What a high-end furniture store! I came in looking for a new couch, they don't have many options for sectionals that recline. Bessie the couches, they had very nice bedroom sets and I heard that even though it's super expensive, it lasts forever. Looks like West Elm takes quality very seriously. I love the silverware and the throw pillows they sale and I think I might be back in future!

If I had to describe West Elm it one word, I'd say overpriced. They have some cool pieces, but the price just seems out of this world for some of them. One note, when they send you an email, DO NOT CLICK on anything in the email. This holds true for the whole Key Rewards family (Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, West Elm, and a few others). You'll get MORE emails reminding you that you didn't purchase it. So annoying. We did buy a cool lamp as we had some rewards for getting office furniture at Pottery Barn. I don't think we would have paid full price for it, but it was worth it with the rewards. We stop in occasionally to browse but usually leave without purchasing. For that reason, the 3 stars.

4 Stars for a West Elm store that, despite its location, makes a point to highlight great local businesses. I'll start by saying that I wish West Elm was located closer to Downtown Orlando or somewhere 1- more urban 2- Where locals can be found regularly. With that being said, when I do I stop by West Elm I leave with a bag full of gorgeous odds and ends (as a result of some serious living room envy). The brand is always on trend in terms of the interior design themes of the season and yet none of their inventory feels rushed or poorly made in order to hit the market quickly. They have everything from large furniture pieces to small candles and everything in between to make your friends instantly jealous of your chic lifestyle. But the thing that pushes this store past an A-Ok rating is that they have a position that's specifically filled by someone who is supposed to ingrain West Elm in the community through local partnerships, events, and fabulous collaborations. This means that when you walk in to the Orlando West Elm you'll see things specific to the area that you won't see in any other WE around the country. Examples of local goods shown/carried at Orlando's West Elm include: Snap! Space photography exibit 99 Porch Therapy plant wall Reclaimed wood wall installation by Red Rhino Reclaim Local Notebooks - Nate Selikoff (Part of 'West Elm Local' initiative) 12' West leather goods (Part of 'West Elm Local' initiative) Rifle Paper Co. cards and prints (Part of 'West Elm Local' initiative) Anyway, you get the picture! Also, if you follow them on social media you'll find out about some great local parties they host including craft meet-ups by the fabulous (local) Sarah Hearts. Great local integration by a brand big enough that you wouldn't expect it.

None of these items were purchased through the store auctions and were able to be taken home same day (we had rental trucks). The pieces we have purchased are classic in style, (rococo/chippendale) made from quality, solid, mahogany wood and with ornate carvings and design. We were looking for a stool to go with the vanity and we lucked out and found one today. The price on the chair MSRP was listed at $1,099. The owner of the store offered it to us for just over $400 including tax. We happily took the offer, as we were hard pressed to find anything that seemed to match the current aesthetic without breaking the bank. This warehouse type facility has a borage of items and hosts virtual auctions every weekend. You can find king Louis style bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture, chandeliers, bathroom vanities, large area rugs, decorative statues, holiday decor, outdoor gazebos, and more. They are always updating their inventory which is shipped in from around the world. If you're looking for stately (and sometimes over the top gaudy style), bespoke and over sized furniture, World of Decor should definitely be on your list of places to check out.

It's not just about storage--it's about creating a more organized, functional, and peaceful environment. I found myself discovering so many smart solutions for both home and on-the-go organization that I hadn't even thought of before. On top of that, the entire experience is just easy. A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.
