Buyers Beware - Horrible Experience at Floor & Decor (Winter Park, FL) I recently bought two bathroom vanities from the Floor & Decor store in Winter Park, Florida, and it turned into a complete nightmare. After purchasing and picking them up, the store employees loaded both boxes next to each other in my pickup truck. However, they didn't strap them down or warn me that the heaviest part of each vanity was on the top, which makes them very unstable and likely to tip over when turning or driving away. Sure enough, after leaving the store and making my first turn, one of the vanities fell off the truck into the middle of the road. The employees came over, picked it up, and brought it back inside. The vanity top was cracked and damaged. To make matters worse, one of the employees said, "This happens all the time." If that's true, why aren't customers warned before leaving the store? When I asked for a refund or replacement, the manager refused. I was first told no refund, then offered $50, and finally a 50% discount on a new vanity--but only if I surrendered the broken one so the store could "claim the loss." That means they could file a claim and still charge me half price for another one. Completely unfair and unacceptable. This whole experience shows a serious lack of care and responsibility for customer safety and satisfaction. I'll never shop at Floor & Decor again, and I strongly warn other buyers to be careful when picking up large or heavy items from this store. read more

very poor service. no one on floor to help. I picked out till and have a professional installer. each piece has a left in the belly of the tile. spoke with Carl a manager and was told that is how the ceramic tile is and can't be laid randomly that a professional installer would know. um no you should of had sales people to help me when I came into the store. but no if you don't use their services then they don't want to help you. I even had to pick up 22 boxes of almost 60lb myself. will never step a foot back in that store or recommend them to anyone at all. read more

An excellent new location for this chain as they have moved across the street to the Fashion Square area instead of the Colonialtown Plaza. This location is large and has a ton to offer. If you are redoing any room in your house, this is a must see! We aren't redoing anything at the moment, but have considered updating the carpets in our house to tile or wood flooring. I've never been a big carpeting fan, so I'm always on the lookout for an upgrade on this. It has a very warehouse feel to it overall. They have clearly marked aisles and pricing signage. You'll also want to note that there are a few clearance sections throughout the store on 'while they last' items. Overall: A Great new location for this chain and a must see for all persons that want to redo a room or get ideas! read more

They have a nice selection of items but the staff is less then helpful. We needed two base boards to finish our project. The first time we got one they cut it in half so it would fit in the truck. The second we got 2 more and spoke with Kelly. She was much more interested in talking with her coworker and said no we don't do that. What a lazy useless employee. I'm confused that there is nothing in the building to cut it in half. I ended up breaking it with my feet while in flip flops and still under the influence of medication from my root canal 30 minutes earlier. DO NOT BUY AQUAGAURD PERFORMANCE. DONOT EVER SHOP AT FLOOR AND DECOR. Worst Experience I have ever had. The floor started chipping on the first day all over the ENTER HOUSE. The floor comes with a lifetime residential and 20 year commercial warranty. The floor is falling apart and we contacted them Immediately we were so kind and jumped through all of the hoops with paper work and pictures and receipts and waited patiently for MONTHS to hear back and they are not doing ANYTHING about it. They are blaming installation. We hired PROFESSIONALS to install the floor even though it is advertised as do it your self installation. They are blaming the installers even though I have 100% proof that it is not the installers because I have TWO unopened boxes which also already have ruff edges where it can peel and chip. This flooring is top of the line and extremely expensive this is our first home we spent a TON of money on this floor and installation. The Warranty is a SCAM they will do absolutely nothing and do NOT even care. They said our only option to fight the denial of our warranty claim was to pay hundreds of dollars for them to have an inspector come look at it in person and potentially still decline our warranty claim. They have ruined my new home and I'm out Thousands of dollars. read more

