Even though when you think about IKEA, probably being at its busiest on Saturday and Sundays within the store, we took advantage of the lighter traffic enroute and just dealt with the high demand within the store. Overall good choice. We got exactly what we needed, and the overall experience was much better than previous visits as there were no lines due to the self check-out format and the addition of all the self check-out kiosks. I have fun here usually. It's like a free attraction where you try to escape the maze. Get some exercise meandering around. I like the food, and have tried a few different types of meatballs from them. There are 2 different vegetable types that I've enjoyed. Best experience was a Christmas buffet many years ago, a perfect opportunity to try herring & various fish. I find their furniture displays whimsical, clever, & helpful, very inspiring. I don't like how prices have really increased, and lately, service hasn't been as friendly as before. I wish I had held onto a couple of their chairs. The current prices are much higher now. One interesting new room is downstairs for design consultations. Join their family club & receive a free coffee when you visit. Now you order it yourself from a touchscreen menu downstairs. Their candy section by the pound is gone, and their food market has moved, same choices as before. The delivery service is horrible. I placed an order on June 16 and selected July 3 as the delivery date. They provided a tight delivery timeline () between 8 am-8 pm. On July 2 (the day before the scheduled delivery), they confirmed the delivery appointment and indicated the arrival time would be between 4-8pm. On July 3, I received a text at 6:08 pm stating "you're next! Your delivery will arrive shortly ...". I waited until 7:25 and hadn't heard anything. I went back to the text and clicked the link to "Track (my) delivery". The status showed that at 5:52pm, the delivery "failed", and the "Driver could not deliver due to: No time to deliver." What in the actual F. I've been waiting 2 weeks for this delivery, and it doesn't show within the 4 hour window, with them stating halfway through that the delivery "failed" due to "not enough time to deliver"...???!!!?? They still had TWO HOURS TO DELIVER IT!! No text, call, or email with the update that they "failed to deliver". I had to investigate it myself. I went to the IKEA website and connected to a "coworker" via the online chat. They had zero clue when the order would be delivered. They said the items were returned to the warehouse. They said they could "try" to reschedule for July 4, but there was zero guarantee it would actually be delivered. The chat went so long that the coworker's shift ended. A manager took over from there. I still had no guarantee of "när i helvete" () my order would be delivered. I explained that I was supposed to spend the long weekend assembling my furniture that was supposed to have arrived already. I moved into my home 3 weeks ago, was waiting over 2 weeks for this furniture, and I was still surrounded by boxes to unpack since I had no where to store the remaining items. I needed the pantry I ordered, the dresser, and the bed frame with storage drawers, to put away the rest of my items so I could live like a normal human again. I still didn't have a couch to sit on, or a kitchen table to eat off of. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks, and zero clue of when my $3,000 worth of furniture will arrive. The manager said she could "try" for a delivery the next day. But zero guarantees on that. She said she could reschedule for July 10 (over a week from then), and it would be "guaranteed" to deliver that day. That's flippin hilarious. I chose a delivery date over TWO WEEKS AGO that should have been GUARANTEED, yet here we are. The manager said she "tried" to reschedule the delivery for July 4, but absolutely zero guarantee it will even arrive. She said I just need to wait and see if it appears. If it doesn't, reach back out to them to try to schedule the delivery again. Lmfao. So pathetic. As I write this, it's July 4 at 11 am and I have heard not one single peep from IKEA about my order delivery. NOTHING confirming that the delivery is supposed to happen today. NOTHING by email, text, or phone. I'm frickin livid about this. I love IKEA (I'm Swedish), and have defended IKEA any time someone has made fun of them for having sub-par items (that supposedly fall apart and are cheaply made), and have crappy assembly (poor instructions and takes forever to assemble an item). This also means the assembly gets pushed back to Tuesday. Fantastic. I work on Tuesday. Am I supposed to take a vacation day for this? She said she could reschedule the assembly to next weekend. Lower level you can get your house wears, organization, lighting, and flat packs. It's neat they put the grocery section before the registers so you don't have to pay separately. I needed a new pillow and so was my mother so I picked her up and we went to Ikea. It was a good handful of years since I've visited ikea for a reason. Before getting there, I asked Mami if she wanted to do the whole walk through the store or do a quick one. She decided to do the walk and was exhausted and sweating by the end because the AC seemed to set on low. I was not loving that for my Mami. She got her pillow, which was $20, plus a mat ($3) and some cinnamon buns ($8) to share with my father. Update: the two pillows were returned because the one I got was simply too hard for me to sleep in comfortably and the one I got for Mami was not enjoyable for her either. The return is easy, you sign up at kiosk, they call you and get the return going at the counter. Easy to do but it's all the way at the end of the building near the exit. read more

