Stopped by Miller's Ale House while in town and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service! I ordered the Blackened Chicken BLT, subbing fries for a house salad with ranch, and split an order of mozzarella sticks with my mom. First off, the mozzarella sticks were a win! They came out hot, super stretchy, and packed with cheesy goodness. And we got eight of them, which felt like a great deal! The BLT was thick, juicy, and flavorful, though I personally would have preferred thinner bread,but honestly, that's just me being picky, not a dealbreaker at all. The house salad impressed me! It was fresh, generously portioned for a side salad, and I loved that the tomatoes and cucumbers were diced small instead of giant chunks, so much easier to eat! The service was excellent, and despite it being a Saturday at 2 PM, the place wasn't packed like I expected (compared to the one in my city). I had the shrimp scampi pasta bake, wow enough for 2 meals rest will be dinner tonight. Prime rib Thursdays & Sundays are the days to go! I love Millers daily specials; they're such great value! The prime rib comes drenched with the au jus and with a side. This time I ordered the scampi bake with chicken. Good portion but it tastes very similar to a chicken Alfredo. I'll try the shrimp scampi next time. I got the candied bacon add-on. The ends were burnt and it was only ok. Glad I tried it though. I didn't have room for dessert but I can't wait to try the Ghirardelli chocolate brownie sundae next time. Stopped by for a celebratory drink with friends while waiting on an oil change. It was pretty empty inside, but close to 4PM so it may have been in the lull between lunch and dinner. We sat at the bar and was greeted by a bartender who started taking our drink order, while one of my friends was discussing her options, he shouted to another employee who just came in for her shift to grab our order. Both went back and forth about how the other could provide service giving the illusion that neither really wanted to serve us. The first bartender completed our order but only after complaining about the other employee. He also spent time mentioning how his shift was ending so he "assumed it would be better for her to take [us]." I understand people may not always get along with their coworkers, but if you're going to have a dispute it's bad form to do it in front of the guests. Miller's tends to be a pretty good place to hangout, but this experience was incredibly off putting and perhaps the worst service I've had in quite a while. With all of the options in the area, I'd recommend picking somewhere else. read more

Great variety and the daily specials are a great value. We got salads, wings, burgers and dessert. The only things was it took quite a bit of time for any food to arrive, even the drinks were a bit extended. All else was solid. Second time in a row we all received Cold food. Yesterday, my dad got a mountain melt, my mom and I both got chicken BLTs. Everything was cold. We sent our feedback. When we received our sandwiches back, they were still pretty much cold warmed up slightly. My dad did come back hot. We hadn't been to a really long time because the last time we went there were four of us and we all got cold food. three of us got Philly cheesesteaks they were all just slightly different. When they came back, we were given the same cheesesteaks only I was given Mike's. Mike was given my mom's and my mom got nothing. At this point, we were really irritated and asked to talk to the manager, and he just made all kinds of excuses. Server and everybody else had put their fingers all over Mikes food. We should've been given sandwiches at that point. Explain the situation to the manager and told him how upset we were and he just looked at us. I asked him what he was gonna do for us and his words were and I quote next time you come in ask for me and I'll make sure you get hot food. no compensation for waiting for like an hour for food that came back cold and not even given the correct food. It was just insane. That's why we hadn't been in months. We will not be back to this location. Next time we'll try Hunter Creek location and see if that's any better although sometimes that was hit and miss too, but not as bad as this. read more

The rundown- at this location, seating is limited due to staffing (understandable!) but the food (reason for going) is not very appetizing. The review- Attempted to go to this location when in the area for a weekend event (convenience, hours) the other night but the wait was too long. Tried again and this time it was more reasonable so gave it a go. The staff you could tell were stretched and they had sections closed, with staffing shortages it's understandable! But despite the situation they were doing their best to keep in good spirits. Our server was very attentive and friendly every time came buy. After being seated we ordered and food came promptly. We went with mostly appetizers (nachos, calimari, zingers) and desserts. This is where things started to go south. The food unfortunately was not great and was like being overcooked without the overcooking - perhaps under heat lamp for too long? Which was kind of odd since it did come in a pretty fast time frame. The desserts were the only items that were up to par- pull apart donuts being the highlight. A perfect crisp outside with soft inside. Captain Jack's was Captain Jack's, meeting its always solid choice. Being that the main food items were oddly not prepared well, I can't really recommend this location at this time. It might be worth trying when staffing is back up to speed, but at same time the kitchen did not seem backed up and was keeping pace with the tables (again, they had sectioned off areas to limit seating and not overwhelm the team) so I'm not entirely sure what was going on there. Additionally, the plates brought for the appetizers the wash machine had not fully washed and had to be cleaned off, paired with bathrooms seeming like they had not been attended to in a while I think they could have actually closed off a few more tables to allow the staff the ability to not be running around given how the night seemed to be going for them so that things could be focused on more in all areas. read more

