It was raining, I wanted dessert, but I wanted something new to me. I randomly found this place when doing a google search and based on their nearly perfect reviews, decided I had to give it a shot; I had a BIG FEELING I'd love it. It is located next to a school so traffic can be heavy depending on the time of day. I went around 5 pm and the weather wasn't great so not as much traffic and parking right in front. It is metered parking which is a downside but I believe there are side streets without the fee. I loved a lot of the details when I walked in such as the ice cream cone chairs along the wall, the art on the wall, the citrus colors all around, and a water station. The menu isn't very extensive, but | actually love this about them. Each flavor is very unique and when every flavor sounds and tastes good, a dozen options is perfectly fine. They also have it broken up into regular hard ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and sorbet. I couldn't decide on what I wanted but I was allowed to sample different ones before committing to one. They offer 4 different sizes: mini (golf ball scoop) - $4, scoop (baseball) -$6, half/half - $7, and double -$8. During my sampling session, I tried the horchata, thai tea, and dulce de leche. I ultimately opted for the dulce de leche because of its sweet, creamy, and intense caramel-like flavor. It almost tasted like a cold Werther's caramel melting in my mouth, so I needed more of it. However, I loved that the horchata had a strong cinnamon and vanilla presence with a hint of coconut since I do think the non-diary flavors are coconut milk based. The thai tea literally tasted like a frozen thai tea as it was milky but also the black tea undertone was there. I did not get to taste the london fog but I also heard it was a black tea flavor. Just based on internet pictures, it looks like the menu is constantly changing (some staple flavors don't seem to leave) and there are seasonal flavors. This motivates me to come back more often to see what treasures I come across. They had a few tables inside to enjoy your ice cream there. There were two people working so I did not wait much for my turn. They also do offer pints to go, but from what I could see only two flavors: cookies and cream and mango sticky rice. read more

First of all, their ice cream has a salty taste, which I've honestly never experienced before. Even the Hawaiian Vanilla Bean flavor tasted salty. That part comes down to personal preference... I can tolerate a taste I don't love. What I can't tolerate is bad service. The employee working on 5/25/26 was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. She acted annoyed whenever someone asked for samples and made customers feel like they were wasting her time. She handed over cups of ice cream without spoons or any explanation of where to find them. After running the register, she simply turned around and walked away before the payment even finished processing. Like I said, taste is subjective. How bad can ice cream really be, right? But poor service is something I don't overlook. I won't be returning to this place. In my opinion, 3 Sisters and Sacred Cow offer a much better overall experience. read more

They don't have many flavors to choose from. Parking is minimal. There was 3 ppl working and they had no sense of providing fast/efficient service. The employees knew the customers ahead of us personally so they felt it was appropriate to just chat with them and hold up the line. There was elderly people behind me so that irritated me a bit. What a treat! This place is a hidden gem in Providence. Not only are their flavors unique and delicious, but their customer service is equally as superb. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest young lady to have ever worked at an ice cream shop. Wish we had gotten her name. She offered to let us try ALL the flavors and talked us through the flavor profiles. She then snapped some shots of us with our ice cream cones seated on these cute little ice cream cone stools. We decided on mango sticky rice, strawberry lemon sorbet, and horchata. They were all delicious and we got them in a homemade waffle cone which was to die for as well. I love Big Feeling! Today was my second visit, and it's quickly becoming a favorite. They have an amazing variety of ice cream and sorbet flavors, including seasonal options made with locally sourced Rhode Island ingredients. I can be a little hesitant to try new flavors, but the staff is so friendly and always happy to offer samples, which makes deciding a lot easier. This time, I went with the Dulce de Leche, and it was incredible--the caramel was sooo good. They offer both dairy and non-dairy options, so there's something for everyone. Such a small store front but I feel like it fits this business perfectly . This is where you go for a GOOD scoop of ice cream . Went in on a whim and was surprised at the interesting flavors they had such as mango sticky rice ( which was amazing ) and tamarind fish sauce . We did try some samples before deciding which was super nice of the staff . I had a half and half serving of Dulce de Leche and strawberry ice cream on a cone . They are not expensive for the size scoop you get . Just the cone or cup options . They have pints of ice cream to go which I regret not grabbing . Discovering a hidden gem on Westminster Street! I've had the pleasure of enjoying the big feeling ice creams at Ceremony Coffee Shop before, where I tried the matcha and loved it. So, I was thrilled to check out their new storefront when it opened! The shop is charming, featuring two tables and a few seats. Went with a friend for an afternoon treat. Cute place right across from Classical HS. The owner is great and has perfected his product. As a lactose intolerant person, I liked that there were 5 nondairy flavors (and 7 or 8 dairy.) I enjoyed the horchata ice cream and you could not tell it had no milk. I liked Big Feeling before when they would do the weekly pint drops, but the store takes it to another level. The fact that I frequent this place at least twice a week says enough. I love how they rotate their flavors constantly and there are always surprises on the menu. The ingredients are super fresh and the consistency is perfect. My favorite is the London Fog, which is almost always a constant on the menu. The staff are also awesome and passionate about the ice cream. Firstly, the team at Big Feeling is really friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The ambience is also cozy, stylish with a retro vibe. Secondly, their flavors are so complex and delicate. They succeeded in some savory hints to flavors in ways that other fancy spots (in the same vein as salt and straw) have not succeeded at. Their satsuma evoo is refreshing, only slightly sweet (the highest praise you can get from an Asian customer) and with incredibly creamy texture despite being a sorbet. The Thai tea is also slightly salty, with undertones of toasted spices, and so thick that it melts quite slowly. I loved the ice cream so much that I had to take a pint with me home afterwards. Woah! The ice cream is divine! What a cool new hot spot for ice cream! They are super allergy friendly as well and have listed options for both dairy and non dairy. Many of the options are also gluten free. The person working the register was so patient and helpful and nice and helped me pick some delicious flavors. You should definitely get samples to decide what to get! The flavors seem to rotate but everything I tried was delicious - the London Fog, P.O.G., mango lime leaf, mango sticky rice, and horchata were all so good. There were so many more very cool original flavors as well, like Lemon Bar and Guava cheesecake. I just want to try them all! Apparently they have a happy hour on Wednesdays so it can get busy. And if you follow on social media, they do rare pint drops where you can snag a pint of the more rare flavors. Pre-made pints are $12 and the scoops range from $4-$8 depending on how much you get. The only thing to keep in mind is that parking can be challenging, and that it's across from Classical High School so it can be a bit traffic-y to get the during school pickup time on the weekdays. We tried the Mango Sticky Rice (slightly coconut-y, floral mango, delectable) and the Vanilla (fragrant and smooth as silk). The richness and quality of the ingredients makes tasting a true delight.
