Always high quality items at Williams Sonoma. I went around the holidays and it was packed. The employees did their best in corralling customers into the proper checkout line areas. There were activations such as fresh baked cookies, free coffee, peppermint bark samples, and more. With so much going on, it was a bit confusing, especially when I had to ask an employee about spatulas but they redirected to someone else and then a different employee helped me. This kitchen store used to be my favorite place to buy cooking brands. Their selection was fabulous, you could find everything under the sun relating to your epicurean and culinary equipment needs. While you still can find products, something isn't quite the same there anymore. Their customer service at their Winter Park store was, let's just say, not there. I bought a mandolin slicer from De Buyer- France for almost 200.00. I took it home and opened the box to find a white paper bag, the kind of old fashioned paper lunch bag, the mandolin, and no blades for it. It looked as if someone had returned the item but not before taking out parts and stuffing it with a paper bag. On the phone, Wendy said it was STRANGE because they rarely take returns. All I have to say is if that's the case, if it's so strange, you have an internal problem in your store. I bought the mandoline at 4pm fought traffic, returned it with Daniel, who wasn't even curious to see what I bought from them let alone acknowledging of my time and inconvenience to drive back this item to them. I just got back home and it's 7pm. I used my cc and a gift card which I intend to regift as I'm not feeling eager to further waste my time or buy from a store where the employees feel it's appropriate to say it's strange rather than be apologetic that I have to spend 3 hours of my time to resolve a problem they created. read more

I love WS and have been a customer since having my first apartment (20+ years ago). I've been to several stores in different locations. This was my first visit to this location and I was disgusted by the abhorrent customer service. I was looking for specific two items. I initially searched for them myself but after not finding them, I decided to seek help. I found and asked the first staff - I was dismissed and no additional help was offered. They were walking away while giving a one sentence answer. I looked a little more and realized they likely didn't have it in stock. The need wasn't immediate or specific to WS, so I moved onto hunting the second item. I again was not successful and asked an staff at the register. This time, they acted as if I had several heads - not an exaggeration, they were visibly annoyed when I asked if they had a specific product. Rather than showing me or looking it up, they generally waved their hand and said check the front tables. I would have addressed this behavior with the manager but unfortunately, the manager was one of the staff I encountered. read more

A baker/cooks candy store. They have so many wonderful professional quality cookwear and small appliances, utensils and so much more. They have a wonderful assortment of gourmet foods. I especially love their pancake and waffle mixes, spices and flavorings. They have a small section of home goods like dishes and glassware, and bathroom accessories. I have a lot of backing pans, appliances and utensils from here and everything has held up to the use and abuse I put it through. Today was one of my favorite times to shop here, even if its just window shopping, to see their holiday displays and seasonal speciality items.Their peppermint bark is a classic, and very addictive. Its no wonder why it is a favorite. My little find today was piggie bacon press. I'm telling you, I could open up my own restaurant with all the tools I've bought over the years from here. Williams Sonoma is an upscale kitchen supply store located on a trendy street in fashionable Winter Park. I find a lot of times it seems you are paying more for the name Williams Sonoma than the actual quality of the tool, but they also have quality items upon the shelves. The staff is friendly and were able to answer my questions. I would recommend here, if at the very least, it provides a nice diversion to wander amongst the aisles and see all the wares. On this trip I bought a spatula for way too much, but it was a gift and not only had Williams Sonoma on the handle, but also was embossed with the "Star Wars" logo on it (a friend who has a particular fondness for that movie franchise). read more

This store is located at 150 Park Avenue in Winter Park. I love this store, it has everything I love for my kitchen and gift giving. It offers extensive selection of cookware, appliances ,tabletop accessories ,bakeware, kitchen tools and specialty foods. They have the brands I like like vitamix, breville, instant pot and Philips . My next purchase will be the breville juicer. So come on in and check out the wonderful items in this store. Parking is good and they have curbside pickup. read more

