What an overwhelming place to shop. You will get your steps in for sure. Elevator and stair access to varied levels. They have areas designated such as chairs, closets, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bedding, canisters, etc. There are displays that are assembled and coordinated for you to envision your space. Once you find what you like, you can either put it in your shopping cart or if it is a larger item needing assembly, you can get it boxed from their warehouse. They also offer delivery service for a fee. They have a small food court too. Some items seem to be cheap quality but others are higher end so just look carefully. Helpful, friendly service.

There's something comforting about coming here to just walk around. If you have kids, they also have a play area that you can drop them off so you can shop freely. It's so easy to spend hours and get lost here. I love the different displays they have that give you a feel of how their furniture all comes together. They have such a wide selection of items which is great. I'd say their price is decent depending on the item. If you've never been to IKEA, be sure to take note of the item number you like to find it in their warehouse downstairs to purchase and build. They have a cafeteria style restaurant as well. The staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking.

We always love to go IKEA to have a visual and complete picture of our rooms. IKEA is very good at building such good display room sets. I really like the new cabinets with LED lights. The prices are actually very reasonable since they are very durable. The staff are very nice and helpful. Don't forget to get your cinnamon rolls and ice creams. I like their sparkling raspberry as well. It's very refreshing after a long shopping trip upstairs :)

IKEA's swedish meatballs have long been an iconic symbol of simple, affordable quality. So while prices have crept up while quality has gone down, I still often find myself returning here for little shopping dates. Where this location struggles is with service. Staff are often hard to find on the main floor where you pick up furniture boxes. The experience really pushes you towards self service - from understanding furniture details to figuring out delivery and pickup logistics. For example, there isn't an easy way to tell if a furniture's pieces can fit your car because half the furniture you can buy can't be picked up. On my last couple do visits, staff did not help me navigate this, and it ended up costing me 1-2 hours of extra shopping time without a desired outcome. With that said, I do occasionally get a helpful and enthusiastic staff member on the shopping floor that helps me look up new furniture or figure out the colors/styles that might generally be available. So for the soft spot I have for this furniture playground, its cute and solid furniture finds, and the hope that service support and consistency improves, I am landing on 3 stars. I will likely be back... but fingers crossed for smoother adventures next time!

Went on a Sunday for a car meet and we had our breakfast there at their cafe. Let me tell you, the food was spot on that morning. We had bacon, some crepe/pancakes, eggs and the famous meatballs. It was delicious!!! It wasn't as big as the one in burbank but it was still fun going around and food was spot on.

I loved it here. I was in a deep search for realistic potted plants with a black pot & of course IKEA delivered. Nothing beats their prices! I also got a three pack of realistic succulents & a yogurt ice cream to end my night and it was all under $15. I'm thrilled!

This review is for the lactation room on the first floor. Pretty basic with only a chair, sink, and changing pad. Surprised that IKEA didn't take the opportunity to make it more comfortable with its own furniture etc.

If you're in the middle of a move or just looking to refresh your space, IKEA is honestly a rite of passage. I'm currently in the process of gathering ideas for a new apartment, and walking through their displays was exactly the inspiration I needed. The showroom is massive, and I love how they've updated the layouts--it feels very fresh and full of modern ideas for every possible square inch of a home. Whether you're trying to figure out how to maximize a tiny studio or just looking for clever storage solutions, they have a "room" for it.

IYKYK this orangutan plushie (DJUNGELSKOG) has been sold out in most if not all U.S.-based IKEA stores. Today 2/24, I was lucky enough to grab one by ordering online for pickup when it was restocked at the CM location. It is super soft and lightweight. Not surprisingly, it sold out again same day. Price is $19.99 but I applied a $5 IKEA family coupon towards my purchase.

I liked: Swedish Meatballs Vanilla Candles The Swedish meatballs are a solid choice and great value, especially if you are already shopping in the store. They taste comforting and are surprisingly easy to eat which always leaves me wanting a few more. They did not have peas this time but the peppers were fine as a substitute. Service was fast and efficient. The ambiance is average for a food court setting but it gets the job done if you are taking a quick break from shopping. Overall a reliable stop for a satisfying bite while navigating the showroom. Overall the selection of stuff in the store itself was fine there are some popular items that they don't have stocked. Buying here is pretty comparable to buying elsewhere. You know ikea furniture isn't top shelf but very valuable for a new house or college students.

