This area is obviously always busy, but we went in today looking for a knife block and the store felt very calm and easy to browse. And there was absolutely no line to check out. The store is dog friendly, I was able to bring my pup in and the staff absolutely loved him! The selection of goods is great, you can definitely find some stuff at a good deal, but on average things are more expensive than I would want to pay. I have a love-hate relationship with The Container Store. On one hand, I love the promise of order. On the other hand, I resent the fact that I now apparently need to buy a container to house another container of stuff. We are living in a time where you are expected to pour your perfectly good box of Cheerios into a more aesthetically pleasing box before placing it in your cupboard. I am really supposed to believe the original box is no longer acceptable? Enter The Container Store, which both soothes and triggers me. I am currently in what I can only describe as a soul crushing transitional phase of life. I have just moved. I do not have dressers yet. Not because I cannot buy them, but because I refuse to be trigger happy and purchase something I will regret. I am painfully picky about furniture. So instead of making a rash decision, I am living out of boxes. Yes. Boxes for clothes. Plastic containers for makeup. Random bins for food. It is not glamorous. I DO have a pantry... I'm in a new construction home.... everything is fresh, new and oh so not organized... This time, I am trying to approach it differently. Buy exactly what I need. Not the whole store. Just what serves a purpose right now. That is how I ended up with roller storage solutions, including a Hulken bag, which is actually kind of brilliant. It is sturdy, has wheels, looks cool, and currently houses clothes that either do not fit or need alterations. I can move it around easily, which in this dresser free existence feels like luxury. There are genuinely smart solutions in that store. The Elfa system is excellent. I have had California Closets before and loved them. There are plenty of closet systems out there that can transform a space into something functional and beautiful. But my core pain at the moment is simple. I do not have dressers. I cannot put anything away. Everything feels temporary, stacked, shifted, mobile. The Container Store gives you tools to create order. Another great experience at this location. We were picking up an item that we ordered online as a pick-up at the store. We learned during our visit, the 'huge news' that Bed, Bath, and Beyond will be merging with the Container stores nationally. Currently, this Container store has a 30% off sale due to the merger as they are re-organizing many of the items in the store to accommodate Bed, Bath, and Beyond items sometime in May. As you walk into the store, the center aisles, from the front of the store to the back, have items that are 30% off (all properly ). The aisles to the left and right perimeter of the store are still at the regular prices, but still worthy of consideration. I am surprised there are so few in this area. Upon entering this one it felt like home. I knew where to go for what I needed. In and out in a few minutes since all the store layouts seem to be virtually identical. Best prices? Maybe not. Love the weather-proof bins that are stackable. I wish there was one closer to Jacksonville, but there's not, so this store is often on my list of stops when I'm in the Orlando area. There is a lot of different styles and types of containers. There is even an area where they will help you design your closet space. Traffic getting in and out of the parking lot can be a harrowing event, but I really can't complain when ordering the bins I'm looking for online usually ends up with me getting a cracked or broken bin delivered. read more

I would like to say that I love the store! The Customer service inside the store and the products are all amazing! That deserves a 5. Sadly I am writing about the closet system design. First of all, I had to email my designer to see if she was coming as she was already 15 min late and she called stating that she was almost not going to show up because I had not responded to her email list of questions. I looked in my email and there was no email, however, I looked in my spam and there were her questions. I explained that to her, so she came 35 minutes later. Next, she measured and we explained what we were looking for, many times her response was I will have to check with the corporate team. She came to show us Elfa but we were interested in Preston. I showed her sample closets and her reply was I have to check with the corporate team to see what they suggest. She informed me it would be a few days and then we would have a zoom meeting with the designer to make sure they explained the project and the cost. I never received a call or email. We sat in my office to see photos on my pc of the closet ideas and the first thing she said was oh is that a photo of your daughter, I was insulted. That was a photo of me a year and a half ago. But today I was in my shorts, t-shirt, hair up in a clip, and no makeup. I was insulted. I emailed her after she left a photo of a closet to see if that could be done so that she had it when she did her estimate and her response was oh we do not do closet ladders and gave me the name of a different company to call, not the Container store. In the meantime, I have emailed her 3 times to ask her if she has the quote and crickets, no response. In my opinion, this is a big turn-off on that part