I love going to Ikea. It's conveniently located near a big mall and there are plenty of restaurants too. The store is very inviting and they keep updating all the showrooms every few months. We came for the 40th anniversary celebration. The employees were friendly and demonstrated some origami, kitchen organization ideas, and there was a silent disco party too. A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. Absolute Nightmare: My $12,000 IKEA Kitchen Warranty is a Joke! I am beyond furious with IKEA at The Mall at Millenia. I bought a $12,000 kitchen from them, explicitly promised a 20-year warranty on everything. Fast forward a few years, and parts of my kitchen are peeling. Naturally, I tried to honor the warranty, but guess what? They wouldn't because I didn't have the receipt. I told them it was a $12,000 purchase and asked them to look up my record. After nearly 20 minutes, they finally found it and the receipt. The kitchen manager then told me not to open a warranty case (which was incredibly suspicious!) and instead, just go downstairs to returns and exchanges to get the peeling piece replaced. So I did, and waited another 30 minutes for the only person working there. This individual then told me there was a "mistake" on the receipt, and the piece that was clearly peeling off in my pictures and was part of my entire order wasn't listed on it! I explained that an IKEA design specialist did the order, not me, and they were responsible for what was entered. But for almost another hour, it was the same nonsense: "I see it in the picture, I see it's peeling, but on the receipt it's not called 'decorative toe kick' it's 'plastic toe kick.'" They offered no solution, no help, just repeated the same idiotic line. I was essentially forced to buy two replacement pieces under duress because I couldn't stand looking at my horrendous peeling island kitchen. Do NOT trust the warranty claims at IKEA, especially at this Mall at Millenia location in Orlando. They are clueless, and the few people working there act like zombies. They see the evidence, they see the order, but they'll repeat the same nonsensical answer until you give up and just buy the piece yourself. Our experience has been all employees in cabinet are worse than incompetent. They don't know their business at all, don't know simple terms or parts, most don't speak english and you have to show them physically on a display what you want. Plus they really do not seem to care about customers. This goes for employees and dept managers. We are over a 1 hour drive to IKEA Orlando and in the past month have made 3 trips, each time we ordered approximately $1,000+ worth of cabinets. Each and every time our ordered was screweed up. Most recently, we purchased a large number of cabinet doors and drawer fronts and about 60 hinges - that alone was a challenge trying to get someone that knew anything about the products or someone that spoke English. Once the order was completed, the fulfillment group threw all of the hinges in a huge heap in the cart. We counted boxes as the last time, we were shorted product we ordered and paid for. After getting home to use the products, we fiend out that several of the cabinet draw fronts are the wrong size. The drawers are the right size but the employee checked the incorrect size of draw fronts. We have dealt with IKEA in Jacksonville and never had the problems we have in Orlando. Our experience has really turned us off from IKEA. They used to be good, but I guess they have so many customers now, they don't really give a crap. read more

So it is odd to not be able to find the same items in the same bin despite the store. I learned that all IKEAs are laid out differently and not all allow you to self pick. I normally shop at Jax but was in Orlando do. I went to try and find my items via the app but no bun was listed. I tried the computers for self help for products. No bun listed. As a result I went to the pick up counter near by and asked them what to do. I gave them a list of my items and then they created a order. I walked to SERVICES AND SPARE PARTS. But I forgot to stop and pay for it at the cashier. Well, I didn't really forget I didn't get that I had to pay for it first I thought I could pay for it at the service and parts area. After all these years and we still shop here probably at least a couple times a year if not more. Every time you want to change your decoration or add a little something, IKEA usually has several things that will fill that spot. I've dealt with them for pickup and delivery with good success. Any issue we've ever had with an item has always been taken care of. The employees are friendly and even though it's a big store it's not really that hard to get around in. They have a cafeteria on the second floor that has some really fabulous foods. They also have the takeout food area by the exit which has simpler fare like hot dogs and cinnamon rolls. Check out is usually a fairly easy and quick process. Returns can be slow at times but it always gets handled. A good place to shop for the family and especially for things like college dorms. read more

