It is National Pancake Day, well... the first one this year, here at IHOP.
    Jan-Michael T.

When I first ate at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) many years ago, I thought they were amazing. However, this was during the heyday of fast casual and full-service dining. These days, it can be a hit or miss as many are now working smarter instead of harder. True, this new worth ethic has further divided those struggling and those succeeding, but it is what it is, and it has affected the restaurant industry, too. Needless to say, there are IHOP locations that no longer hold up to the standards I remember it had back in the day. This is one of those IHOP locations, and I am saddened to say that if I had a choice between this IHOP and others, I would definitely drive the extra mileage to the others. First and foremost, I came in because it was National Pancacke Day, and patrons would get a free three-stack with their food. With the pancake situation covered, I had to order another plate because pancakes by themselves can't satisfy this big boy. Ergo, I got some eggs benedict. Apparently, they have many options for eggs benedict, but I chose the huevos rancheros version. Given the fact it was huevos rancheros, I expected plenty of flavor. Sadly, the huevos rancheros eggs benedict was kind of, well, lacking. The pancakes were good with the fruit syrup I got, but let's be honest. How hard is it to not mess up pancakes? I will admist my waiter was great and very kind. He did his best being the only waiter in the restaurant at the time, and I am thankful for him. Besides all that, this IHOP, which is connected with the Red Roof Inn, was underwhelming. The place was a little bit on the sticky side and needed an overhaul. As a restaurant, it serves a minute purpose but definitely lacks what the common restaurant should have on average. Maybe, just maybe, I will give them another chance, but in general, I would choose anywhere else to eat over eating at this IHOP again.

After a disastrous evening of scrambling to find a hotel when our reservations cancelled because of "emergency renovations", the last thing we needed to do was eat. With every restaurant nearby being closed, we settled for this IHOP. Only one large party was in there and it looks like they hadn't bussed tables in a while. The server apologized for the mess and said that they were busy and hadn't had time to clean up. She sat us on the cleaner side of the place and another server took over for her. I ordered a hot chocolate and while it was good, a lot of the mix was settled on the bottom. I mixed it up and kept on drinking it because I was frazzled and thirsty. I didn't intend on getting an omelette because it was so late, but my Mom said, "You'll be fine, it's just extra protein." Didn't take much convincing from her for me to cave in. I decided on the Spicy Poblano Omelette (fire-roasted poblano peppers, red peppers & onions, shredded beef, jack & cheddar cheese, avocado, poblano cream, serrano peppers) because it sounded amazing and I'd never thought IHOP would have something like this. My Mom had ordered the Big Steak Omelette (steak, hash browns, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheddar cheese) We both got a side a toast, her wheat, me sourdough. She didn't realize that her entree had hash browns in it and she doesn't like them. She picked out each and every shred, and still ate the omelette. I ate her hashbrowns leftovers. My omelette was good but I wish that more poblano peppers in it. It didn't tasty spicy at all and looked rather meh when it came out. The service was great and we didn't encounter any other issues. If I was in another pinch for food I'd come here again.

This location was very short handed, there were several dirty uncleared tables. Our waitress was running her legs off trying her best. There was a sign up that they are hiring. I had the classic burger and fries and it was prepared very well on a toasted bun, the lettuce and tomato was very fresh. The fries were not the best but were fresh. My husband had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and onion rings he said neither was wowing him and he left most of the onion rings. We both agreed the sweet tea was great but is maybe a ten ounce serving. IHOP seems to have changed their menu a lot since my last visit about four years ago, there are a lot of chicken strips and chicken sandwich items and everything seems like fast food items now. My burger and fries even said I could sub pancakes for the fries I read that twice lol

I know they are a budget chain but I have stayed in some nice motel 6s. Not so in Vero. worked late needed a shower and bed. $100 ok, Find the room has a common motel scent but not strong. Hit the shower no complementary dose of shampoo for a C note. TV dont work. Call front desk no answer ever. Ok I tired wow that firm wow that's a rock. I had to sleep along the headboard . It was to only piece of the mattress not spent. crazy loud, awakened repeatedly like people were in my room loud. Wake needing a bite IHOP right there Grits 2 eggs coffee smelly toast, or rancid spread. $13.52(without meat.) Thank you. Dont save a room your not acceptable ZERO Stars.