of the Container store. Maybe this is one salesperson but she needs a lesson in customer service. I sent her 7 to 8 ideas in one email and no response. My OCD tendencies loves every square inch of this store. I went there for glass bottles and canning jars, but sadly, so had many people before me. They didn't have much inventory but I salvaged a couple bottles and jars. They also had a lot of small fun things that would make great stocking stuffers for Christmas. If you are looking to organize any room in your home, garage or office, you'll find many products and ideas. The only downside are the prices. If you're looking for a way to get better organized in your home, this is the store for you! They have some really neat ideas for how to get yourself and your house together. Many of the items would be super handy! The parking lot is huge, so you'll never struggle to find a spot. They are across the way from the mall and it's relatively easy to get in and out of the area. I like this store for a number of reasons - one being I can put my hands on it to feel and see the quality- two to discover new organizational tips. This store is much too far from where I live to frequent but if I'm in the area I like to drop by and see what's new. Cool store! Great place for storage of any kind. From shoe racks, garage, furniture, kitchen, and office, you name it, they got it. I bought a large 60 pair shoe rack on wheels. I don't have 60 pairs but it was the perfect size and setup for where we needed it. Also bought cedar shoe inserts and a small trash can that fits on my cabinet door. It looks great and not tacky like others. Good quality items! The store has a good flow to it. So many things I liked. Very clean and the staff was really friendly. You can also order online with them and pick up at the store. I definitely want to go back and see more. They also have where you can sign up on a program where they store your receipts. So in case you lose it, you can do a refund or exchange without it. read more

Today was my first time in here. It was so organized and clean. The way the store is set up is by different organization needs. They have a section for closets, office supplies, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom needs. The prices are a little on the steep side especially since most of it is plastic, but they do have sales. They also have a rewards program that I signed up for so next time I come in, I get 15% off. They also offer curbside pick up. I went on a Tuesday night so it was basically dead in there - which was great for me! It was very spacious in there and you could take your time going through every aisle to get ideas. I will be back for more storage needs since COVID gives us all more time to clean our houses. read more

I never know where to start looking when I go to the container store as there are so many enticing displays and colorful items! I always joke that the Container Store has a container for EVERYTHING, even your socks, but this is true! This Container Store is greatly placed near the Mall at Milenia and other shopping sites and with their high prices, they fit right in. In early November, they already had holiday items and so many unique stocking stuffers for the hard-to-buy for gift recipient. They also now provide a service where someone will come to your home to 1) help you figure out which type of California (they have another name for it at the Container Store, but it escapes me) closet will best fit your needs and/or 2) help you figure out which containers your home would most benefit from. Although there are an abundance of containers, there were not an abundance of employees to assist you and I think that this might cost them some sales as I overheard at least two customers speaking to their shopping companions about wanting to find employee to ask a question about an item, but then noted, "Never mind (about the item)," when it was evident that there were no employees nearby. read more

Cheryl is awesome!!!!!!! Upon entering the store to pick up an order that I've waited 6 months for due to the item being back ordered (large drop front box replacement lids) there was no one at the front to guide me in the right direction to do so. In an attempt to politely ask the first employee I see, Martin (Assistant Mgr), to kindly point me in the right direction, I am TOTALLY ignored. I said politely "excuse me" twice to Martin, not seemingly interrupting him from doing anything: both attempts ignored. It wasn't until I let him know in an audible tone "That was rude!" that I was heard by Cheryl. Once she noticed how a paying customer simply needed assistance, she stepped in and asked me how she may assist. It was then that Mr. Martin realized that he actually can speak and says "Thanks Cheryl" despite ignoring my prior efforts to communicate with him. She is amazing. Not only did take care of my order at an open register, but she also offered to personally deliver my order to me while I sat in the comfort of my vehicle during COVID to avoid a large crowd. If you are a bit compulsive about organization, then this store will be like crack for you. We have had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff is very friendly and the store is amazingly easy to get around. They have everything your heart could ever desire to help you organize any part of your life: your home, your garage, or even your desk at work. My only complaint is that almost everything thing is overpriced. I find that we window shop here, make notes, and buy it elsewhere. They have some exclusive