I've been to IKEA a lot over the years and I think their quality has gone downhill. We came to get two bookshelves. We wandered around the entire store and ate in the cafeteria. Stuff was disorganized and rummaged through. The cafeteria was out of several items. We took our bookshelves home and assembled one. It collapsed due to a pre-assembled part that was supposedly a glued dowel that wasn't actually glued. It was not a part we assembled. The return process was hell. The girl at the return desk was rude. She didn't even listen to what happened, she just told us they weren't responsible for customer assembly. We explained the broken piece was pre assembled and not one of the parts we put together. She called a manager and wouldn't respond to anything else we said except to tell us to wait. The manager showed up and like the other employee, told us they weren't responsible for user error when again, it was a pre made part that was bad. Next, they called the quality control guy. He started addressing us by saying "now I don't want you to get defensive..." when we had only been polite despite our bad experience. He eventually acknowledged that the part was supposed to be glued, but wasn't. He acknowledged it was a quality issue. It was just a shame we had to jump through so many hoops and advocate for ourselves just to return crappy furniture. I get it. I'm sure people break stuff and try to return it. But they really didn't need to be so abrasive. We ended up getting a refund and bought a nicer bookshelf at a lower price at another store. Easily found the items I came for. The only thing I didn't like was that. When we decided to stop in their dine in section, we had to go through the whole back half of the store to get back out again, which I get is a strategy to get you to walk through and see stuff you will potentially buy on your way out but we had already been through the whole store once when we decided to try the food as all the other times we have been to an IKEA, they either ran out of meatballs or we had meal plans elsewhere so we weren't able to try them. It was a bit of an annoyance to need to walk through a big portion of the store to exit again. There was a door next to the kids center that could have led us straight to the exit, but the woman told us we couldn't use it and must go through the store again to get out. $23.99 for a family platter of meatballs, mash potatoes, and green peas with gravy and lingonberry jam is a pretty good deal. Kids didn't care for the jam. I thought it was ok. The meatballs.. yum! With that gravy.. yesss. I loved the peas. Mash was meh.. slightly improved with gravy worh it. Will be having this again the next IKEA I go to. We will need to time it for like an early afternoon snack time so we don't ruin our appetites for dinner. This was our first time visiting an IKEA, and wow, we were amazed.! It is an understatement to say that this place is HUGE! If you see an item you like, you better pick it up the first time around otherwise you will have to walk what seems like forever to find it again. The upper floor houses a variety of room floor plans for customers to explore, such as bedrooms, living rooms, home office, kid's rooms, dining, home office, kitchen, appliance, and outdoor layouts. All Items have a QR code attached to them, so if you want to buy something, be sure to take a picture of the QR code which helps you or the staff track down and purchase the item in the warehouse (first floor). IKEA does a great job building the rooms out in a way that sparks ideas in how the furniture can be best utilized in a space. Regardless, there is still so much to see here, that picking something out the first time around can be daunting. We were not planning on purchasing anything big so we spent the majority of our time here on the first floor searching for cooking utensils and Pyrex storage containers along with a few other odds and ends. The best purchase I made was for two pairing knives we use every day. One of the other areas of interest for me was the lighting. IKEA has a decent selection of decorative lighting, lamps, fixtures, and variety of unique bulbs to choose from. I heard great things about the food here from other Yelpers; however, our experience was lacking. The coffee ($1.00) was hot, then cold, then hot again. I don't know if the staff were playing musical carafes or what, the temperature sure had a mind of its own. We split the chicken tenders, steamed vegetables, and French Fries entrée ($6.99). The tenders were good but nothing spectacular, the vegetables were frozen and the fries, mediocre at best. Most Yelpers say the meatballs are good; however, today, they had a sad dried-up look going on. Unfortunately, the chicken tender meal ruined my appetite the rest of the day. Not sure if it was the tenders or the fries, regardless it made for an interesting evening. All-in-all, I will return to IKEA again in the future. From someone that does not like shopping, the store is horrible. I had a $10 off coupon that I received for my birthday so I came to get a few small kitchen items. I was not familiar with the store so I went upstairs to the main area. i'm sure most people know this but it's like a huge maze, but you have to follow the line throughout the entire store in order to get out. I tried to loop around another open door, but ended up going in a circle. I asked a worker the fastest way to get out and they told me to just keep following the line. I eventually found a way to get downstairs where there were some inexpensive kitchen items. I grabbed a few things and headed to the checkout area. At that point, I realized if I had turned left on the ground floor, I would have gone right into this area instead of walking through the entire other part of the store. if I ever shop here again, that's what I'll do. Going through the entire upstairs made me so anxious. It would be good for people trying to create a registry or someone that moved to a new place. Most of their furniture and decor is modern and not my style but they do have really good deals on kitchen stuff. They even sell kitchen, cabinetry and countertops. It's a one way "maze" that you walk through to get to the other side. Halfway through before you go downstairs be sure to stop at the cafe for food! All of their food is really good, but I recently tried the veggie meatballs which were outstanding, and they're famous for Swedish meatballs. As I walked through the first air lock I was inundated with kitchen gadgetry- they have it all and it's obvious the Swedish