We had a long day of traveling. We booked the Red Roof Inn online the day before. When we arrived we didn't realize the IHOP was part of the hotel. After checking in and put our things in the room we went to the lobby and ate at IHOP. Everyone was super friendly. Tony was our server and did a great job!!! I ordered the BACON TEMPTATION with three pancakes. Both were delicious and cooked just right! With the omelette you can taste each ingredient (chopped hickory smoked bacon, tomato's, cheese My wife ordered Double Blueberry Pancakes. She also said they were delicious and cooked just right. When I first ate at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) many years ago, I thought they were amazing. However, this was during the heyday of fast casual and full-service dining. These days, it can be a hit or miss as many are now working smarter instead of harder. True, this new worth ethic has further divided those struggling and those succeeding, but it is what it is, and it has affected the restaurant industry, too. Needless to say, there are IHOP locations that no longer hold up to the standards I remember it had back in the day. This is one of those IHOP locations, and I am saddened to say that if I had a choice between this IHOP and others, I would definitely drive the extra mileage to the others. First and foremost, I came in because it was National Pancacke Day, and patrons would get a free three-stack with their food. With the pancake situation covered, I had to order another plate because pancakes by themselves can't satisfy this big boy. Ergo, I got some eggs benedict. Apparently, they have many options for eggs benedict, but I chose the huevos rancheros version. Given the fact it was huevos rancheros, I expected plenty of flavor. Sadly, the huevos rancheros eggs benedict was kind of, well, lacking. The pancakes were good with the fruit syrup I got, but let's be honest. How hard is it to not mess up pancakes? I will admist my waiter was great and very kind. He did his best being the only waiter in the restaurant at the time, and I am thankful for him. Besides all that, this IHOP, which is connected with the Red Roof Inn, was underwhelming. The place was a little bit on the sticky side and needed an overhaul. As a restaurant, it serves a minute purpose but definitely lacks what the common restaurant should have on average. Maybe, just maybe, I will give them another chance, but in general, I would choose anywhere else to eat over eating at this IHOP again. read more

A disappointment to eat here I ordered the tbone and when it got to the table and tried it, it was horrible dry, colorless and stiff as if I had waited all day to serve it to someone of course I returned it and only ate the broccoli and the small amount of fries that came with the dish and a...plus a couple of extra pieces of broccoli, they knocked $7.50 off the price of the meat, but then I paid $12.50 for the broccoli and fries. I don't know what kind of math they're doing, but I certainly don't think that's worth more than the T-bone steak. Remember when the pancakes were light and fluffy and delicious at IHop? This location was an utter disappointment. The pancakes were like a rubber sponge I couldn't cut thru the stack with a fork. I ordered a side of sausage but was told after being served the rubber-like pancakes "the sausage will be right up." Some people like to eat their pancakes and sausage at the same time. At first, I was a little concerned when we stopped here because there was only one other patron in the restaurant. However, I am so happy we ate here. The restaurant was very clean. The server, Bobbi, was personable, yet professional. She brought a smile every time she came to the table. Now for the food : I'm particular about my eggs. I want them soft scrambled, and getting them just right is hit or miss. Travis, the cook, hit it right out of the park! These were the best I've ever had! He takes pride in the meals he sends out to the guests. Everything on my plate was delicious! My husband echoed my praise of this place, as well. They are trying to turn the business around. After a disastrous evening of scrambling to find a hotel when our reservations cancelled because of "emergency renovations", the last thing we needed to do was eat. With every restaurant nearby being closed, we settled for this IHOP. Only one large party was in there and it looks like they hadn't bussed tables in a while. The server apologized for the mess and said that they were busy and hadn't had time to clean up. She sat us on the cleaner side of the place and another server took over for her. I ordered a hot chocolate and while it was good, a lot of the mix was settled on the bottom. I mixed it up and kept on drinking it because I was frazzled and thirsty. I didn't intend on getting an omelette because it was so late, but my Mom said, "You'll be fine, it's just extra protein." Didn't take much convincing from her for me to cave in. I decided on the Spicy Poblano Omelette (fire-roasted poblano peppers, red peppers & onions, shredded beef, jack & cheddar cheese, avocado, poblano cream, serrano peppers) because it sounded amazing and I'd never thought IHOP would have something like this. My Mom had ordered the Big Steak Omelette (steak, hash browns, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheddar cheese) We both got a side a toast, her wheat, me sourdough. She didn't realize that her entree had hash browns in it and she doesn't like them. She picked out each and every shred, and still ate the omelette. I ate her hashbrowns leftovers. My omelette was good but I wish that more poblano peppers in it. It didn't tasty spicy at all and looked rather meh when it came out. The service was great and we didn't encounter any other issues. This location was very short handed, there were several dirty uncleared tables. Our waitress was running her legs off trying her best. There was a sign up that they are hiring. I had the classic burger and fries and it was prepared very well on a toasted bun, the lettuce