I came here on a Monday afternoon around 6. When we arrived it was dead but minutes later more and more parties came in. There were many burgers that caught my attention but ultimately I went with the spicy jalapeño smash since it's a favorite among customers. I forgot smash burger meat patties are meant to be thin so I regret not getting two patties. I ordered some sweet potato waffle fries on the side. Overall, I the burger had good flavor, but it was pretty thin. I didn't like the bread, it either was stale or reminded me too much of gluten free texture. They also didn't have tomatoes due to an issue with them, which might've impacted the moistness a little. It had a really good amount of jalapeños and the cheese was a bit crispy from the grill which I liked. The sweet potatoes fries were good and crispy. I found the food to be expensive so I'm not sure if I'll be back but I did like it. There's plenty of parking and the staff was really nice and attentive. I received an advertisement in the mail and saw that strawberry shakes were on the menu so I went tonight around 8:15pm. Not busy at all. A very neat looking man asked me what I needed from where the food comes out. I said I would like to place an order for a strawberry shake. When he came to the register I asked him if I could please have a strawberry shake. He did not say anything so I was a bit confused. After about 30 seconds of discomfort I said "What should I do next?" He did not ask me if I wanted anything else. He just stood there and said "Did you want anything else?" I asked him the price and he said "It's right on the screen" !?? He mixed the shake for about 15 seconds and it was watery. I will not be returning to try the food. I take pride in treating service staff with respect. I know their job is difficult. I have been a nurse for 38 years and have dealt with difficult people who are sick, but I am generally treated well at restaurants. I wish this review could have been positive. read more

Such a terrible experience. If I could, I would give it zero stars. On December 7, 2025, I went in to pick up my mobile order after waiting at the front for about 15 minutes, even though the store was completely empty. My order was already sitting on the counter, so I went to grab it. The store manager immediately started yelling at me, repeatedly, for no reason. When I calmly told her that she shouldn't speak to customers like that, she responded that she "doesn't care because she's the manager." I then asked for her name, and she refused to give it, saying she didn't have to share that information. She continued to tell me to leave and even threatened to ban me from DoorDash, despite the fact that I'm not a DoorDasher. The stereotyping and unprofessional behavior were unbelievable. After looking longingly at the sign as I drove past the restaurant many days, I finally decided to drop in. The first lesson I learned is call ahead. It took awhile to get a to-go order and I saw a few people come who phoned ahead so they clearly knew the trick that I didn't. It probably took so long because they had to put ample salt on the double bacon burger. And by ample I mean oh geez it was too salty! But for the salt, it would have been a very nice juicy burger. It had so much potential that was dimmed by a heavy hand with the salt shaker. The smash fries are pretty good with olive oil, and even the regular fries are good. I stopped by because I was really craving a burger. The location is in Attleboro in this plaza where they have a Starbucks etc. when I walked in the ambiance was nice, it has low lights and a retro vibe. The menu board is big, which makes it easy to place your order. I made my order and then sat down and waited for the food to be brought out to me. They give you a ticket and you wait for your food. They brought out one thing at a time which was frustrating and then mixed the orders up. I tried the cheese burger it was good, just too salty for me. The onion rings were good but over cooked. Not flies, but these little bugs that crawled on the walls by where we were eating. They were a lot heavier by the garbage. I can't comment on the food, but they usually have the best burgers, as we didn't order anything, when we went to order we were informed of a 45 minute wait as they were doing a catering order. Just went to Smashburger for the first time. I will say the burger & fries were good, but for a spot that is less than a mile away from Five Guys I wasn't overly impressed. It was a nice, clean and quiet place. You order & pay at the counter then your food is brought to your table based on a number assigned to your party. They have some bottled drinks, 2 Coca-cola freestyle machines (which were both very low on flavors or not functioning properly) and they have milk shakes made with Haagen Dazs ice cream. Even tho it's a quality ingredient $6 for a small shake is kind of pricey. I ordered the classic smash burger as is, another person ordered the same but with only ketchup and the third ordered a special burger advertised in the window. We also tired the smash fries (seasoned with olive oil and spices), the regular fries and the tater tots. The burger was a nice size and cooked and dressed well, but the fry portion was rather smaller compared to Five Guys and was similarly priced. To wrap it up, Smash Burger is another chain of fast food at non fast food prices. The food is tasty and good quality. They offer more choices than Five Guys by having, chicken, turkey, veggie burgers and a few salad options which is nice. First time in this location. Clean, service was good. I always enjoy the make-your-own-flavor Coke machine too. The look and concept feel a bit like Cosi to me: order at the counter, take a seat and your food is delivered. I ordered my classic burger with no cheese; it was delivered with goat cheese. Scraped that off rather than returning it because I fear that's all the kitchen would have done. I appreciated the fresh lettuce and tomato. Burger was solid, but a bit on the thin side and maybe a bit greasy but slightly dry at the same time. Our fried pickles were super tasty, with a light coating that was delicious - but way too salty. Basic fries were nice, crispy, and good. Two burgers, two sides, two soft drinks for $25 would have been ok at a full service place. It seemed a bit pricy for an order at the counter establishment. I did like that if we wanted a beer we could have had one - and a Leinenkugel at that (love love the watermelon). I end up getting the grilled chicken kids meal and I'm happy with that. My kids love the taste of the burgers, but they have to be careful of the grease that drips out of the burgers. What's not to like? Modern comfortable and clean dining area, courteous servers, reasonable prices and great burgers and fries. I had the beer and cheese burger with spicy mustard and grilled onions. Just the right amount of grease, and lots of flavor. The rosemary fries were good too. The sound system was a little loud, but not as loud as five guys, and they bring the food to the table and clear the leftovers. If your looking for a place to have a burger, fries, and cold beer for under $12 this checks all the boxes. The atmosphere is easy going with a contemporary decor. The service was excellent albeit with no wait. Unlike 5 Guys you can have a beer or hard cider with your meal. I ordered the Classic Smash (lettuce, onion, tomato)with smash fries( garlic and parmesan coated) with a beer. The value vs quality was above average with a 7/10 rating while the fries received a 6/10( crispy goodness but not mind blowing).