The Staff was under staffed they needed more help in the kitchen and waiting as well. I go to a lots of IHOPS around the U.S but this one cooked me raw pancakes, because they were understaffed and didn't have the help they needed. Overall I feel bad for the waiter, as she did not received the help she need while serving 12 tables.

Sour cream not good coffee tasted like soap won't be stopping here again on my way to Fort Lauderdale

Worth growing a beard for…read more Bearded Brothers Taphouse & Eatery has officially earned a spot on our "we'll definitely be back" list. Our group of four started with what they do best: craft beer. With around 20 beers on tap, there was no shortage of choices, and they even offer complimentary tastes if you're on the fence. The Summer Shandy was crisp and refreshing, while the Toasted Lager was smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. We sampled more than a few (ahem)... purely in the interest of scientific research, of course. Fortunately, there are still plenty left to try, so another visit is clearly required. The food was every bit as impressive. The Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and shaved Parmesan were outstanding. Even people who normally pass on Brussels sprouts would have a hard time leaving these alone. Personally, I like them a little crispier, but these were great. The Black & Bleu double smashburger was absolutely dynamite. Two perfectly seared patties, plenty of blue cheese, crispy bacon, and cooked exactly the way a great smashburger should be. My own bearded brother ordered the shrimp po' boy, and it was packed with large, perfectly cooked shrimp. We grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, just a stone's throw from New Orleans, where shrimp po' boys are practically a religion. This one passes the test. The bread was right, the shrimp were plentiful, and every bite reminded us of home. The flounder fish and chips deserves its own mention. The fish was flaky and moist, and the breading actually stayed attached to the fish instead of sliding off with the first bite, which anyone who appreciates good fried seafood knows is the mark of a properly prepared fillet. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Great beer selection. Excellent food. Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. If you're anywhere near Fort Pierce and enjoy quality craft beer paired with food that easily exceeds typical pub fare, Bearded Brothers should be on your list. We'll be back... partly to work our way through the remaining taps, and partly because we're still thinking about that shrimp po' boy. Highly recommended.

After a long day of preparation for Easter for 3 daughters we needed a moment for us, before the next days celebration. We had the back room to ourselves and it was just perfect. This historical restaurant is located right on the water - any closer and you'd be swimming. It's an old building full of history and fun stories on the menu of how it came to be. It's a special place and it's memorable. We've been several times for lunch and dinner throughout the years. This place has a beachy gift shop, a main waiting room with the hostess stand, an oceanfront indoor bar and lounge area, and the main dining room. For lunch, it's more laid back. The menu is sandwich-heavy but includes some non-sandwich items like fried shrimp plate, nova scotia scallops, and a special entree each day. It's a lot less busy for the most part during lunch in comparison to dinner. Dinner is a big to-do here. They open at 4pm for bar seating and to add your name to the dinner waitlist. If you want a table, especially one closer to the best view, you've gotta get there around 3:50-4 to get in line. They don't do reservations unless you're a larger party. You can then either leave and come back close to 5, or enjoy drinks at their bar if you're lucky enough to score seating. At dinner, the menu is definitely more extensive- featuring steaks, chops, and different fish/seafood specials. We love their prime rib, and the creamed spinach is perfect and old school. At lunch and dinner, don't miss out on their dessert tray presentation. The dessert tray has a lot of options - and it's a fun experience. Their bartenders are always nice and professional, and most importantly make a delicious cocktail. Cosmos, pear martinis, dirty martinis, all delicious each time we visit. Servers are also nice and professional too which lends to the charm of this old place! We had one bad scenario out of all of the times we visited regarding service from an assistant manager - but every other visit has been great! I love that they have GF options, like french onion soup made without the bread! On your way out, stop by the gift shop for even more goodies - their homemade blue cheese dip is not to miss! It's complementary at dinner, but honestly we like to buy extra for the house. They also sell dessert slices, and alcoholic beverages like rum runners, pain killers, margaritas, etc in two different sizes. Great to take to enjoy and walk down the beach!
