I SINCERELY love Ikea. Especially this location. Although, like all ikea stores this place is a maze, it has high ceilings and is spacious so you at least don't feel too claustrophobic walking around. The food is standard across all location, and I love all the menu items. The service is quick and the vegan meatballs surprisingly taste exactly the same as the beef ones. And I love the smaller takeaway items closer to the exit. Can't beat those prices. My favourite ikea location by far!
Late night ikea so line up at cafe wasn't too bad. Because it was late night less staff there were lots of empty cup trays and ppl had difficulty to get a cup. Ppl kept shattering cups ... Food was good and being ikea family u get free tea/ coffee
IKEA's restaurant is currently running a promotion offering a Deluxe Breakfast meal for $5.99 and a pancake meal for $2.29, which provides good value for money, making it a worthwhile stop for breakfast if you're nearby. The food is generally good, but if you live far away, it may not be worth the trip just for the meal. It's a good idea to take advantage of the promotion before it ends, especially if you were already planning a visit to IKEA. The breakfast experience was enjoyable, especially we didn't expect too much and as a member, there is free refill for coffee too! ^^ This makes it a convenient and budget-friendly option for a quick meal before shopping or other activities nearby. Try this out!
Great store with lot of options for every section of the house. It wad fun just roaming around the store. I bought bedsheet and pillow. It was worth it.
Had dinner here on a Friday night. It was packed, huge line up. Waited a long time. Ordered 3 dishes. I bit into one of the cod balls, it was rancid. Smelled horrible, definitely had gone bad, and they were serving it. The swedish poutine was ok. Cleanliness of everything wasn't great. Saw someone walk by with a dessert on their tray, and there was a hair stuck to the side of the cheesecake. There were bits of black stuff that came out in the sparkling water.
Full Breakfast for under $6, this still exist in Toronto! At IKEA their breakfast menu starts at $1.99 for pancakes and the Full Breakfast Plate: This includes eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, and pancakes, all for $5.99 and you get free coffee or tea if you scan your IKEA family membership card. With the price I can't complain and the pancakes were actually fluffy. I didn't want bacon and they were able to replace sausages. The line gets long as there's only 1 person scooping the food and 1 cashier but the wait was acceptable. Come early as they start breakfast at North York location at 9:30am until 11:00am. Note that breakfast isn't available in the downtown Toronto store.
August 5, 2025 - Ikea had a 50% deal for Family members when you purchase their core dishes after 11:00am. I got the meatballs and fish and chips. My friend got the meatballs and salmon. The discount applied for all dishes pictured except for the salmon. The meatballs were nice and tender and the gravy was good too. Fries and fish and chips were good too.
I came here on a whim because it's been a while since I ate at an Ikea restaurant. If you get the free Ikea membership then you also get free coffee (unlimited refills). The restaurant operates like a typical food court, go down the line, pick up your food and then walk to the cashier to pay. The food isn't anything spectacular and it is heavy food (lots of gravy). It is descent and priced well. All items wee pretty much less than $10. If you are even more tight on budget then head to the other food store located on the ground floor at the exit. They serve $1.50 hotdogs (veggie dog is available). I would come here again.
Ok, so you're in the GTA, and you want to go to IKEA. I believe there are two in the area, and I'm excluding westerly points along the "Golden Horseshoe." I saw the Etobicoke IKEA and didn't like it all that much. There really aren't good TTC options to get there. I had never been to the North York store before. For this one, the TTC options are excellent ... It's Line 1 and then, at Sheppard-Yonge, a connection to Line 4 to the Leslie station. I hoofed it over there with the wind whipping right through me and pushing my buttons, as can be expected with someone raised under or near palm trees. The store appearance is standard. I was surprised that the entrance lobby from which you pick where you're going to go was that understated. In many IKEA stores, they approximate atria. I quickly made my way to the restaurant. The restaurant is clean, bright, and spacious. I was thinking along the lines of salmon, but then opted for fish and chips. The platter was tasty. To that, I added a vegetable medallion. I detest spicy food and would take bland food over it anytime. That said, they are much like how it is with wafer-like matzoh bread, where it's bland but you just keep snacking on it. These vegetable medallions have the same effect and I could eat many more. I also added a slice of strawberry cheesecake. With the IKEA Family card, coffee or tea are free. No, I did not go all the way up to North York for free coffee. I went because, like