The previous visit was to look at the luxury vinyl flooring options and the man that helped me was very knowledgeable. Today, Scott was the person who helped me and he was also very knowledgeable. I had two major home issues. First was mold consumed my home, and I had to replace ceilings, walls, floors, and all of my personal belongings. Bought a pallet worth of floors and all bathroom material from floor and decor. Now we got him from hurricane.. my items were pat 90 days, but this company has zero empathy or concern. There's no taking care of clients, just $$. They wouldn't even do a store credit or cared about anything I said, just "no". They say it's discontinued, but they still have it on their site. Absolutely absurd!!!! Once I get all my money back I will never ever go through this company again! Is there enough space in the box to explain all the issues? Long but worth the read I promise. First we placed an order for more of the flooring we had previously installed months prior because we decided to do one more room in it and the Sanford store pulled our product and took our payment online but turned around and sold our product weeks later as we were unable to get there as fast as they wanted us too. So now we missed out on having the rest of our flooring to match come to find out there is only one way to get a refund that's to go to the store then with some frustration she found out she can send a corporate check in 10 days. Still have not received said check. So in desperation I still needed and wanted the rest of this flooring so it can match. We found out we could order it from Georgia but we would have to pay for shipping. The 5 boxes we needed of product showed up today. Now to that issue freight company never set up for delivery date and time so we can be sure product was somewhere protected as we live in Florida and it's the rainy season. They showed up! Dropped the pallet in my driveway and you guessed it rain multiple times today! Now pallet of flooring is soaked. Upon removing what little wrapping there was several boxes were soaked inside!!! And came across another one was already opened missing 2 planks and lastly a box was torn and the bottom of a plank was damaged in two places this was an entirely different box and more soaked than the last! Called the Georgia store to get a managers assistance to no avail after a 30 minute hold time. Upon requesting a manager a man who didn't seem enthused to speak to anyone on the other line "transferred" me to a manager so I spoke with said manager and she was not a manger she was just a sales associate and said that the call transferred to her was from a manager! She attempted to get a manger on the line to see how they will rectify this issue. No avail again she took my name and number and order info and told me somebody should be able to call me back in an hour! Still no call back. We paid $220.33 in SHIPPING (almost the exact amount of the product itself!) to get the product here in good new condition and they should've had a scheduled date and time for delivery to be sure that was the case! we are very disappointed with our Orlando Floor & Decor. I used their design services to help make proper selections for our flooring. we have an open floor plan so it cover the majority of the living space plus the master bedroom. we selected bamboo. we knew the susceptibility to moisture. Floor and Decor recommended the cork underlayment and we were even told if we didn't use it, it would void the warranty. Within a week of the installation, we have experienced severe cupping, bowing, and popping up of floor boards and literally have trip hazards around the house. We are now awaiting the 3rd party flooring inspection to have warranty support and floor remediation - going on a month now. Everyday a new board pops- underneath is moist- obviously the recommended under layment isn't working as a moisture barrier read more

Service is pretty bad, the 2 girls at the register were both rude and kept rolling their eyes at us just for asking regular questions about some tile. when it came to loading the tile in to my truck 3 associates were just standing there not doing anything and didn't even offer to help. overall it was a bad experience, they should train their personnel on how to be more helpful to customers. read more

I'm a fan of Floor & Decor! We recently went to look at kitchen back splashes as we are in the midst of remodeling our kitchen. There was a good selection to choose from and we ultimately found the backsplash of my dreams :) We went on a Saturday and there was a steady flow of customers roaming around. The prices were very reasonable compared to Home Depot. Unfortunately, I can't speak for the customer service as we were not asked one time if we needed help. Went to the store on Colonial Dr and they did not have all the flooring I needed. They sent me to the Fern Park Store and Luis Perez was able to assist me with everything I needed. He was fantastic!! They also didn't have all the flooring I needed BUT, he was able to pull from the Colonial store and make it one purchase and one delivery. Even when I asked him to quote me all the numbers on the flooring I thought I needed, and then changed my mind about a different floor, his attitude and patience never wavered. He said he would be back with a new quote and continued smiling. His customer service is invaluable to Floor and Decor. You need more people like Luis. Heck, the world needs more people like Luis! This is why nobody likes to visit this location - especially contractors. How is it possible that all the contractors in the area say the same thing about this location? It's always the same thing, we always have to drive 1 extra hour each way to avoid visiting this location at any cost. It's either the sale associates being high, or in this specific case, the store manager saying she has no idea what I'm saying and cannot understand what I was saying. So I will try to explain it in writing here to see if this way someone in corporate will start doing something about this location and they get to the same quality of customer service as the stores in Sanford, Tampa, and Naples. I came to return almost $1,000 in moldings, and the lady at the returns desk said that they were scratched and needed to call a manager. So this lady came who said she was the store manager, saying her name was Mimi (which I think is super unprofessional to call yourself by your nickname in a professional setting). She said she would not accept the Schluter trim moldings because they were scratched. So I asked them to put the clear wrap and they put it on the Schluter. In the end I asked her can you tell me what you see in here, and her response was no I have no idea what you're saying. She put it on in a way that the corner was exposed (I've included images). Your store manager is being negligent and she's saying that there's no way that they sold me the Schluter trim scratched like that and she literally put the clear tape wrap the same way that it was on there before. After I asked her that if she can tell which part was exposed, she said that she has no idea what I'm saying. Now I have to literally drive 1 hour to the next store because I was trying to give another try to this location. Now I understand why customer service here is so bad. If the manager of the store can't even have her real name, and wrap their merchandise in the right way that I'm purchasing, there's nothing left that I can expect from the rest of the associates at this store. My advice to anyone reading this is to literally shop at any other location. Do not make the same mistake as I did by shopping here. It's worth traveling to ANY other location to avoid this location at all costs, even if this is the closest location to you. read more