brands, but you can usually find a similar product. I have to confess that I dislike doing this. However, their price-points push it. I also was disappointed in the consistent harassment about me not wearing a mask. I was with a group that was wearing masks, I was the only one not: it is not anyone business why I didn't have one on. I left the store, didn't purchase what was in my cart. So I had big expectations when I heard this spot was arriving! I haven't been to one in quite a while and I remember great things. Well, it's gorgeous, clean and very organized - that's a huge plus! Overall though, I wasn't blown away. I really had a strong desire to leave and go clean my house, ha! I think I just dig Ikea more. Seems like they have most of the items and at a cheaper price. I do appreciate what they are going for though. We were not greeted at the door and with as many employees that were working, no one even talked to us. Yes, we were there when there was a good amount of people but it was no where near packed or over crowded. I just expected them to be more hands on, asking questions etc. We ended up buying something small and the woman who checked us out was pleasant. They have a lot of nice office supplies though and a pretty good kitchen section but a lot of their things are over priced and you could buy them on Amazon for less. The employees are willing to help and nice, and the store is also very nicely organized. I was surprised at the size of this store but was also surprised that they lacked a variety of containers. I was looking for something with a latch that didn't look thin or have a broken latch. A lot of the latches on the containers were broken or didn't close properly. It's easy to find, they've got a great spot at the corner of the conroy intersection and it says THE CONTAINER STORE, very large to see on a plain white building. They are always well staffed inside so help is easy to find. I love this store because they've got all the little goodies for random organization or storage tricks, even things you didn't know were a think but are beneficial. I went in on a Monday night to find shelving for a small, awkward closet. An hour later, I was sitting at the curb, waiting for them to bring out my shelving components, which I chose via computer to make sure they would work in my space. Not all of the options are cheap. But there are several different price points available, which is useful for those on a budget. I splurged on drawer organizers to further store my stuff in an easy to access fashion. Checked out this location recently to buy a deviled egg carrier. I actually specifically came to the store just to buy that item (called an egg-tainer). I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can check online for items to see if they are available in store. The container store has so many storage options for every area of your residence-kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, closet, toys, etc. It's easy to get lost in the aisles imagining how organized you'll be if you buy every last one of these items. I wish it really worked like that, but it doesn't. Somehow just buying these containers makes you feel better and more organized by association. I have to say, that I was really impressed by the storage for bath and beauty items. They have great organizers for accessories and cosmetics that you cannot find another places. Stopped in for the first time recently while in the area. It was a Monday morning so there were no other customers and I had the store to myself. My mission was to purchase a jewelry organizer that I had seen on a friend's Instagram. The store is a bit overwhelming when you walk in but easy to figure out once you stop and take a look at the signage on the aisles. Found what I was looking for and ventured around. Picked out a laundry sorter. Only chintzy thing is they they sell the bags separately. Certain ones were for sale so I purchased those. A sales associate then came over to greet me and was very helpful. She gave me a catalog and told me to make sure to check out the back aisles of marked down merchandise. Lately, they're been running great deals where if you spend a certain amount ($100, $500, etc) they will give you a gift card to come back the next month and spend more money! Since buying a new house, I've been visiting The Container Store A LOT over the past few months. The main thing I've purchased is various containers for my drawers - kitchen drawers, bathroom drawers, desk drawers, junk drawers, etc. While this isn't really a necessity, it gives me peace of mind to keep things organized and in their proper place. The Container Store is amazing because they have such a large selection so I always find something that fits the space. Yes, the prices are high, but it's comparable to Bed, Bath & Beyond, and places like Ikea/Target/Walmart don't have the same selection or quality. Got some containers for my sneakers. Pretty straight forward. I live about an hour away from the store so I took some time from work to get the containers. Picked up 2, 6 piece boxes taped up, looking good! Get home, 3 of the containers have no front plastic flap! The boxes were closed from the factory, mind you. Now I have to go back to the store to get new ones due to a mistake from the factory. Remember, one hour away!!! I have heard of the Container Store from friends about how wonderful it was but I have to remember that these recommendations were from friends who are super anal about organizing. Yes... they have tons of containers, boxes, files, trash