7/5/2025 We went to Ikea today to look at closet systems and a few other items. We took photos of the tags and went to a nearby customer service desk. They are so helpful at this store. Kelsey saw that we wished to place an order for delivery and assembly and was quick to step up and help us out. Kelsey wrote up each item and confirmed all vital information, delivery and installation specifics. What terrific customer service. Quality product and people as a fair value. Highly recommended

IKEA is great, just know what you're getting into... They're the vertex point of quality vs. price, and depending on the item in question that meeting point may be higher or lower, but you will get a cool design take on whatever item it is, and it will likely not last forever, but it will last long enough that you will feel like you got your monies worth out of said item. IKEA: Please bring back the deeper Billy shelves, I came here looking for this and I guess they've now made it more shallow instead. Have both options, I beg you. :P

Okay. They seem to have a lot of the furniture that you'd find on the website and it's easy to locate items in the warehouse. The viewing rooms are also nicely decorated and they're quite spacious. We also had to return something once and the process was also super easy and efficient. My only complaint is that some of the workers are not very knowledgeable. An item that we were interested in was located in "Aisle 00" which is not labeled anywhere in the warehouse so we went to ask an associate. She didn't know and just directed us to the self-service kiosks which was no help because the kiosks just said the same thing that the website did. Considering it's the only Ikea in Orange County, you can't be too picky.

Do they have curb side pick up or will bring items to your car?

Yes, they do. It's called "click and collect." The only they don't do is tie things down in your truck or on top of your car.

Do they sell frozen veggie balls or plant balls at ikea?

IKEA sells both veggie balls and plant balls

Do they still have the bulk candy section?

I was there about a month ago and don't remember seeing one.

Is the food court open? Do they still serve those awesome Swedish meatballs??🤔🤔

    YES!

Is breakfast served everyday? What are breakfast hours?

Yes. Usually up to 11am then it's the lunch/dinner items. Have fun.

I asked and they said only service animals, they are pretty strict on it.

Is the main viewing floor open?

Yes, our Showroom and Markethall are both open for shopping.

Are they open for indoor shopping?

Yes, although they regulate how many people can enter so sometimes there's a wait outside. Cafe is closed as well

Receipts are now required for returns and exchanges.

I have an item that I am putting together and one of the pieces broken in half and for 3 days I cannot get anyone on the phone, since I'm 9 months pregnant and don't want to wait in line. How do i get ahold of anyone?

You have to go to the store. That's the only way

Went there last week, and it was super long line. Wonder how long the wait to get into and checkout line?

depends, we went on Monday around 7pm. no line and approx 2 people ahead of me at check out line.

Anyone there at the moment, kno how long the return line is? Thanks in advance

Depends on what time you go. There is a QR code you scan to get a number or just stand in line. Average wait 1-2 hours. There is someone with an iPad that can check where you are in the pecking order.

Is IKEA at Costa Mesa actually open? We went on Saturday it was closed for click and collect only. Haven't had much success with click and collect.

Yes, they should be open for click and collect, I have had my orders fulfill twice in the past couple of weeks

Been trying for pick up/delivery for a month now. When I FINALLY get to the checkout page, it keeps saying there's a processing failure and to check with my bank, nothing's wrong with my CC nor the 6 cards I've tried. Anyone else get this issue?

I wore some new shoes which I bought to help with my bum leg\foot, so my limp and gait were more pronounced than usual. As I walk around, this middle age lady comes out the back, greets me and starting talking to the other older woman employee. Before you know, it I start hearing the younger woman suddenly start talking about her uncle who is disabled with a bad leg. She goes on to say that he was in discomfort for a long time, particulary his foot, but that it's all suddenly better now. I thought that was weird but as I kept listening, I noticed that she would say certain buzzwords like "I mean..." and "I don't know..." and "you know..." and "this guy..." Strangely, she said "this guy is so small" a few times while talking about an inventory item. Later she started telling the other woman that she had a near photographic memory. (She asked the woman to quiz her on the price of an item, which she got wrong 2 times and finally guessed correctly on the 3rd try which I thought was funny). Anyway, I soon realized that she is trying to fake synchronicity to lure the customer into making a purchase. Her MO became clear as day. She studies and watches the customers coming in and then begins a conversation with the other employees regarding something she notices (makes a read on) about the customer or perhaps overhears the customers talking about to make the customer think that the "coincidence" is a spiritual sign. The shop is clean and tidy, but it's mostly cheap mass produced art work or knick knacks that is marked up 500%. The older lady is actually very sweet and I get the feeling she just gets taken advantage of by the younger woman. Stay away from this fake Christian place! Even if Jesus came back and walked through the doors, that lady wouldn't recognize him and try to make a sale to him.