and tomato was very fresh. The fries were not the best but were fresh. My husband had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and onion rings he said neither was wowing him and he left most of the onion rings. We both agreed the sweet tea was great but is maybe a ten ounce serving. IHOP seems to have changed their menu a lot since my last visit about four years ago, there are a lot of chicken strips and chicken sandwich items and everything seems like fast food items now. Early morning visit, it was quiet and cozy. The service was good and so was my breakfast. This particular IHOP was directly connected to small hotel. In order to use the restroom you had to exit the restaurant and used a restroom shared with the hotel. I forgot the name of the hotel. Not a place l would stay at, the hotel needs a much needed make over and the restroom was a little spooky. There was plenty if hot water, soap and paper towels available for use. One thing l do like about IHOP is that they have breakfast, lunch and dinner specials for the 55 plus crowd. The menu is limited, but not bad. If you are just passing by and you want a nice quick hot meal, check them out. read more

Hit the shower no complementary dose of shampoo for a C note. TV dont work. Call front desk no answer ever. Ok I tired wow that firm wow that's a rock. I had to sleep along the headboard . If you make it past the stench of old, moldy, dirty, rotting carpet, you're greeted by the worst wait staff imaginable . Don't go to the bathroom because the hallway is through the foyer with the old, moldy, dirty, rotting carpet. The cleanliness in bathroom was just ok. BUT we were tired and hungry. I have two stars because the food was pretty tasty. My husband had an omelette and had very fresh ingredients! My scrambled eggs with cheese, avocado and salsa was very tasty! And bonus, the pancakes were sooooo yummy! But it may have been because we were so hungry! Our waitress never really warmed up. All the wait staff seemed to be just going through the motions. Unfortunately, you have to drive toward the beach to reach a Panera or other options. This was the best choice for breakfast. My wife and I just went to IHOP last night for dinner. Our waitress, Shaiann, was very nice and effiecient. We enjoyed our food and conversation with the waitress and the manager. The ambience and decor in the restaurant was very warming and family oriented and comfortable. Will definatly return for another visit. OMG!! This location needs help husband and I went there today May 28,23 at 10am waited for over 20 minutes to be seated . Greeter was rude only two waitresses . Kept saying to us will be there in a minute continued to wait on tables that were already served. Chatting with another customer while we were still waiting. Finally was seated waited again had to ask for coffee etc finally came. Took our order waited again over 30 minutes for food. In the meantime people were coming in and were turned away they said there will be 30 minute wait. They lost over 25 customers I counted I wanted to jump in and seat them I felt so bad. There was no reason why these people couldn't be seated. The 80 yr old busser they hired useless food on the floor tables half cleaned . WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING . My husband and I go out out a lot for breakfast. We rely on customer service and good food. Tried to go on a Sunday Morning after church. It was pretty full. We were a group of 10 and I understand that's a large group but the server came and asked us our number, we said 10 and she looked annoyed and said I can't help you then. She didn't ask if we were willing to split up or try to offer any solutions. She said I don't know how long it will be. She had no hospitality and appeared to hate her job. A guy at a table looked at us and said " even after you wait to get a table you will still be waiting more.. we've been sitting here 20 minutes with a menu". I ordered from their website; when I arrived at the restaurant at the scheduled time to pick up my order, the counter person said they had "no record" of my order, despite me showing her the email confirmation of not only my order, but the pick up time. Not only did I not receive my food, IHOP had the audacity to charge my credit card (I had to provide this to order from their website) for the order they neglected to fill. I went here with a large group of adults and children who sat at three different tables and I must say the waitress did an excellent job of keep our checks straight. The food was about the same as any other IHOP. One person we were with said "The ribs sucked" and I was like "Why the hell you ordering ribs at IHOP, what do you expect?". Maybe I visited on a very good day but both the food and service was excellent. Way above my expectations. I split two entrees the turkey avacodo bacon wrap and the a spicy Pablano omlet. Both were fresh and tasty. The hash browns were the star of the show, just the right amount of crispness. The portions were also very reasonable. Lunch for two under 20, can't beat it. We stopped at this IHOP on a road trip. The restaurant was clean, service good and the food, as always, delish. But my review is about none of that. You see, my Mom recently passed and she was the IHOP Queen. She just loved it..even had her own IHOP Facebook following! It was the first IHOP I had visited since her passing and going there really had special meaning. I got talking to the GM, Jerry Vestuto and I was telling him about my Mom and her love of IHOP. He was so sweet and listened to every story I told him about my Mom. He gave me a IHOP mug to take with me, along with a big hug, as a remembrance to honor my Mom. So you see..great service and great food is always welcome, but when the people who serve you take care of you on a personel level, well THAT is what makes this IHOP special. This IHOP is not in my area, and it is about 1 hour and 1/2 away, but I will guarantee I WILL stop there on all my road trips. Thank you Mr. Vestuto. Thank you IHOP.
