Shopped all day with my granddaughter . We love looking at all the cute room set ups . Then we enjoyed lunch at the IKEA cafeteria, everything was delicious!!! I had the veggie balls and my granddaughter had chicken fingers , she said they were great !! We also had their fancy dessert ! Totally yummy !!! We bought one downstairs in the food court for Thanksgiving dinner dessert . I got a bathroom sink, cabinet and faucet , the employees made it so easy to get everything I needed !!!!!!! read more

Great products and great service! I ordered a whole kitchen and bathroom for my brand new home for delivery and an employee named Marc helped me get my delivery done on time and it came within a week exactly as I asked. IKEA definitely has top notch products notch products for the price but even better customer service. I love going to IKEA. This one has a large outdoor parking lot. The Pomona one I remember had a large parking garage. It's like any other IKEA where you go thru the giant showroom looking at all the neat furniture and accessories. I noticed they don't have all those little pencils anymore to write down what items you want. I usually just take a pic of the item number on my phone. Was here a week ago and waited in line for about 10 minutes to get in. Everything is inspiring at Ikea and we were looking for some rails for these square boxes because the rails were out of stock at the West Covina Ikea. This location is a bit crowded but it's like the closest thing to visiting a museum right now due to quarantine and the pandemic. This Ikea feels isolated even though it's right by South Coast Plaza. The parking lot is huge and there's really only one way to get in or out of here. It's also right off the 405 fwy. which is also convenient but feels far? I wish I could give this place a 0. The service here is horrible and very rude. I usually would like going around ikea, but your staff ruined my day. 1. I was looking around at the mirrors/cabinets. And when I opened the cabinet mirror, the potted plant on top of it fell down because the vines got caught in the door. Luckily I caught it before it might have broke. Sorry not sorry, your staff need to decorate better honestly. Who puts a potted plant on top of a cabinet door when obviously, it's going to tug on the vines and fall down. I went up to the cashier, before I could even ask my question she rudely interrupted me and told me to go ask the people in the back. So when I did, they told me to ask the cashier. I just gave up and went back to my seat until an actual worker finally gave me a box. 3. Staff are just rude and obviously don't get enough sleep, or they just hate their job. They always have one or two products that are really stand-out in terms of design and quality, but it seems like I'm not the only one that notices. The parking lot is huge, with reserved spots for an item pickup location that allows you some space to Tetris your items into your car. The top is mostly furniture, bottom is storage/accessories. The furniture often comes in a variety of colors to mix and match looks and styles. Just take a snap of the code on the item you like in order to order it/pick it from the warehouse. Also, just before you reach the cash registers, to the right, is an As-Is section with very good buy on previously purchased/returned items or showrooms items they are selling at a huge discount! We always look here first. You may also discover some other good finds here too! There is a restaurant and a quick order area at this ikea, so take a visit to them also if you have the time! They do have decent showrooms if you need help with deciding how to decorate your place. I enjoy getting ideas about colors to use together. The family restrooms are clean and up to date. The company will not uphold their delivery policy and then will not state the refund amount they are giving leaving the customer to look and feel stupid when they call and find out that after multiple phone calls and fighting to figure the delivery out they only get their delivery fee refunded instead of the entire purchase. This is why Amazon has more business and is much more worth dealing with compared to ikea. Will never shop here again. Wife bought a IKEA day bed and was missing the instructions. I called their customer service for them to mail me a copy and they said they couldn't do it. Really?! We returned the bed. BUYERS BEWARE : We purchased this couch yesterday (STOCKSUND) for the kids play room. We stayed up late last night (while sick) to surprise the kids today. Literally within one hour of use the center frame SNAPPED! My 110lb nephew went to sit on it (like a normal person would) and SNAP! I have been on hold with IKEA for over 1 hour waiting for help. We are having guests over and need a new couch by tomorrow. I am being told they cannot deliver a new one for 3 days! This is completely unacceptable on so many levels. After we rented a truck to return the hood and my wife recounted our experience and frustration with IKEA to the woman at the return desk at the Costa Mesa store she asked my wife to hold on a minute while she talked to a manager. She came back with a generous accommodation. My wife completed a survey and of course complimented the woman. Availability for some of the pieces was spotty and instead of just setting for a month+ delivery delay, he figured out how to get most of the pieces delivered the next day and gave us a shopping list for the remaining important pieces at another Ikea. We've been going to this IKEA for years and this visit was a sad state of affairs. Starting with the cafe for lunch.... there was a reason it was mostly empty (which we've never seen). The workers were very unenthusiastic, the food in the warmers was barely warm, and they managed to make their star dish (meatball entree) unappetizing. We've had it countless times. There were no coffee cups (had to ask for them). No real coffee creamer (only powdered). Then we went downstairs to browse. Displays half empty or disorganized. Lots of missing price signs. After self check out we went for the cheap ice cream cone. Now they want you to do the digital purchase at a kiosk! Like McDonalds! And the $1 cone (that included tax) is now $1.50 + tax (and you have to use a kiosk to get it). Allot of sad changes. read more