bins, etc to help you organize your life and home but its almost too much to take in... too many choices... and way too expensive. I went in a few weeks after they had opened on a weekday afternoon. It was busy but not packed like I had seen it when I drove by during the first few weeks. There was plenty of staff to help. I was approached a number of times during my hour in the store and was asked if I needed help. The conversations always seemed to end up with trying to convince me that I needed to buy a new closet system. I guess they really like to push those things. I took my time and walked up and down all the isles. There were many different types of solutions for my home. Each one was better than the next... but what shocked me most was the prices. Everything in my opinion was about two thirds more expensive than any other place selling the same type of storage solutions. Not sure I would spend $120 on a laundry basket. But I did find some fun things I would want for my home that I had not seen any place else. If I had bought those 4 items, I would have spent a little over $100. I would love to know what their average sale is like. I was also blown away by the prices of the closet systems. $4000 for a 10' system? The Container store is nice but just too expensive for me. I know that there is a market for these items and some people will spend the money to buy them all but I cant afford them. Granted, the big blue and yellow store across the street does not have the variety The Container Store has, but at least they can solve my needs at a price I can afford. Atmosphere = 10 (beautiful store!) DSW is my liquor store and The Container Store is my candy store. Was in the need of some new hangers for a organization project I've been undertaking. And after scouring the blogs, several mentioned the Basic Wood Hangers you could find at Container Store. For as much as I love walking through stores like this, you would think my life would be a little more organized. :-/ I was easily able to find the hangers I was looking for and be on my way. They were out of one style that I wanted, but the associate that noticed I was snapping up hangers said she'd be happy to check in the back. She couldn't find any even though their inventory said they had one, but she did say they would have more that coming Friday. The staff was friendly and while they did only have a few registers open for checking out, they hadn't been open that long and their day was really just getting started. I've been in three Container Stores in a span of 10 days. Yes, I know I have a problem. And this was probably my least favorite. But it's not a bad store at all. It's relatively easy to get in; exiting isn't as easy but it's not difficult. Comparing stores, which I can't help but do, it's just not my favorite. However, it is the closest option, so I'm sure I will learn to love it. P.S. For all the other organization nerds like myself, they do have a new loyalty rewards program. I did have high expectations fueled equally by friends sharing of their affection for shops up north & the huge sign hung to taunt us with an opening date four months before it opened. I've always been a fan of the container store. Its organization to the 10th power. I was very glad they finally opened a location in Orlando. This city is too big not to have one. It made no sense. I digress.... This store can organize anything in your life. Its best to hit them up when they have a sale. There is always something on sale. And it varies by section like.. Travel sale, or...Closet organization sale...or Office Organization sale....so on and so on. When going to their grand opening I heard many customers saying "Its just like Ikea" Yes it is very similar as far as things being very modern, but this store is sooooo much more scaled down. Ikea can be a bit overwhelming with all the levels, twists, turns, shortcuts, and what not when all you need is pretty box. Everything here is on a shelf, all on one level, like a regular store vs a warehouse. For their closet/garage/work area organization that have example displays that look pretty cool. Beware: the price tag for the complete set can begin heart palpitations. Thats why its cool that you have the option to only buy only the pieces that you will need for your particular space, or, you can wait for a sale, or, you can use the display for inspiration to go off of to go get a cheaper RubberMaid version from HomeDepot/Lowes etc. This place is worth a look if not to incorporate into your organization needs, then at least just to find ideas. read more

Oh my goodness! This store is a dream for all your organizational needs. I went there to find some baskets to put in my freezer so that the food stops falling out when I open the freezer door, because I keep packing it in there too tight. There were so many choices. I first looked in the kitchen area and saw something I thought I really wanted. But then I walked a little further to the regular basket area and found some really great plastic baskets that looked really sturdy and would take being in the freezer. The containers and storage areas in the store are beyond your imagination. They even have one whole section of the store for closet storage. They will design the closet of your dreams. They also have a an area of stationary and gift bags and gift boxes if you need something like that. The cool thing was that when I checked out they asked me to join the perks club and I immediately saved 15% on my order and then when I signed on online they sent me an email to save another 15%.