Located on the main strip through historic downtown Winter Park, this shop is pretty standard for the chain. You'll find all the usual offerings from kitchen gear to accessories. I especially love all the fun seasonal items and Star Wars themed items they offer - check out the Vader and Storm trooper aprons towards the back. They offer some small classes and tastings from time to time so be sure to ask what's coming up on the calendar if you wanna learn more. Three staff is nice and the store is clean. There really isn't anything here to being this location up from a ok status as it doesn't really offer anything unique or new for the chain. You'll find exactly what your use to finding for this brand. Overall: B Standard for this line with nice staff and regular classes /tastings. Take a leisure walk down Park Ave and pop in. read more

I've been to this store a few times and have always been treated with a friendly smile. Today I came to check out their sales and see what new springtime products I can find. The store was clean and well organized and filled with so much merchandise that it can be overwhelming. The products are also made well and made to last. I was shopping for a Breville Smart Scoop ice cream maker, called the store and was promptly told they had one in stock. They set it aside for me to come get. Upon purchasing and getting home we quickly realized we had a defective product making grinding and popping noises. Called the store the next day and manager Daniel promptly ensured they had a replacement on hand to replace my defective unit with. Really happy I purchased with William Sonoma and very pleased that I was taken care of as some places will make you work with the manufacture taking weeks to fix your brand new product. PLEASE attend to the bathroom issue you have in this location. A handicapped stall is NOT a storage closet. People in wheelchairs have limited mobility. This is a great Williams-Sonoma location, nestled in the heart of Winter Park on Park Ave. Staff is always very friendly, I have purchased registry gift items and regular in store items. They are always quick to help and have followed up via phone for special orders, etc. Gift wrapping is done beautifully here. I completed my own wedding registry at this location and they were very helpful. If you are picking up a special order items you can park and pick up from behind the store, so you don't have to worry about trying to load your car on Park Ave. (Hard, unless you lucked into rock star parking in front of the store!) Likewise, if you end up buying things you don't want to lug around on the Ave, just check them and pick them up later. The store is well stocked with regular stock and seasonal items. If you are looking for a foodie gift and aren't familiar with this store, stop in. They do run some fun store specials, so if you are shopping on Park Ave be sure to look at their wipe board at the entrance. I have picked up some great items this way. If you sign up for the Williams-Sonoma emails, you can specify a "home store" location, when you will be updated for store events. This location holds classes, knife sharpening and regular product demonstrations and sampling. read more

Despite my tiny kitchen, I own way too much kitchenware and Williams Sonoma is the reason. I am usually pretty budget conscious, but I am also very quality conscious which is why I keep returning to this place both online and in person. As much as I love eating out , having a well stocked kitchen helps motivate me to keep to a healthier meal plan when I am home. Honestly, most things are the same price or cheaper here than on Amazon when you buy at the right time. They curate their items and have a pretty active reviewer base on their website so I have yet to be disappointed in something I have bought. We do cook and garden a lot so this is right up our alley. They don't have absolutely everything, but they can order it to your house (our coffee maker made this trip -- Italian husband requires very specific things) which is super convenient. They have lots of niche products (man, I love our bread cloche) and they're always super helpful. Just walked out tonight with a full replacement set of bakeware (I swear I only needed a loaf pan -- got sold on the entire set) tonight and I doubt that will be our last purchase here! After a few drinks up and down Park Ave, I always somehow end up here and walk out with a big paper bag --- Ughh. read more