I went here with a few of my clients from my job. To be honest with you what I ordered was the creole mahi and shrimp, I was told it was new, so I decided to try it. And I'm glad I did the entire meal was like a version of a New Orleans shrimp andouille/ gumbo like meal. so flavorful My client didn't say much about their meal, so I decided to take a piece and taste for myself. I cannot lie it was actually quite flavorful. It was a crowd favorite on the menu so that's why I decided to order it for them. I don't really see what the onion rings do for the meal. He doesn't quite complement the mashed potatoes nor the meatloaf. I will probably just substitute that out for something else. Miller's Ale House has certainly created an empire for themselves and they work both as a place to grab a quick drink or you can grab a meal, or you can actually grab both and make it quite the party. For food, think bar food, but bar food done pretty good. Zingers Mountain Melt is a great option. There is something to be said about bar food. It is certainly not healthy, but it is good for the soul when your soul is seeking to walk a bit on the wild side. Love ale house normally. Came here on a quiet evening after Universal. Arrived at 10:00PM. It was pretty empty inside. Maybe 5 tables occupied. Ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down. Our order was simple. 2 orders of zingers, mozzarella sticks, a flat bread, a side salad and a kids meal. The food seriously took over an hour to arrive. And it didn't come all at once. Our kid didn't get her kids meal until over an hour after we ordered. Our server was friendly but horribly inefficient. Despite being there for well over an hour, we only got refills on our drinks once - after we asked. He walked by our table empty handed multiple times without checking on us. After finishing our food and waiting over 20 minutes, we finally had to ask for our check. We didn't get out of there until 11:40. That's ridiculous for a slow Monday night. This is an interesting location located just outside of the Florida Mall. We have gone here a few times and the food is always good and the service is always friendly. On this particular occasion we sat at a high top that was right by the bar. From what my understanding was the group of gentlemen sitting at the bar were fairly much regulars during the week during the lunch time hours. They were busy watching a football game and having some drinks. A couple of them were fairly well along the way as well as a parent from their speech and when a couple of them got up to use the restroom. I don't think I would have minded at all if not for the language that they freely used very loudly. If I had been there with a small child I would have been very unhappy. As it was it kind of brought the meal down a little bit. This was apparently a precursor to show me what my day was going to be like. I will definitely go here to eat again. Came here for a Sunday brunch after leaving church with my family to try out an old place after moving back in town and I can most certainly say I'll be coming back to this location! First of all the food was very delicious for the price of the meal, the stars of our order were the chicken quesadilla and the mimis fiesta bowl, both recommended by our server Chris. The food came out fairly quickly, about 13-15 minutes so nothing too crazy, and let me tell you the smell of the food being brought out was incredible. Our server Chris was also very polite and welcoming, when he noticed our little ones didn't have a kids menu after greeting us he apologized immediately and went to go grab some. It took over 1.5 hours to get food, appetizer people ordered didn't come out( one being a soup and another being a salad) and the meals were not hot. The service was lovely. Our food was not. We were quoted a 20 minute wait time which was pretty accurate. I've been to a few Ale House locations and I normally get their fries, but all their fries tasted off. Like they were overcooked, but not burnt. Or maybe stale? One of my friends I was with said it tasted like it was under a heat lamp too long, but the food came out relatively quick so I don't see how it had time to sit. The zingers on top of our mountain melt were not bad as well as the chicken nachos we ordered. We came here last night at around 8:30 and we saw it was about 60% full with a bartender and 3 servers. We were originally sat in a crowded section but asked to be moved to a high top. Took a few minutes and once we were sat I see why they were reluctant to move us. The section was definitely closed and away from where the rest of the servers tables were. If I was the person seating us I would have just suggested sitting at the bar. The service there looked great. Our server greeted us and he immediately said he had to make his rounds to his other tables before even introducing or getting our drink order. After a few minutes he got our drinks and we put in our order. An order of onion rings and two mountain melts. That's it. It took nearly an hour for us to get our onion rings and we saw our server one time. 15 minutes later we got our food. We needed drink refills and he said he would be right back with them. We never saw him until I had to hunt down for to go boxes and the check. He didn't apologize for not coming over and he looked completely overwhelmed. We saw the manager as many times as our server checked in overall - once. The only saving grace was the food. The food tasted great and was fresh and hot and that's about it on the positives. The restaurant was clean and definitely not filthy. This was on a Tuesday night at 8:30 and we didn't leave until close to 10:30. No reason to be at a restaurant like millers for a party of 2 close to 2 hours. Like I said the food was great but overall it not worth the $70 including tip. Because of the food I'm giving this 2 stars. My first time to this location was not great. I know everywhere is short staffed and I'm hoping this was a one off occurrence but I saw a similar review to mine recently on a weeknight.
