Very disappointing quality control at this Shake Shack location. * The burger was extremely salty, much saltier than other Shake Shack locations. * The patty was overcooked and completely dry, with none of the usual juicy texture. * I paid $1.99 extra each for avocado on two burgers. One had no avocado at all, and the other had two tiny, paper-thin slices--not even the size of a thumb combined. After checking Google reviews, I noticed other customers reporting the same issue, so this doesn't seem like a one-time mistake. It feels like if customers notice and complain, it gets fixed--but if they don't, the store just keeps the extra charge. Charging premium prices is fine, but this kind of quality control and portioning is unacceptable.

I came back to Shake Shack on Thayer Street recently. When you enter, there are 3 self-order kiosks in front of you. A staff member is also present at the counter and you can order with them if you prefer. I used the self-order kiosk and it was easy to use. I ordered a single Black Truffle Burger ($10.49), fries ($4.49), and a large Berry Cherry Pomegranate Lemonade ($5.49). My husband ordered the single Avocado Bacon Burger ($9.99) and added lettuce and tomato for no extra charge. We grabbed the table number next to the kiosk and our order was brought out to us. There are plenty of tables in the seating area. The Black Truffle Burger was so juicy, mouthwatering, and amazing. I'm a huge fan. When I was finished, I wanted more and next time, I'll probably order a double. The fries were as crispy and good as always. The Berry Cherry Pomegranate Lemonade was a little too sweet for me, but it had good flavor.

Not the best, not the worst. Shake shack is pretty standard across the board, but given that this one is on Thayer St, parking can be rather challenging. The first time I came here, the fries were overly salty, so I had to request no salt the 2nd time around. Good enough for a 2nd time, but mostly for a quick eat and being in the area. Employees are kind and respectful. Typical Shake Shack ambiance and clean. There are usually some nice deals on their app, e.g., free chicken sandwich on all Sundays through Dec 2024 with $10+ purchase, BOGO milkshakes, etc. So, it's worth it to download their free app and use their deals!

As fast food goes, Shake Shack is pretty good, and I was 2.5 miles into a walk on an 85 degree day, and a little hot and thirsty. I was near Thayer Street and opted to walk into Shake Shack. I ordered cheeseburger and fries. Service was prompt, the burger and fries arrived quickly, within a few minutes. So I assume my burger wasn't cooked to order. On this visit my burger was a little dry and tepid. The fries were hot, crispy and tasy, Overall, not great, not bad, three stars.

Recommendation: Order at the kiosk. Saves time. One star off because they never texted us when our order was ready. Food was delicious. I ordered the Shack Stack, which had a crispy-fried portobello mushroom on top fo the regular patty, spicy ranch crinkle-cut fries, and mango passionade. Classic, greasy, and delicious. The drink was okay; nothing to rave about. I also tried the Chicken Bites, which were okay. The restaurant is spacious, but I can see why many customers order to go based on location. Although Shake Shack is a bit pricey, the quality speaks for itself and it is really filling.

Great Shake Shack location! We ordered two single ShackBurgers, fries, and 6-count Chicken Bites. When the order was ready, a server brought a tray with our food over to our table! I didn't know that Shake Shack did this-- a pleasant surprise. Service was very nice. Food hit as always. The potato buns are soft and slightly crispy on the edge, tasty patty, and crispy fries. Not the cheapest fast food but really satisfying to eat. The only reason why I took a star off was because of the bathrooms. The bathrooms have a padlock on them, so I asked a staff what the passcode was. They wouldn't tell us the code, so they told me to wait for one of the staff to come over and unlock it. This was inconvenient and definitely not good for someone that really needs to use the restroom. So, definitely come here with an empty bladder. Otherwise, food was great.

Delicious burger and fast service. Love you the lemonade options they have. Plenty of sitting area with wooden tables and sports tv. The cleanliness of the bathrooms were disgusting

This is the second Shake Shack I have been to, the first in NYC. Parking is on the street which may be hard to find on Thayer street. We lucked out and go a spot right in front. When you enter, order and wait for your order on the right. To the left is a good size dining area with booths and tables. The rest room is approached from the dining room side, in between the order counter and dining room. This means you cannot see when your order is up from your table, so you need to stand and wait for it. A self serve counter in the dining area has things like napkins and condiments, and there is a place to get yourself tap water here as well. I tried the portobello mushroom burger which is a vegetarian burger substitute. The mushroom and other ingredients, like the cheese, are encased in a breaded shell which must be deep fried to cook. It has a crunch to it, and the melted cheese oozes. The chicken sandwich was beyond tiny. About the size of two and a half nuggets at most. Not much of a sandwich. The chocolate shake was super thick and fudgy. We really enjoyed that. The bathroom door has a cypher lock on it. You need to ask staff to unlock the door for you and have a receipt ready to show proof you are a customer. The floor in the hallway leading to the bathroom, and in the bathroom itself was a sticky mess. It looked like a half hearted attempt was made to mop it up but basically just spread the mess around. Tables are self bussed and we had to wipe ours down w/some napkins when we seated ourselves. Trash is over by the bathrooms where you can leave your tray.

