The service was good today. Coffee was good, plenty of refills in a coffee pot. Comfortable and clean dining area. I ordered scrambled eggs, toast and ham. My partner had the same as mine except with scrambled eggs. Everything was good. The home fries, eggs, and ham were overcooked and dried out however and they should offer more jelly choices than grape.

IHOP: Friendly service, but my burger was charcoal & the crepes were flavor gymnastics gone wrong. Staff deserves all the praise!

Yikes! I like IHOP but this place was a total flop. I came with my family because we were with two young toddlers. We walked into a empty dining area and waited 10 minutes to be seated and when we did the service did not improve. The drink order took 15 minutes and the food around 30-40 minutes to be served. Some people order the purple Monster Pancakes and the frosting came out white. The experience was extremely strange. The only reason I gave the place a 2 star was because the server was working extremely hard and was friendly.

I have been to this IHOP location before but never had such a bad experience here. When my friend & I got here we waited almost 10 minutes for the hostess to seat us while she took a take out phone call that took all of 10 minutes to just get their order. The restaurant was very busy when we got there but she was going to seat us before taking the phone call. In my opinion she should have asked the takeout to please hold while she seated us. When we got to the table it was wet so we had wipe it down with napkins. We ordered & it took a minimum of 50 minutes for us to get our food. In the meantime at least 4-5 takeout orders went out. Our waitress didn't have much of a personality & didn't seem very ambitious. We were seated near the kitchen & while we were waiting for our food there was some sort of spat with yelling in the kitchen that half the restaurant could here. There was also a lot of foul language coming from the kitchen that was loud enough for patrons to hear. When our food came my bacon was raw...literally which I had ordered well done. The manager delivered our food & she said she would get me fresh bacon. I didn't get my bacon until 15 minutes later when she walked past my table & her memory was triggered that she had forgotten it. When the restaurant started to clear out there was dirty tables everywhere & it appeared there was only one bus person clearing tables. I will never return to this location again. We were headed to providence & I should have gone to that location where I've always had a good experience. My recommendation is don't eat at this location! Very disappointed & dissatisfied!

Our server, Jenna, visited our table soon after we were seated and brought us water. We were waiting for other members of our party, and she never made us feel rushed or pressured. While waiting, we put in drink orders and the "Lavender Fields Forever" cocktail that I ordered (Rhodium Gin, lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, snap pea simple syrup) was so delicious, and garnished with a beautiful sprig of lavender flowers. We ordered two appetizers: Point Judith Calarmari and Corn Arepas. The calamari had too many tentacles and not enough rings for me, but the arepas were excellent. The cornmeal base was crispy and hot, and there was just the right amount of meat and toppings. For entrees, our group ordered the Chimichurri Grilled Chicken sandwich, The rigatoni with pink sauce and sausage with crispy chicken as an add on, the short ribs over mashed potatoes, the Wood-Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, and the Rib Eye Steak. We all enjoyed our entrees. It is evident that Iron Works uses high quality ingredients and puts a great amount of care into the preparation fo their food. We split three desserts amongst the five of us: The flourless chocolate torte, the cheesecake, and the Banoffee Sundae. The flourless torte was rich and very chocolately, and the cheesecake was very good as well. I'm not a fan of bananas, so I didn;t try the Sundae, but the friend who ordered it enjoyed it. After dinner, we sat and chatted for awhile,, and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. This was a very enjoyable evening in a great restaurant environment with delicious food.

Most egregious: the shrimp that came with the Caesar salad was POPCORN SHRIMP coated in SWEET-AND-SOUR sauce. I truly couldn't believe it. Why wouldn't the server at least warn me? To add insult to injury, my salad was overdressed and soggy. Also, the dressing was revolting. I don't mind anchovies for flavor, but the dressing tasted like an anchovy puree. I think it was maybe past its prime. I had one bite and couldn't continue. Inedible. And the fries. The parmesan truffle fries were drenched in mayonnaise??? I don't really care for mayo but I don't mind a drizzle or an aioli dipping sauce. However, the mayo to fry ratio was literally 2:1. I tried to wipe it off and it was still like a mayo-fry soup. Inedible. I took everything to go and just trashed it. I've NEVER done that before. This is a delayed review (meal was a few months ago) and I'm still rattled by how bad it was.

