My family's first time visiting Florida and here is what I have to say about this place. I had an extremely disappointing experience at IHOP. We waited nearly 2 hours for our food, which is completely unacceptable. Throughout the wait, the servers repeatedly forgot what we ordered and mixed up our meals, causing even more delays and frustration. To make matters worse, we were told several times that our food would be ready in "30 minutes," but each time that turned out to be untrue. We were left waiting with little communication and no real explanation for the delay. The poor organization, lack of attention to our order, and repeated false estimates made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I understand restaurants can get busy, but customers deserve honest communication and accurate service. I left feeling very disappointed and frustrated. I hope IHOP takes steps to improve its customer service, communication, and overall efficiency so other customers don't have the same experience. As we arrived, the entire front staff were fighting as we waited, and we're ignored. Once we were brought to the table there was a horrible sour smell. The table was still wet from which they had wiped it down with a wet towel. When we told our waitress she came with a napkin and only wiped half the table. She had used a dirty bad sour smelling towel to clean the table. We ended up walking out of the restaurant the smell was so bad. We were a party of six. I'm writing this review because we are in the restaurant business and I would want to know if that happened in my restaurant. If my employees were that negligent. I am very impressed to see they have a bar for people who want to sit there as opposed to the booths. The only thing I did notice is that the ac was a little high because it felt a bit warm there but not too much. It's Saturday August 14 at 9:10am The staff who greets you and take your order. Which was an older lady. She was not welcoming. I had a question about an order online and she keeps cutting me off and won't listen. I ask for a manager and instead of getting him right away, she said he was going to tell me the same thing. The supervisor on duty didn't want to see what the issue was. I saw him and he stay back for awhile, until I said back to the staff "what he doesn't want to come up here." What a great experience. I am not sure what changed based on the other reviews, however I was in Orlando for a conference, decided to eat here. We were served promptly, waitress advised that four pieces of French toast were too much, as they are "fluffy". She was right. Now for the best- while awaiting food to arrive, we got to be entertained by the lead cook. His name was Boku. I asked. Sounded like a southern Tom waites and his banter on everything was amazing. I don't think he realized how much his voice carried, but after a meal I had to meet him. I told him he was my spirit animal and to never change, as I don't know many people who are like myself. The food was amazing, the atmosphere great. Make sure to say hi to the man boku if you go, and as you leave say hi to the man knelling in the street rubbing his stomach and giving sad puppy eyes. I was seated at the counter which was a front row seat to all the chaos going on. Waiters and chefs were arguing with one another right in front of me! I also sat there and watched tables seated after me receive their food before me and once my food came there were multiple things wrong with it. For example, I asked for scrambled eggs and got them over easy and I asked for triple chocolate chip pancakes and got plain ones. Unfortunately this IHOP has a terrible server that I've been to. I gave it 2 just because the pancakes were delicious. Our server Sulyeka ( I hope I spelled it right ) was terrible. She never came to refill our waters or coffee to start with. There was 4 of us that came to eat and she brings 3 sets of silverware. I'm thinking she'll bring the other one but it took for our food to come before we have to tell her we need an extra. I stuffed myself (I do feel guilty - but just a little). Everything was cooked properly, and I must say, the pancakes were very good, they were both light and fluffy The restaurant was clean and there were no dirty tables left uncleared. Even the syrup containers on the table was not sticky, and they were full. The service was a little laid back but our server was attentive and thorough. The food, as noted, was well prepared and tasty. The only thing that was not good was the noise from the kitchen, it was excessive considering the place was very slow, but I can live with that. Met up with some friends at this IHOP location. When I arrived late Sunday morning this place was very busy. We were in need of a table for five. We waited just a few minutes and were promptly seated. A waiter came by and greeted us, and brought everybody water. I had ordered a Philly steak sandwich. I should have known better. It was just OK. One of the people we were with had cupcake cakes, which looked amazing. Just the thought of all that sugar made me cringe.