Solid fast casual place in a great location right on Thayer. Insanely easy ordering system through their app or website. Only downside is I wish it gave you the option to write a note or say something like "no pickles." I probably won't be eating in the physical restaurant any time soon but I am always down for a burger & fries with a custard to enjoy after.

About 5 years ago we were in nyc and there was a shake Shack at our hotel, we loved it so much we ate there 3 times in 3 days Searching for burger places in providence, and too my surprise shake shack came up . Immediately after hearing that the family quickly agreed. We were happy to find they were as good as we remembered. The fries and shakes were awesome too. Place was clean and COVID precautions were well taken Only issue is parking, it's a busy street so you can't be shy, but service is quick

No taste testing as they are all sandwiches/tacos pre-made. Friendly and prompt service. Ice cream: wow, a 10/10! As recommended, we patiently waited 5min for it to thaw to the perfect texture. We tried the Ube with coconut, Banana pudding with peanut butter, and Red Velvet with chocolate... worth every penny of the $5.50/$6.50! They have a big blackboard at the top that shows their menu and also has ipad that has menus as well. They offer ice-cream sandwiches, ice cream tacos, push pops, and cones. I got their almond coconut chocolate ice cream taco. It was very chocolaty with hint of almonds and coconut flavor. The crunchy shell with chocolate was tasty. A bit heavy and rich but to be expected. Service is quick as they seem to have all the ice-cream already prepped in the freezer. Overall, the place was good. Another unique Ice cream shop in the area which is always welcome. Would like to coke back yo try their other type of ice-creams.

It is located next to a school so traffic can be heavy depending on the time of day. I went around 5 pm and the weather wasn't great so not as much traffic and parking right in front. It is metered parking which is a downside but I believe there are side streets without the fee. I loved a lot of the details when I walked in such as the ice cream cone chairs along the wall, the art on the wall, the citrus colors all around, and a water station. The menu isn't very extensive, but | actually love this about them. Each flavor is very unique and when every flavor sounds and tastes good, a dozen options is perfectly fine. They also have it broken up into regular hard ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and sorbet. I couldn't decide on what I wanted but I was allowed to sample different ones before committing to one. They offer 4 different sizes: mini (golf ball scoop) - $4, scoop (baseball) -$6, half/half - $7, and double -$8. During my sampling session, I tried the horchata, thai tea, and dulce de leche. I ultimately opted for the dulce de leche because of its sweet, creamy, and intense caramel-like flavor. It almost tasted like a cold Werther's caramel melting in my mouth, so I needed more of it. However, I loved that the horchata had a strong cinnamon and vanilla presence with a hint of coconut since I do think the non-diary flavors are coconut milk based. The thai tea literally tasted like a frozen thai tea as it was milky but also the black tea undertone was there. I did not get to taste the london fog but I also heard it was a black tea flavor. Just based on internet pictures, it looks like the menu is constantly changing (some staple flavors don't seem to leave) and there are seasonal flavors. This motivates me to come back more often to see what treasures I come across. They had a few tables inside to enjoy your ice cream there. There were two people working so I did not wait much for my turn. They also do offer pints to go, but from what I could see only two flavors: cookies and cream and mango sticky rice.

That part comes down to personal preference... I can tolerate a taste I don't love. What I can't tolerate is bad service. The employee working on 5/25/26 was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. She acted annoyed whenever someone asked for samples and made customers feel like they were wasting her time. She handed over cups of ice cream without spoons or any explanation of where to find them. After running the register, she simply turned around and walked away before the payment even finished processing. Like I said, taste is subjective. How bad can ice cream really be, right? But poor service is something I don't overlook. I won't be returning to this place. In my opinion, 3 Sisters and Sacred Cow offer a much better overall experience.

On the table, there were round decorating turntables, cups of frosting, frosting spreaders, mini M&Ms, and icing in piping bags. When the whole class was ready, the staff member gave us our first mini ice cream cake and showed us how to frost it and use the piping bag to create grass. Then, we decorated our second mini ice cream cake. I think my second mini ice cream cake was better, but we were pretty much left to decorate freely. I wish there was more instruction from the staff members. Unfortunately, the mini ice cream cakes started to melt while were decorating and it was messy. The staff members were wonderful and friendly though. They let us keep the mini ice cream cakes in the freezer for a bit while my friends and I grabbed a smoothie from Mia Cane nearby. They have a huge selection of flavors, and every time we go in I end up standing there longer than I planned because there are so many tempting choices. It's the kind of problem every ice cream shop should have. The ice cream itself is outstanding. It's fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every flavor we've tried has been excellent, and it's easy to see why this place has developed such a loyal following. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream on the East Side. Just be prepared to wait if you're stopping by on a nice evening. The shop is fairly small inside, and it's not uncommon for the line to stretch right out the front door. Thankfully, the staff keeps things moving, and the wait has always been worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ice cream and the generous portions. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it's mostly street parking, although there are a handful of spaces behind the building. Somehow we've been lucky the last few visits and managed to grab a spot right out front, even when there was a long line. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the small space and limited parking can make visiting during peak hours a little less convenient. Once you have your ice cream, though, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for fantastic homemade ice cream in Providence, Three Sisters absolutely deserves a visit.