McDonald's, I crave an IKEA meal every once in a while. The pricing was fine and I was satisfied with the final tab. I was content with how this Canadian IKEA priced those vegetable medallions. IKEA stores in the States and in Europe borderline rob people with how much they charge for them. The general area around the store is a nice one. The personnel here are very polite. The customers are also well behaved. The people watching in the world's most ethnically diverse metropolitan area can be very interesting and, in analogous terms, it is Houston that is the U.S.'s most diverse metropolitan area, not New York or Los Angeles. It's 4 stars for this IKEA because I would gladly return. I would need to have my arm twisted to go to the Etobicoke store and it's not because there's anything wrong with it ... it's because it didn't gel with me.
I happened to be around the area and got really hungry - not knowing what to eat, I saw Ikea in the distance and instantly thought of their meatballs. Glad they have a big sign, cause it really helped navigate me through the big plaza and find parking - which is pretty huge by the way. The layout of Ikea itself is very similar to the others - with the same flow setup of furniture and then food court at the end - of course you can walk through the shortcuts to get to the food section directly. Food section was also exactly the same - with the prices, items all similar. I do like that consistency cause I wanted to go in without any surprise and get my main craving, the meatballs! I always liked their meatballs and I'm glad it's the same consistency as I remembered. Very juicy, great texture and love the gravy. The dish also comes with a cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and green peas - a very heart warming meal. There were a lot of green peas - so be warned cause I know some people really hate this ingredient! Anyways, I did not walk through the Ikea store cause I wasn't buying anything and was simply passing by - but definitely next time, I will spend some more time to soak in the whole experience.
Can't come to IKEA and not get some meatballs and ice cream! I'm sure everyone has been to IKEA and know about their simple design furniture (although, time consuming to build in my opinion). This location is always rammed with people regardless of day and time that you come, so be prepared to be a little snug with other patrons shopping. The prices are all fairly reasonable here and you can find some great pieces for your home that is practical and useful. Now, you can't come to IKEA and not get their food! They have a cafeteria where you serve hot plated food with a self serve area as well. The second food section is the fast food area after checkout where you can grab quick bites like hot dogs and ice cream. I always opt for the cafeteria Swedish meatballs and my partner always gets the fish and chips. Both are always so delicious and hits the spot, since we love IKEA food! The lingonberry soda is also really refreshing and not too sweet. Lastly, you have to get a cone on your way out regardless if you buy anything or not. They now have a vegan strawberry cone that is more icy in texture and is really good. I still prefer the vanilla cone though, but it's a nice change once in a while.
Did you know Ikea sells breakfast? Classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, fries and your choice of bacon or sausage for $3.95, which is bargain these days. At least I didn't know until I had to drive my partner to the hospital because of an injury in the morning and it was super close to this Ikea. As you know the hospital wait is hours and this was the perfect place to kill some time. The food court isn't really built for working but I was lucky and got a spot with a one outlet so I can plug in a laptop and do work while enjoying my breakfast and complimentary IKEA coffee (with Ikea membership). The morning isn't too busy at all but when you get to the noon and after can be a bit loud so have your headphones ready. Overall great experience. Ignore some the prior pictures I attached of the plants and pancake which was from a previous visit. The swedish frozen pancakes are really good and I'm bummed I think they discontinued it. I haven't seen it in my last couple visits.
We were going for our curtain shopping yesterday. Then we found that there was a kid's scavenger hunt, find the maple leaves from different departments and write down the color of the leaf. It was not easy to go along all the departments. At the end, the prize of the game was a free kid's meal only. We thought it might be some kid's toys. A little bit disappointed. My kid loved the food too. The kid's meal was including the main dish, milk or pop juices, and Applesauce. Adult menu was even more choices. The family member card can have a cup of free coffee or tea, and refillable. Now, IKEA has some items with special prices. We got this week's special Kitchen Faucet ($39), which was $129 before. It wasn't the best and ideal one, but price wise, it is a good price. We heard that there is balloon free event for kids. We missed that part. Hopefully, we come next time, it will still happen. read more

