I'm writing a 5-star review for a company I didn't actually do business with…read more A few weeks ago, I had what seemed like an emergency service need for my refrigerator. And, of course, it occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Knowing that the company handling my warranty would not be available for at least a few days, I searched out to companies that were available 24/7. Orlando Appliance Repair was one of those companies. Upon calling, the customer service rep put me in touch with their field-rep, Igor. I described the problem and he planned to show withing two hours or less ... on a Sunday afternoon! My refrigerator came back online and I contacted Igor to make him aware and cancel my appointment. He understood and just simply cancelled my appointment without fuss or cost. If a company can be this prompt and respective to new clients calling on a Sunday afternoon that they would end up not be getting business from that day, I can only believe that their actual work would be first-rate and I would not hesitate to connect with Orlando Appliance Repair for any related needs in the future.

I found this business on Yelp sorting by rating. I called,…read morethey called back right away. Appointment was a scheduled, I received confirmation. Igor, the tech, was on time. He explained the problem and ordered a part. He scheduled an appointment to return the next day to complete the service call. The next day, he showed up on time and completed the repair. It's been a few days and the problem is fixed. I am not sure if the fee was reasonable. It's the first time I've had to repair an appliance in over 10 yrs. I am very satisfied with the results and the ease of the process.

After reviewing Yelp and the internet, my husband reached to Mr. Appliance for assistance with our…read moredishwasher that was leaking. Mr. Appliance sent a technician out within a couple days who had no issue identifying which model we had or the issue with our dishwasher. A diagnostic fee was charged and a part was ordered. A technician came back in a few days to install the part and we were charged for the part and installation of the part. The next day they received a call that our dishwasher was still leaking. A new technician came out. For some reason the initial ticket had been closed so they didn't have the information from the previous visits. We were told that a different part needed to be ordered. A few days later the same technician came back and stated that the wrong part was ordered. We were then told that we would need to provide confirmation of the model number prior to them returning. I was very confused bc the first technician had no issue with finding the model number. However, after 4 of 5 different visits, the majority of the model number had been rubbed off. Overall, after 3 weeks my dishwasher was not fixed. After multiple calls and follow-ups to Mr. Appliance (we were told we would get a call back, never did), we were finally refunded a portion of our money. This is why they receive 3 stars and not less.

Recently our dryer stopped heating out of nowhere. Our warranty unfortunately had not been renewed,…read morewe completely overlooked that so we were unable to use Whirlpool to fix it. We have only ever used them so we had no idea where to look. My wife enlisted Yelp to help us. She put in some request for quotes and received a few back pretty quickly. We had never used that but it was very helpful. Quality Masters was the first to respond and then also took time to message back and forth with her. The other companies were not as friendly and responsive. We also read their Yelp reviews, which we all good, so we figured we would use them. We were able to make the appointment for the next day and were able to do it all through text. It was very simple for us! There was a moment of uncertainty but they were extremely professional and friendly. I was going to be home while my wife was at work, so on the day of our appointment, they were running early. They called asking if early would be ok, so our appointment was moved up. I cannot remember his name, but the technician that came was very knowledgeable and professional. He pinpointed the issue immediately. He discovered our dryer was clogged with lint and the coils were bad. It makes sense since we had never had our vents cleaned. He was able to replace the coils, as well as sucking out as much lint as he could with his tools. Unfortunately, they do not clean vents like that but again, he could help us out with some of it. He also made suggestions as to what else needed to be done, really with just getting the vents cleaned. They also take your payment online either with credit card, for a small fee, or Zelle or Venmo. The invoice will be emailed to you and allow you to pay that way. Personally, we do not prefer to pay for services with Zelle so we used a credit card. It was very simple. I thought overall the price they charged for the coils and cleaning, was very reasonable. It did not cost us much at all. I would definitely use them again, should we need something fixed.

I'm sure these folks do good work, however, I didn't get the chance to find that out. I called…read morethem on a Wednesday and made and appointment for Friday, (it was the earliest they could get there.). I had called since my washing machine was not working and I was unable to do laundry. When making this appointment, I also asked if whoever came out could fix the paddle on my refrigerator. I was told "yes" and they even followed up the next day regarding the color of the paddle as it didn't match my stainless steel fridge. Okay ... no big whoop ... the paddle didn't matter but the washing machine did. Here it is Friday, I've been waiting two days for the appointment and unable to do laundry for three days. I received a call this morning saying they couldn't help me. No one was coming and they canceled my appointment because a refrigerator paddle wasn't a big enough emergency to make the trip. However, the whole reason for the appointment was for the washing machine with the fridge being an "if you can .. while you are here" request. Also, the fella on the phone told me they didn't service my area. (I'm over by SeaWorld in Orlando.) Well, I'm frustrated. Either way, when I made the appointment, I was not told the "don't service my area." I've lost two days waiting for an appointment and an now scrambling to find someone who can help me as Orlando is about to shut down due to craziness of the Coronavirus. When I made the appointment, I also told them that my washing machine was in the garage in case there was concern with the current virus. No one had to come inside the house (again, the fridge was a side item that they said "yes" to.) I'm giving them two stars because they were very nice on the phone when making the appointment and when calling me the next day to ask if I minded a different color refrigerator paddle. The fella who canceled on my this morning was also nice on the phone. However, what is not nice is canceling the appointment the "day of" and never informing me that they don't service this area but let me wait two days to find this out. So, if you are in my neck of the woods ... maybe call someone else who does service this area.

MD Appliance removed our old microwave, and then dropped it on our composite wood floor, leaving the floor scratched. The "old' microwave came with the house, so it was only one year old. We planned on reusing it in another house, but MD Appliance broke it when they dropped it, making a $700, year-old microwave oven a total loss. MD Appliance cracked the subway tile backsplash when they installed the new microwave. To repair,we would need to remove the microwave and hire a tile expert, probably at substantial cost, to repair. We needed to hire an electrician to install the range properly. MD Appliance said our plug was "on the wrong side." The same plug seemed to work fine with our old range. MD Appliance did not so much as acknowledge any of the issues they caused, much less offer to resolve them. We called to advise Southeast Steel about the install nightmare with MD Appliance. Southeast Steel could not have cared less that the people they are sending to install are so careless and destructive. This reflects poorly on Southeast Steel. I guess the MD in MD Appliance stands for Mass Destruction. Stay far away from them!
