Definitely would use them again. The project wasn't perfect. There were some miscommunications and some imperfections to the finished product that could have been avoided. That said, I am very pleased. You want to use these guys for your project! They have the best vendors. Friendly, hard working and respectful of your home. They all worked seemlessly together. I am confident in their workmanship. Zelmar was very professional as well. The guidance they gave in selection was spot on. Little details we would never notice was very helpful. Absolutely one of the best vendors I've worked with! They remodeled our older master bathroom with a contemporary design. My favorite things about Zelmar are the straightforward advice, strong vendors, quality materials/workmanship and timely completion. This family-owned business works with you on overall design and materials. Then, they select one of their teams to estimate the plumbing and contracting work as separate estimates. You also order your fixtures and glass directly from recommended vendors. While this sounds complicated, Zelmar kept all the moving parts on schedule. Easy peasy. They gave me solid advice on what could and could not be done. This led me to make smarter design decisions. They recommended a layout which was much better than I originally envisioned. Their plumbing and contracting partners were outstanding. Easy to work with, strong execution, respectful while in my home and cleaned up after themselves. In particular, the attention to detail by Coates Contracting made me a fan. Little things like the placement of tiles so the grain continues, the level surfaces, etc. Home improvement projects can be so stressful, but this one was not. In our case, it was a 1st floor project that included our kitchen, full bath, and floor tiling. Zelmar is a family-owned business - Zeljko and his two sons, Milan and Aleks - and it showed in every aspect of the project. From our first design session with Zeljko through completion of the renovation, our home project was treated as if it were their own homes. That is a differentiator with the competition and a rarity! We could not be more pleased with our new kitchen, bathroom, and 1st floor tile flooring. The trade professionals (artisans) who worked on our project were at Zelmar's referral and were outstanding. The quality of workmanship was excellent, on time and within budget. Communication was never an issue. Overall, a very low-stress and organized project! The entire experience with Zelmar exceeded our expectations. So much so, that we are already in design sessions to renovate our two upstairs full bathrooms. Unprofessional! They will not do anything other than what they want to do. They will not work with you to create your dream kitchen.

I called the store ahead of going there to make sure that they were able to make a custom vanity with custom drawer sizes. Alex, who took my call, from the beginning found multiple reasons why they couldn't do business with me. Mainly bc I was outside of their service area (even though I have a well known Windermere contractor to install it). He was insisting they would have to come measure (but they can't because of my location) even though I am able to supply 3-d drawings and professional measurements from my contractor for the single rectangular space. (It's not a kitchen bud) Following that he asked my budget and continued that "it would not be $1000! He could tell me that right now!" Before I even got to reply he interrupted and kept talking about reasons why it would be $2k or more. So I told him he did a good job at talking me out of buying their products. I could not even explain why before he talked on top of me (again) and hung up on me! They were in my budget...I pay for quality and customer service above all. They get a big F for customer service. We used Zelmart to renovate our kitchen April-June 2019. It was a horrible experience for us. We did finally get our kitchen and new tile floor in the state we wanted because of the work we had to put into it. Because of their arrogance and the people they have working for them, it was a horrible experience for us. We thought at almost $50K, we were hiring a top notch professional company but what we ended up with was what felt like was a two bit operation. Their storefront is very misleading. If we had hired Lowe's or Home Depot, we would have got the same work done for a lot less money. read more

I had a disappointing experience at Zelmar Kitchen Designs. My Wife and I visited the small showroom (a few doors down from Nick's Barbershop) on a Saturday morning excited to kick off our extensive home renovation projects (kitchen and bathrooms to start). We also plan to add several rooms and redo the pool area. We were nicely greeted by Aleks (son of the owner) and we explained that we had several projects that we were ready to do and wanted to start with the completion of a kitchen renovation that was not completed by the prior owner. Although Aleks was professional during the entire discussion, he quickly told us that they didn't want our project. We kept asking if he had any ideas or suggestions for our project, but he said no each time and indicated that they had a reputation to uphold. What?! The entire experience was simply bizarre and I kept looking at my Wife trying to figure out what was going on. We still can't figure it out. We never even got to the point of discussing our budget, timeline or virtually anything about the project - it was just no thank you as soon as it was not a complete kitchen renovation. We never got to discuss our other projects. There was nobody else in the showroom, so it wasn't like he had to get to someone else. A few other tidbits we got during our brief conversation as we tried to talk him into considering our project - they don't have any appointments to measure a kitchen ($95 charge) for 30 days and wouldn't be able to have a crew work on a project until after the first of the year (4.5 months away). Maybe they have just gotten so successful they don't need anything other than huge projects and he sized us up as not being significant people with sufficient money or taste with which to do business. In addition to being unproductive, it was actually embarrassing being treated like you're not good enough to afford the product they are selling. read more

Professional yet friendly, willingly worked within our budget for our guest bath remodel. Family-owned and operated business, they have assembled a team of contractors who are nothing short of incredible. The 3 contractors (plumber, tile & drywall/finish carpenter) clearly communicated with me and get this - amongst one another! They were a well-oiled machine...on schedule and actually kept me on my toes to make sure I had everything they needed (ie toilet, fixtures, etc.) to get the job done on time. This team of timely, hard-working, precise, clean and very, polite contractors made the bathroom remodel as pleasurable as a remodel can be.