If you're ever in Winter Park, FL and feel like being treated as a King for a day, then visit Williams Sonoma. The moment you walk through the door, you are greeted warmly and immediately offered assistance. Their associates are well versed in the stores products and interconnected to each other through the use of ear radios. I went last Saturday, and even though they were very busy, one of their associates would always come and check on me to make sure I didn't have any questions or trouble finding things. And then, when I was ready to purchase, they kept me updated as if my product was being shipped across the country! "We found your product. We are packaging your product. Your product is ready for you at the check-out area." Talk about waiting on your customers hand and feet! The prices are very high end, but they are not marked up. If you are going to Williams and Sonoma, you are looking for top of the line, excellent quality products. You are getting what you pay for, and best yet, they have a 90 day return policy! I don't know if you have to buy your knives here to qualify but the service offered is still convenient. I bought a set of circle whiskey ice cube trays. The true measure of a retail location is as much about the quality of its staff as it is about the quality of the products it sells. I had a very unpleasant experience with Jolynne, who seems to be a manager at this location. My mother purchased several different styles of wine glasses and some mini loaf tins for me at a California location and had the store ship them to me here in FL -- unfortunately, one of the glasses broke in transit. The rest of the order was fine and I washed the other glasses and was able to use them this week. I called the Winter Park location yesterday (NOTE: it is a 20-mile drive to the nearest Williams Sonoma from my small town) to make sure before making the drive that they had the same style glass to replace the one that broke, and Jolynne picked up. I explained the circumstances and she said, "Okay, bring in your entire order with your receipt and we'll replace everything." Me: "Oh, only one of the glasses is broken. The others are fine." Jolynne: "Bring all the glasses back in the original box that they came in with your receipt and we'll replace them." Me: "Oh I see what you're saying. They didn't come in a box set, they aren't all the same style. They were individually wrapped, separately. The others I washed and put away. That's why I just want to bring in the one that's broken." Jolynne: "Do you still have the box and the wrapping that the order arrived in?" Me: "Yes." Jolynne: "You need to wrap the glasses the way they came and bring your whole order in with your receipt so we can exchange everything." Me: "So you're saying that you want me to take the glasses that are perfectly fine out of my cupboard, try to wrap them up well enough so that they won't break on the way in to your store, put them back in the shipping box along with another item from the order that is perfectly fine, and bring them into the store in order to exchange one broken glass?" Jolynne: "Can I place you on hold?" Me: "Sure." (After a moment on hold)Jolynne: "Ma'am, when were you planning on doing this exchange?" Me: "Tomorrow." Jolynne: "You can just bring in the one glass." Me: "Great, thank you." Which would have been the end of it, right? Except that when I went into the store, Jolynne seemed to be holding such a grudge about having to do this exchange that she first made a big deal about the glass not being the same style as what was called out on the receipt (she was wrong), but then when she returned with the wrapped replacement glass, she handed it to me without a word, turned and walked away, and made a snarky comment about me to a co-worker, who guiltily looked away when I glanced over. Jolynne didn't return my gift receipt either, which is fine, unless I get home and discover she gave me another broken glass. Thinking about it, perhaps employees are being told to be on the lookout for fraudulent returns. Fair enough. But I was simply returning a broken item -- with a receipt in hand -- for one that was not broken. It's not as though I was trying to return something super expensive for cash with no receipt. And it would have been nice to have been given the benefit of the doubt from the get-go, not treated like a criminal both on the phone and in-person. Thumbs down to Jolynne. read more

I had to find what I was looking for on my own after getting a rude answer from one of the high heeled shoe ladies that were more concerned on how she looked then helping customers. I've always experienced gold star customer service in every store I've ever been into. They offer a great selection of unique and useful home chef tools. The manager of the Winter Park, FL store does not fit the William-Sonoma mold and should not be working in a customer service driven career. In the two interactions I've had with her, I've left scratching my head, asking myself what just happened. Being left with an experience that I know Williams-Sonoma would not approve of. I did a return around February. She refused to make eye contact with me, as if she was irritated that I returned an item to her store. The return was completed within the policy return period. I just called the store today because an electronic I purchased is faulty and clearly not working properly. I called to find out exchange details, again within the return/exchange period. I was told that the company isn't accepting returns of used items and that I'd have to call customer service. I hope this company with high standards realizes it has a bad apple running one of their stores. read more