The girl at closing at self- checkout today didn't know what personal space was. She made us feel targeted when we were clearly counting up our items to make sure everything had been scanned. She even went as far as to delete everything and make us scan it over again, hovering over us and intruding on our personal space. Completely ruined our moods. we understand that people steal and they must be aware of it, but she could've gone about it completely differently instead of making us feel uncomfortable. really good food at an affordable price. highly recommend for those who are seeking delicious ethnic food and nice swedish ambiance. it really brought us back to our childhood homey days in sweden. it felt like we were at the dinner table with our papa and mama. we all really liked it. we felt welcome and safe. one tiny complaint: the whole tray setup was lowkey mid. three of us had a hard time walking our trays with water back to the table. this may be a problem on our part however, since our fourth person had no trouble at all. other than that, excellent! the chocolate brings us back to our glory days in sweden. all in all, excellent establishment. read more

most of their stuff is out of stock due to the shortage. They did a lot of new remodeling and designs and they brought a lot of new things but most of the stuff is out of stock, I even checked another location and it wasn't available. The other issue that we had was when we checkout there was a big line of people and they made this checkout line like a big Maze. We were on the line for maybe 30 minutes to get into checkouts which were ok because it was around closing time. When we check out our items and paid we looked at the there food/snacks area which was after cashiers. We grabbed a couple of items and we wanted to pay but they said we have to get into the line again. Hopefully, the Ikea team change this soon because they will lose a lot of business. Review is for "customer service." On August 9, 2022 at around 4pm. We purchase a used table, had legs on and it couldn't fit in our car so we ask one of the workers that we had to go to the customer service desk to get it undone. We did and went over to customer service desk, and the two girls saw that we were there told us immediately that went were in line and told us to check-in? I was confused because the check-in was only for exchange and returns which is not what we're doing. We just need some tools to get off the legs from the table to fit in our car. One of the girls looked at me and saw the table and walked off to grab us a screw driver. The two girls were honestly so rude, didn't even wanted to help us at all. I heard them whispering "did you call them" at one of their coworker? So one of the girls just left and went to grab the screw driver and dropped it on the table like "done here you go" type of thing. And the tool that she grabbed wasn't even the correct one to get the legs off. But thankfully, later another gentlemen came and grabbed the correct tools for us to get the legs off the table and loosen it for us. I was thankful that he was the only one that was able to help. The two girls working in "customer service" shouldn't even be there. They couldn't even help. Just went and talked among themselves. If anyone needs to do a return or exchange, apparently you have to go to the customer service area and... just good luck. I just wanted to ask a question which was just taking the legs off the table and they were not very helpful so wonder how it'll be like to deal with other things. read more

Massive site requires comfy walking shoes and you can get a workout in while you shop! There is a complimentary daycare which looked fun but unfortunately it's for older kids (over 37 inches in height and those that have been potty trained). So instead my toddler spent some time in the kids section of the store and checked out the kids area where a few pieces were on display for trial like a kitchen set, a tunnel and a tent. Additionally, I loved that there were little activity centers at each help desk section in-store. It made it easy to occupy my toddler while the staff looked into my purchase. I've taken 2 stars off for the delivery/installation service we received. The guys that came in to install our cupboards damaged them and didn't say anything until we noticed! They then said the cupboards came that way and that we had to take it up with IKEA! Difficult phone experience. We managed to get through them on the third try after being on hold for 40 minutes. They said they would look into our issue and call us back but that didn't happen. So we went to the store to sort it out. Long process but it got sorted in the end. read more

Thank you IKEA Costa Mesa for being so efficient! One of the items I wanted (Kallax cubby shelf, 3x4) was out of stock for a while. I added it to my cart and asked to be notified when in stock. I waited for about 3 weeks before getting the notice that it's available. I purchased it within 10 minutes of getting the notice and was able to pick it up via Click and Collect the following day. I was a bit worried when it took longer to get the notice that the items were ready to pick up, but I'm grateful to have a 24 hour window to pick up the items. I checked in at 8:55 and the items were delivered to my car by 9:05. I loaded the items myself and was ready to go by 9:15. To those giving negative comments due to out of stock items or long wait times, please be patient. The system worked for me (just had to wait a bit longer but that's ok), the Click and Connect option to pick up was great, and the customer service rep who brought the items out was very friendly and kind.
