Was driving around with the family and decided on break for dinner. What better place to have it than IHoP. We visited on. Saturday evening and was seated with no problem. Restaurant was very clean and had the choice of seating. Our server was quick to get our drink order and give us time to review the menu. It's been a while since visiting and was overwhelmed with all the breakfast options IHoP has. Food was received quickly and everything was delicious. I will say the staff is very friendly and did check up on us frequently. Great experience and bit to the pancakes hit the spot. Next time we're on the area I may swing by another visit. read more

We came in for national pancake day. When we got there, they told us there was a 15 minute late. We ended up waiting 30 minutes. It took us about 10 minutes to get greeted after we were seated. My daughter found a hair in her butter that was in her pancake and we had asked for a new one. They didn't put a rush on it. They didn't offer anything. My husband and I visited IHOP for breakfast on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Our server, Latoya, provided great service initially. However, the situation changed when it was time to pay. I was using the Upside app for payment and showed her my phone. Without asking, she took my phone from my hand and walked away to process the payment. I frequently use this app at other restaurants, and no one has ever walked away with my phone--typically, staff will write down the necessary information instead. This happened so quickly that I did not have the chance to stop her. While I could see her the entire time, I was extremely uncomfortable, as my phone was unlocked and contains private personal information. When she returned, I calmly and politely explained that she should not walk away with customers' phones. She responded by saying that I had handed it to her, which is incorrect--I was only showing it to her. When I clarified that, she became visibly irritated, mumbled something under her breath, and walked away to another table. While at that table, she told another customer that I had had an attitude since I walked in. This was untrue--we had been friendly and even joked with her earlier about the coffee. It was clear to me that she was upset because I corrected her for taking my phone. At that point, I removed the $5 tip I had left on the table and began looking for smaller bills to leave a reduced tip instead. She then returned to our table and created a scene. In a loud and confrontational manner, she told me to take my tip because she did not want it. Her tone was very rude, and the situation escalated, with me responding in kind. I asked for her name, and she refused to provide it, instead asking for mine. I then looked at the receipt and stated her name aloud, which further upset her. As my husband and I were leaving the table, she directed an offensive remark toward me, telling me to "take my nappy hair and go." She then followed me into the lobby area, continuing to loudly make rude comments. At that point, I became angry and did use a couple of foul words in response. I felt threatened, and in those situations, I go into a defensive mode. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at this location. We have been regular customers, visiting 2-3 times per week, but due to this incident, we will not be returning. read more

Like I love breakfast for dinner! So I stopped in yesterday. The manager spoiled me rotten. I will start coming to this location often. I requested my meats well done and yes lord that's what I got. I'm so smitten with this location I may bring my circle of friends. I give five stars. Oh I almost forgot my milk on ice was perfect. Seems to have had another management turnover. We were in there on a weeknight and it was pretty dead. We had great service, very attentive and the also took care of my request to make the omelets without the added pancake batter. (Yes, they do that). Even though we were there in the evening, I have learned after a couple of experiences to not order anything besides breakfast food at IHOP. Trust don't seem to do dinner very well. We did have their new breakfast bowls, which is basically an omelet in a bowl, and there were great. They seem to be a bit smaller than the huge omelets and do not get served with the side of pancakes(which nobody needs...). Clean, and good service, we will be back for sure. read more

She got her usual Harvest Grain n' Nut pancake combo and eggs, with an English muffin on the side. I went for my usual chicken and waffles. Before our meals arrived, I was sipping on my mug of hot chocolate, with whipped cream, of course, and happened to notice a HUGE whisk when the kitchen door swung open. Then I saw a huge mixing bowl and literal buckets of pancake batter. It was pretty neat to get a glimpse "behind the curtain". If you're stuck on what to get, try any omelette. Pretty bland and unpleasant vibe from the hostess. Maybe she was tired. Not the end of the world. I wanted a less secluded table, but we were seated in a booth that just seemed so closed off. Our witress was polite, but not very attentive. We asked for coffees and water's. She never did get the waters. We tried to remind her 3 times. Coffee refills were lacking, but at least the coffee was decent and hot. So, for food... My mom got biscuit and gravy. It was not even warm. Seemed very salty. She got hashbrowns that were basically raw. My omelet was supposed to be an egg white, but they gave me a huge one that was not the right egg, nor was it the correct filling. Supposed to be veggie. Experienced the most rude behaviour ever from a waitress at this location. When trying to explain that I'd like my french toast replaced with a piece that was cooked in the middle the waitress put her hands on her hips and said "I didn't cook it". Not being smart, mad or mean with her I responded that I realized that. This waitress got right up in my face and said "I'll get the manager". iHop has the best pancakes around! I visit this O'Fallon location once a week for over four years. Typically we come for breakfast. I get the 2x2x2 or the create your own omelet, and it comes with pancakes. The omelet is absolutley huge. I have only finished once. I love there orange juice. Not sure if they have a special brew or not. The coffee is always good with a little pot on the table for self serve. The manager is very polite and friendly on Saturday mornings. The wait staff are all great. Fast friendly service by all who have waited on me. My food order has always come up it seems like minutes. I did try one of the iHob burgers. I think there was too much hype around it. I found it good, but was expecting the moon I guess. My wife loves the chicken fried steak when we go in the evening. read more

I was pretty disappointed. We got our food curbside. My mom's fries were absolutely cold. We only live 10 minutes from the restaurant. My cowboy burger (with chicken instead of a burger) was good, but the amount of sauce on it was laughable there was a single dot of sauce. A single dot. Onion rings were good, but they didn't include any ketchup that we asked for. My mom got a burger with bacon. She liked it. The bun was soft and good. My brother got the jalapeño burger. This guy eats everything. And he didn't finish the burger. The patty was flavorless. And even with jalapeños, it was still not really tasting like anything. Again, with the sauce, or lack thereof. Had a horrible experience with our waitress Chelsea. She made the entire table extremely uncomfortable with her actions. When I called to report it to a manager, I was told that the supervisor was not there but they would contact me soon. Several days later I had a voicemail from Melissa Jackson to which I immediately contacted back and had to leave a voicemail because she did not answer. I was then never contacted again and I'm assuming they had hoped I would drop the issue. We used to go there all the time. They had a manager that was very nice and payed attention to the customer, but they changed. Our last experience there was very frustrating, We sat down and took almost 10 mins for the waitress to come talk to us, we ordered water and orange juice, it took over ten minutes for her to bring to us, as soon as she did we ordered the food. I order a cheeseburger and my wife ordered French toast. 40 mins later I got up and went to talk to the manager, the guy couldn't care less that we were waiting for over a hour for our breakfast. I handle him my card so he could charge me for the orange juice he took my card charged me for $3 bucks and we left. I couldn't believe that he actually charged me. Never going back again. Brought the family here for breakfast. The food was ok but we could not get over the filth of place. The syrup containers were broke causing them to dump all syrup at once. The coffee pot was so old and falling apart that it left coffee rings on the table from leaking. My menu had pages stuck together. My daughter found a fork in crack of the booth and we she pulled it out there was what I assume was dried ketchup. The ceiling tiles were every shade of yellow you could imagine.