I was provided with a service appointment date of June 3, with an expected arrival window between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a Taskrabbit assembler named Abby to complete the assembly of my IKEA furniture. When Abby did not arrive within the scheduled timeframe, I contacted him directly and was given information that conflicted with the appointment details I had received. I then contacted IKEA, through whom the assembly service had been arranged. After navigating multiple automated prompts and speaking with customer service representatives, the assembly was rescheduled for the same day at 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, 3:00 p.m. came and went without Abby arriving. At approximately 3:30 p.m., attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, as he did not answer his phone. Despite spending the better part of an entire day communicating with IKEA's chatbot, AI support systems, several customer service representatives, Taskrabbit, and the assigned assembler, the task that had been paid for was never completed. While the IKEA customer service representatives I spoke with were courteous and genuinely tried to assist, neither IKEA, Taskrabbit, nor the assigned Tasker were ultimately able to resolve the issue or fulfill the service commitment. To date, I have never received a follow-up explanation from Abby regarding the missed appointment. As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend either IKEA's assembly service or Taskrabbit unless customers are confident they can assemble the furniture themselves or have an alternative arrangement in place. When problems arise, there appears to be a lack of accountability and communication, leaving customers without answers and wasting valuable time. read more

Came here on a Friday evening and there weren't a lot of people. Lineup to get the food was quick and there were many tables available. The tables were a bit dirty though. Food was decent as a fast food place but food was just warm. Flavour is pretty good overall but the cheesecake seemed to be overly sweet. The poutine was quite good. It's a decent place if you want to grab something quick and affordable but also something better than fast food kind of food. read more

My first time trying the Ikea restaurant! We ordered: * Swedish Meatballs $8.99 * Haddock & Chips $8.99 * Small Poutine $5.99 * Reg. vanilla frozen yogurt $2 The standout dish for me was definitely the Swedish Meatballs which I've heard a lot about. I would definitely make it a point to stop by the restaurant just for them. The atmosphere is very casual and bustling with activity, with a self-service style of ordering and seating. The staff were friendly however I did find the dining area tables and many of the utensils dirty. My boyfriend and I found ourselves scrounging for a clean spoon and fork to use. Overall, the Ikea restaurant is a great option for those looking for a quick and satisfying meal while shopping. The portion sizes are generous and worth the price. Will definitely be back on my next trip to ikea! read more
I forgot to take picture of the haddock and chips. I got to the place 15 min before restaurant closing so the fish and chips wasn't very temperature hot, but both fries and fish were still tasty and still lightly crispy on the outside. The line was long, but we still moved at a good pace. I also got the free coffee. The checkout person didn't ask me for the family card so had to cancel the transaction and scan the card, that was what I didn't like. Refillable coffee is always nice. Lots of seating at the time but there was no forks, had to wait a bit to get them. read more
I can always count on the Ikea Restaurant for a hearty meal for a solid price! Whether it's the meat, vegetarian or vegan meatballs, Ikea offers a generous portion on their meatball platters with mashed potatoes and ligonberry sauce! For an additional $1.25, you can add a Veggie Rosti for additional textures in every bite! read more

Still the oldest and best IKEA location in toronto. Biggest cafeteria and widest variety of food and dessert. Classic store design and the food is nostalgic to a tee. Everytime I hit up IKEA I gotta get me some swedish meatballs and a slice of daim cake if it 's available that day. The pastas are hit and miss usually (as well as the fish) but the swedish meatballs are always consistent and NEVER fail. I visited the new IKEA store that opened recently at yonge and gerrard (my friend lives in the building), and walking around was just meh. The IKEA on provost hits different when you walk inside. The caf ladies I feel, are also way more generous with the soft serve at the provost location. The coffee machines are also maintained well and the condiments bar is always stocked up, which was not the case at the yonge and gerrard location. read more
If you don't know about Ikea. You need to get out of your cave, Covid is now manageable and it's time to get back to enjoying life and Ikea's famous Swedish meatballs. You can get them frozen in the food section or you can eat them in their cafeteria style restaurant, among other pretty good reasonably priced food choices. Don't forget their $1 hot dogs and excellent plant based soft served frozen treats (I swear it's just as good as ice cream). Oh yeah, they also sell household furniture/furnishings, good value for your money but you need to spend time assembling some of the furniture pieces. Spent at least 90 minutes putting together a bed frame with the help of my friend. Well worth it. Ikea is a great place to shop around for new and older apartments read more

