What a fun shop to go to! I have been hearing a lot about Etoile Boutique and I finally got to stop in today. I agree with Daya A...it's not your average boutique...you can tell the shop owner and workers pick the finest and best items to feature in their store and you will definitely find something you like. They have a ton of clothes, jewelry (very unique jewelry too), shoes, purses, etc... Another great find that I got today was soy candles made by JillianSays. There were tons of scents but I went with Macintosh Apple. I swear you, it is the best smelling candle I've ever bought. I'm sitting on my couch, writing this review, and I keep getting whiffs of that delightful smell. There were also some soaps and even some doggie soaps! It's a small shop but it's a great shop. The two employees that were there were really nice and it was a pleasure having someone to carry on a conversation with. They told me all about their deals and their new stuff and how often they get new things (at least every week). Etoile is a great little boutique! Falon, the owner, is such a sweetheart and helped my best friend and I shop for some music festival attire. Every time I've shopped in her store the workers are super nice. Despite it's quaint size, Etoile's selection of vintage clothing is on par. Some days are better than others, like any thrift store, but almost every time I leave with a unique piece that one couldn't find in any other store in the area. They also do alterations!! DO NOT ever have any alterations done here if you value your clothes at all. I dropped off 2 unworn men's suits and a pair of pants in the middle of August 2012 and was told they would be done in a week. I waited 90 days and finally demanded my clothes back. They were unfinished and ruined. The manager and shop is being held responsible for all costs to replace the suits and pants and will end up costing me way more time and money than I ever expected or paid originally. In the 90 days it took me to get my clothes back, the only excuse I didn't hear as to why it was taking so long was "my dog ate it." When I received my suits back, they were unfinished and it literally looked like the dog ate it. Not one stitch was done correctly. I would not trust her to sew a button. She lied consistently about the state of the garments as well as why they were incomplete. Broken sewing machines, fashion shows, fights with business associates and buyers, lack of staff, vacation time, email problems, etc. Grisel not only had the nerve to try and charge me for the alterations, but she presented the clothes as finished and complete. The seams were not flat sewn, there were holes in the fabric, the pockets were misaligned, and all the stitching appeared to be done by a second grader with their first sewing machine. Grisel attempted to argue with me about how complicated the fabric was to work with and that it was all hand sewn and took countless hours. I'm sure it does take many hours to make two beautiful suits look like they were in a knife fight with each other. Helped me out when I was in a pinch! Was throwing a 1970's Soul Train birthday party a while back and due to busy schedule couldn't get to any other boutique during operating hours. Luckily Etoile was open late AND had a fab selection. I ended up with the perfect printed, halter maxi dress for my theme (and even had a few other options I could have taken home). The girl working helped pull options for me and I was in and out with the perfect party dress in 20 minutes flat. I'll definitely be returning! Prices are pretty reasonable.