Its in a nice little spot, there was plenty of parking and the space is clearly new which you notice in a nice clean newly paved parking lot. I like when I walked in- there is a small entry - you're not thrown into a big space. I wasn't expecting table service at a brewery - even with a full menu - that was a nice surprise. Our server did have a slight lag where we were thinking wheeerrrrrre did he go? But the rest of the night he was on top of things. I ordered poutine and a couple of beers. The poutine was good - I like shoestring fries. But I have one beloved former RI restaurants poutine taking up too big a space in my heart still, and this didn't quite hit that. But it was a good snack. Great serving size. We sat in a small alcove with like 4 - 4 top tables. I dig the decorations. Christmas lights are festive and fun. The bar looked decently busy for a wednesday evening - but the acoustics inside work well and it didn't feel noisy or distracting. I got the Cohesive (American IPA) and def enjoyed it. We didn't love our particular table - we were seated right where people line up to order beer, so it felt like they were basically standing at our table. If I went back, I'd probably ask to sit somewhere else or just grab a seat at the bar. The beer was decent, with about 8-10 varieties on tap. You can tell this is a local favorite. What a great place to meet up and connect with friends! Definitely worth checking out.

Unfortunately, this location seems to have mostly very young employees working without enough visible management or supervision, and it really impacts the customer experience. This is the second time we've waited an unreasonable amount of time for something simple that we already ordered and paid for, this time being a side of Shake Sauce. We stood at the front waiting because there was no employee anywhere to be seen, and the few employees who were around completely ignored us. There was also a pregnant woman standing there waiting 5 to 10 minutes just to be acknowledged because items from her order were missing as well. If no one is going to consistently stay at the front, the restaurant should at least have a bell, buzzer, or some system so customers are not left standing there wondering what to do. What's most frustrating is that these were issues that should have been handled correctly from the beginning, and when employees finally did help, the attitude and facial expressions were unprofessional and unwelcoming. The food is still good, which is why this is disappointing. This location seems like it would really benefit from stronger management presence, better customer service training, and experienced managers who can properly guide and support newer or younger employees.

It was very cramped. I sat in the inside chair, in order for me to get out, my husband had to get up and move his chair totally out and around the end of the table for me to get out. The table on the other side had the chairs right up against the chairs behind it. Whatever. We got settled and looked at the menu. First item on the app menu was a bread basket. 4 rolls of bread for $8. Most places just bring bread. Ok, we aren't getting bread. Ordered drinks. I got an apple cinnamon mule. It was very tasty, but 2 sips and the drink was gone. The cup was filled to the top with ice once the drink was gone. Ordered the sirloin sandwich. Server said it's her favorite thing on the menu. I ordered the horseradish on the side because too much is overwhelming. It came smothered in horseradish. The person who brought it food placed it and was gone, so I didn't have a chance to say anything. I managed to take the steak out and wipe off the horseradish... there was soooo much. I couldn't eat the bread. By the time the server came over to ask how everything was, the rest of my party was almost done eating. I mentioned that the horseradish was supposed to be on the side and she said "oh no! It's ok though right?" I said I guess it will have to be, as she can see most of my dinner was untouched and I was eating my wiped off steak with a knife and fork. She didn't say anything else and left. No manager came by. She never came back other than to drop the check. After we ate my husband told me his ahi tuna bowl had a ton of soy sauce in the bottom and the rice was swimming in it, so he didn't finish that. We won't be returning. I have written many yelp reviews and almost all our positive. If I don't like a restaurant, I usually just don't review it. But after reading other negative reviews for this restaurant, I figured I should warn people. Had I read the reviews first, I probably wouldn't have gone. Lesson learned.