engineers have been hard at it in their over-seas laboratories creating items that can fill a few containers ships a month, baiting us with plastics, rubber and metals and of course wood. I stopped short to ponder if the Swedish people have IKEAs to shop in or do they just buy from Walmart and Costco. The layout is genius, they have created a capture audience event, please do not walk against the directional paths you must window shop I swear I saw people who haven't been able to find an exit for days and as I feared the restrooms are after the registers or maybe before the escalator upon entry I'm recommending you not enter the venue until you've figured this out. I am sure the shopping cart tunnels are off limits to people but amazingly efficient and I think you have to purchase the bag you grabbed upon entry to carry the few nic-nacs you came here to buy. Although I didn't interact with a single IKEA employee they too seemed friendly in a robotic kinda way as they moved the inventory around, I felt like I was in an early Dire Straits MTV video "that ain't working that's the way you do it" anyway everything here is designed around efficiency I guess unless you're returning something according to some. Well after an hour or so I found the way to floor two, it's actually laid out to be viewed floor two first trust me on this - once on top you can take the elevator or stairs to floor one and you'll repeat the walk if you started on floor one now I know why I passed the same people a number of times and I thought they were the ones lost. I spent $12.80 here not a bad entertainment value, I didn't need a cart or a shopping bag I got four pot holders, two dish towels and a sanitary cutting board and lots of exercise and I also achieved my objective I got lots of idea so now I can go home and order what I need online... read more

The wonderful world of IKEA. You never know what you will get if it's in stock. Went in to get some items and as always out of stock in store. The whole trip was saved due to going to the restaurant on the second floor. If you go check online they have your items and stop at the restaurant for an amazing meal. read more

What can I say about IKEA? If you need DALFRED, TILLREDA, and BEKANT, you just can't stroll down to the local Walmart for those. These are just a few of the items you can find while strolling around the half maze, half museum, half store (that's 3 halves) picking out things you like in the upstairs section. Most of what you get is build-it-yourself furniture with sometimes annoying instructions, but overall, decent quality for the money. Then venture downstairs to the additional maze of items you can fill your cart with. Think inexpensive kitchen items, lamps, pillows, and other things for your home. They really do have some good deals on glassware, cutlery, sheets. They also have some expensive stuff too. As far as Safety, IKEA actually disabled their hand dryers in the restrooms and makes you use paper towels. Thanks IKEA for taking the first step in getting rid of these things. I hope it's forever as they are loud, take forever, and are LESS sanitary because peoples' hands aren't dry and they're touching the handles to open the doors. And they have a Restaurant upstairs with some pretty decent options. Not only they, they have a food counter near the checkout area where you can get other snacks. And you'll need them because it's so easy to get lost in there. Well, not lost but if you follow their path, you can be in there a while! Second time to this location but I've been to the one in New Jersey it was definitely busy on a Saturday afternoon. We went only to buy a few home items so we didn't go to the whole store. However IKEA doesn't disappoint with their quantity of products. read more

Over an hour drive. Way less crowded than the one in Avon Mass. So, Ikea has to be evaluated for what it is. Is it a place for quality heirloom furniture ? No. Is is a place for excellent optics with women in yoga pants ? Yes. So 90 percent of the furniture here is made of Fall A Particle Board, and is junk. We bought two dressers, both made of solid wood. Pine is soft but if one is conscious of it one will be ok. The lawyer driven sign out on tall dressers is not going well. I hate lawyers. They are responsible for all the old amusement parks closing, and me being in line 20 minutes to sign that my 30 year old child will not topple a dresser upon himself. IKEA is a great place to shop for your home and their prices are not pricey and its of good quality. The showrooms are really cute and gives you ideas for your own home. only thing is I bought a bed from there for my daughter and draws were separate the lady gave me the front of the draws but not the actual draw and i wasn't able to go back i was a sick pregnant women but other than that my experiences with IKEA at orlando has been great. i used to shop at the IKEA in NJ when i lived in NY. I think the majority of customers are in the same situation as me . . . you see almost non-stop items that you definitely don't 'Need' but that you totally 'Want'. This IKEA is amazing! It is probably one of the cleanest I have ever been to. I wonder if it has to do with the fact this is one of the least busy locations I have ever visited. Don't get me wrong. Traffic around it can be an absolute nightmare. My best advice would be to visit mid week and avoid the typical 9-5 traffic. The restaurant always has fresh food and the service is great. Their selection of items always appears well stocked and well organized. We love getting lost in their showrooms and maze of walkways. Pro tip - use their map to take shortcuts to save time. Do you really need to browse every single space? Maybe. But it will take you hours to complete the entire location at a regular walking pace. read more