Since restrictions have been eased recently we weren't sure if there'd be a long line to get in. We got there around 9:30 am on a weekday with the expectation of a 10 am opening. Customers wanting to go into the store and those looking to return items all start going in the same direction and then those going for returns start snaking into a line and everyone keeps walking towards the entrance. There's an employee at the entrance asking customers to use the hand sanitizer and enter one by one. Once inside I found that it was quite easy to physically distance from other customers or just wait for a bit if we want to look at the same thing. I feel like it's been forever since I've been to IKEA and there's products that I hadn't seen the last time I'd been (vanity mirror cabinets, kitchen sinks, range hoods, baking supplies). I had brought old batteries and light bulbs with me to drop off but was told that they've temporarily stopped accepting them. read more

Wanted to re-live the nostalgia by getting Ikea food and ordered the salmon dinner. Unfortunately, they were out of hollandaise sauce so they substituted with a light and sweet tomato sauce. The salmon was OVERLY fishy. I know it was cheap but just stick to the meatballs. read more
I love coming to Ikea to look at affordable furniture and I like how they server food there as well! They recently opened up their cafeteria after it being closed for a while due to covid. All these years, and I've been pronouncing this ready-to-assemble furniture store from Sweden as EYE-Kay-AH! It's actually EE-kay-uh! Huh? I think the regular way sounds better - haha! I've been buying furniture and accessories from here for many, many years! You can't beat the prices, and mine have stood the test of time. While I rely on other brands for certain areas of my home, I have to say, their bed frames, bookcases and tables have come a long ways in terms of style and functionality. You can easily spend over an hour browsing through just the housewares section alone. I usually visit just when they open, to avoid the lineups. I always start my shopping with the cinnamon bun and coffee special, but they haven't offered it since the summer. They also have an fantastic return policy of 365 days. read more
This was my first visit back to the IKEA restaurant since before the pandemic. There was a lineup to get in, but they were quick and efficient as they checked vaccination records and IDs. I was craving their meatballs, so I went with the classic. Eight meatballs, with mashed potatoes and a side of lingonberry jam with gravy. It continues to be a reliable comfort food. The only thing that was surprising is that the dish used to contain 10 meatballs for several dollars less. I guess that's what they call inflation. We also orders their new plant balls which were on special for $3.99 with the same sides. They were so delicious we purchased some frozen packages for home. We also had their $1 coffee and Swedish apple pie ($2.49) which were both phenomenal value. It's nice to see life getting back to normal. If you're at IKEA, it's worth a stop to see what they're serving. read more

This extremely popular location is always out of stock and it was really rough trying to build out a home office during Covid! It seems like their stock issues have been eased somewhat but not completely. I checked online the night before going in store to note where specific items were located (some LED lighting strips) but it turned out they were out of stock the next morning anyways. Speaking of timing, it's way better to go around opening when parking is plentiful and the aisles aren't as crowded. I actually stopped by twice in the same day - once an hour after opening and the next time after lunch in the afternoon. Highly recommend going earlier. One disappointing thing was that they are no longer serving cinnamon buns! We were told by an associate that they might bring them back one day but as of right now they were off the menu. A few interesting things to note: - The line for returns and exchanges is currently outdoors. There are signs indicating this. It's near the front of the barricades that direct you to the entrance. - There are smaller rolling baskets similar to the ones that you might find in a grocery store. I saw people using them although I didn't see the stations where you can pick them up. - There is a security guard manning the exit so if you leave, you cannot go back in this way to get to the cafe. Get your hot dog and ice cream before you leave! read more
The food quality has gone down and the prices has gone up. It's my third time going back since the pandemic, and all three times they didn't have any mac and cheese. They soft drink has switched to in house brands, it's super foamy and I'm not a fan. read more

I love visiting Ikea. No matter which Ikea you visit all of the stores have a very similar layout so it's very easy to navigate and explore. The parking lot: the parking lot is a bit different from other ikeas in Canada. Because it's in more of an urban area, there are multiple levels which means you can park "indoors" which is great for this winter days. It also makes it convenient because the exit is sheltered so when you park to load your car you're protected from any rain or snow The store: because of this location, no matter what time of day or day you visit it is always packed with people. But to be honest this is what makes Ikea and Ikea. If you don't get stressed in an Ikea then did you really have a good time?! The service: there are lots of staff in this store to accomodate the heavy traffic which is nice. There always seems to be someone available if you need help The assortment: just like all Ikeas, the assortment is always well merchandised and makes you feel inspired to buy everything. It's great to see that layout change so quickly according to seasons also. It really feels inspiring to visit read more