Great selection, very helpful staff. My wife and I came in for marble window sills and found one that would work for our three bathroom windows. We have needed to replace them because one was broken during our renovations in 2010... YES! It's taken 10 year for me to get to this project. But, as they say, "when a man says he's going to do something, he's going to do it. No sense bothering him every 3 or 5 years to see how it's going!" Never again. They encourage you to buy extra flooring and supplies with the promise that you can return anything that's not used. My DIY flooring installation took longer than expected (thanks Covid and the flu), and now I've got $300 worth of extra flooring and materials that I don't need, all unopened in the original packaging, with receipt. They did not mention or stress the 90-day limit for returns when they encouraged me to buy the extra materials, but now it's a firm 90 days. When I spoke with the manager, he suggested that I might use Craig's List to sell this stuff. Take a picture of me, because I will not be returning to Floor & Decor. I'm renovating a condo - I replaced all the flooring with new flooring from Floor & Decor. Now I'm in the market for kitchen backsplash, and I've got two bathrooms to remodel. I will not be shopping at Floor & Decor for these jobs... Home Depot is absolutely GREAT about returns. read more

I would like to give a huge shout out to Ryan at the East Colonial store. The store is in the midfield of renovating and items are not in their usual place but he took the time to help me find everything I needed for my bathroom renovation. He even pushed the cart because the materials (tile, grout, etc.) were very, very heavy. He is awesome! I like that they have lots of help on the floor. With that being said, the downside is that for a Saturday, they had one cashier and there was confusion as to where the line started and ended. There was a gentleman wearing a shirt that said "Floor and Decor Cares" which did not go over well. It was not until several customers started to get irate did they open additional registers and everything flowed smooth from there. read more

Purchased 1500 square foot of engineered bamboo floors. After three years dents and dings every where. Color fading. After months of complaining to corporate we got ignored. Then finally we got a hold of someone who told us they would send an Inspector as there is a life time warranty. Not just any inspector - An inspector that works for floor and decor. Who is trained to write up erroneous reports favoring the store. Not an independent inspector that has no bias. We were told the floors were installed nicely. Then we get the report and they said wear and tear, along with too much moisture. Real crock of you know what. Their scape goat for every warranty claim. We will hire our own inspector, if he finds their report to be false we will be hiring an attorney. read more

Store hours say they close at 7pm, don't believe it for a second, drove 40 minutes after work to get here to pick up my preorder just so they could tell me there "closed" based on the lazy managers self made hours. I'll be sure to never come back here, and tell everybody I know what a POS their customer service is, if I didn't need the stuff immediately id cancel my order entirely. Lazy manager wouldn't even get up out of her seat to explain things to me at the door and shouted things from her stool and laughed at me. I'm not sure who she was but she should be fired. read more

We went to this location to look at some backsplash tile and all options. We had previously been to Lowe's and Home Depot, however there are very limited options there. I would recommend floor and Decor as the first and only place to go to look at the many options they have both in flooring as well as backsplash bath area redos. I initially was resistant in going to Floors and Decor as I wrongfully thought it was the more expensive option. It is quite the opposite. We went to look at all the options and brought home six backsplash options to consider for our kitchen and bath refurbishment. This store has a nice return policy as it is 90 days as long as you don't alter or damage the product. A very good experience and certainly a great store to get inspired. read more
