We went this morning hoping to start our day with a good breakfast, but unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. I ordered the Breakfast Sampler and honestly it was a 2/10. The bacon had a funky taste, the hash browns tasted like they were cooked in old grease, and the ham didn't seem properly cooked and had an odd taste as well. I took about three bites and left the rest of the plate. The pancakes were actually decent, which was the only good part of that meal. We also ordered a classic burger and a jalapeño burger. Both were okay, around a 6/10. They definitely needed more flavor, and unfortunately the bacon in those also tasted off. Another order at our table was the chicken and pancakes, which were just okay. I mean, there's not much you can mess up with chicken tenders. What really made the experience worse was the service. Our waiter never came back to check on us, and the place only had about five tables, so it wasn't busy. When he finally dropped off the check, I told him about my food and he made a face. I pointed out that he could clearly see I barely touched the plate. He eventually removed the $18 sampler from the bill. Overall, we left feeling dissatisfied. First time in (since it's opened in this area) and had been looking forward to it. Walked in a d stood for about 5 minutes with no staff member appearing to be watching the front. We got a glimpse of someone, and while they had to have seen us there (or should have been trained to be watching), she turned and went back to wherever she had come from. Two people seated in the front (as if also waiting) and observing that nobody was assisting. My husband recommended we leave and so now we're enjoying a wonderful breakfast at Elmer's where we were greeted immediately, sat, and served quickly and with friendly staff. We've been to IHop in Medford several times, receiving nothing but excellent service. Both times we were greeted by a very friendly young man, named Jordan. He has great PR and is a delight to chat with. He is a hard worker that not only greets and seats guests, he busses tables as well. He is always busy doing something when he's not greeting and seating guests. We had great servers both times but Jordan really stands out above them all. I tried this restaurant last year and, then again, last week. It has only gotten worse. Whoever oversees I-Hops should visit this site. The service is excessively slow (i.e., greater than 15 minutes to receive a menu and over 20 minutes to get my order). The waitress was so stressed out that I had to ask someone else for napkins. The booths are embarrassing, e.g., leather broken open and taped closed. Very, very unimpressive. I don't know why anyone would want to work there. My wife and I felt like eating breakfast so we stopped at the Medford IHOP. It was just average at best, I do not recommend this restaurant. The food was served lukewarm and the pancakes are thin and smaller than a saucer plate and the prices are pretty high considering what you get. We came in around 8pm on Saturday and there was only one server, who was already serving other tables. I almost decided to leave because I assumed the wait would be a while. Been here twice since i moved to Medford, first time was awesome, everyone was nice and food was good; but after the second time i dont know if i will go back again. Waiters got our food wrong multiple times for everyone in our party and were cussing at us for asking to get it fixed and they were higher than a kite. I had a great experience at this location. Arrived about 11:30 for lunch with my dad. We had to wait about five minutes before being seated. Our waiter seemed busy; however, he took our order, delivered the food and checked with us several times through our visit. My dad's sandwich accidentally had avocado on it which the server apologized for when he realized the error. He offered to remake the sandwich, but he was fine just removing it.
