Okay, I wasn't expecting much from IHOP and they delivered exactly that. The scrambled eggs are definitely not real. From my experience here I have now learned to ask at other restaurants if the eggs are real and do they come in a shell that you have to crack open. I don't know who invented imitation eggs but they are gross and I can only imagine what's in them. The service was lousy - extremely slow and they weren't even busy. Food quality has gone down over the last year. Service over several visits was friendly, but extremely slow - talking 2 hours from start to finish for a party of 4. Busy or not, hire more staff. Front desk people are rude, and won't let you pay up front when your waiter doesn't come over with the check - they told us to wait at the table for it. We won't be back. read more

First, maybe have some answer the phones? Nothing like calling 4 or 5 times to put in an order and have no one answer. Upon arriving there to put in my take-out order, I left to run errands and came back. Not only was the total wait for the food 45 minutes, but there is just no sense of urgency there. "Did you go back to check on his food" "No that's not my job, you do it". How hard is it to simply go back to the kitchen to check on it? Lastly, after forgetting a side dish, they proceeded to make the wrong order on it. Poorly run branch of IHOP. All the staff should be fired. This branch is 2 mins drive from my home but I drive all the way to another town half hour away for breakfast. Staff here is so careless and often just talk and goof between themselves instead of attending to customers. It's a shame and hope IHOP does something about it. read more

Great lunch service. Almost every time we come to this restaurant Karen is our waitress. She is always attentive and professional. Whether the restaurant is full or empty she is always busy work. She seems to have great work ethic. Our food was delicious. The only complaint I have is with Corporate or the powers that be is removing Boysenberry Syrup from the available choices. I frequent this restaurant for pancakes mostly because they were the only restaurant to carry this type of syrup. No other complaints, Food and Service are always ery good. read more

I love IHOP and had high hopes for this location. Manchester is so much closer to where I live, and I was so happy when an IHOP opened up nearer to me. Family and I arrived around 3 PM, and the place wasn't busy at all. We were seated by a hostess and a lovely waitress took our drink and meal orders. I ordered a Splashberry Splasher for my drink (a whole strawberry, Sierra Mist, and orange juice), and it was fantastic. Sadly, that's where my happiness ended. I had ordered the New York Cheesecake pancakes with hashbrowns, eggs cooked over well, and sausage. Our food arrived quickly...but my entire meal was missing. Strangely, we got two extra sides of buttermilk pancakes...the poor waitress apologized profusely and went to go check in the kitchen. Apparently, they'd forgotten to make my meal, so I sat there and watched my family eat while they made my food. So the waitress came back ten minutes later with a giant stack of the pancakes I asked for, saying I got extra because of the mix up. She offered to split them onto two separate plates and took them back into the kitchen. Another waitress brought them back out....only 2, instead of the 4 I'd received. Finally got the rest of my meal...the eggs were runny instead of cooked all the way through. Our waitress kindly explained that at IHOP, what I meant to ask for was 'over hard.' Weird, because every other time in my life that I ordered my eggs over well, they were full cooked through. The waitress apologized profusely once more after all of this went down and offered to comp my meal. That was highly appreciated. I felt really bad for her, because she was completely frustrated by the kitchen's constant mix-ups. I have no idea who was cooking that day, but apparently they don't know how to read tickets. Overall, I was highly, highly disappointed by this location. Expected way more from a great chain. The Bloomfield location will be the only IHOP I frequent from now on. read more

This is my very first negative review. Ironical, since, my first review in Yelp was for IHOP in Bloomfield location and yes it was a very positive experience. Firstly, everything was a tad dirty. Table, plates, spoons, even my child's high chair. Then came my daughter's burnt chocolate chip pancake, where one of the eyes of the whipped cream smiley face had fallen out. I mean really? I do it at home. How can a professionally run restaurant not do it perfectly? Thirdly, The seating lady was rude. My waitress was ok. The food was Just OKish. Finally, The bill was messed up. Had to go to the counter and get it corrected. Just not worth it people. Go to another location to try IHOP. I never get this upset, and have never ever given a bad review. You don't have to do fine dining everyday. When you have three young children, as I do, you can't. They don't eat the fine stuff. But they will eat here. This is one of the newest IHOPs, so it's clean. The staff is very friendly. It is what it is. The food is consistent and you can get as much coffee as you can drink. As someone who has a coffee drinking problem, it helps. One of the things thats great about IHOP is that they always have coupons in in the paper. read more

There's something about going out to eat these days (pandemic) that irritates the hell out of me!!! The wait time before you order and then the excessive wait time for your food. It gets better, it's not even a steak house. I had the displeasure of encountering a nasty young rude girl @IHOP by the name of Solmary who doesn't believe me when I tell her I've already checked in and to go get her manager for proof. She questioned him! I'm thinking Well DAM that's rude. The manager pleasant professional apologizes and seats me. we are seated for 10 minutes and she casually walks down the aisle and says within earshot "these customers are not going to be by MF problem today"... or was it the customer behind me who also complained about her. What took me over the edge was the site of her casually eating in the dining area answering the IHOP phone among customers who have been waiting over 30 minutes for their food order. My question is WHY is she even working at the FOH?? She's thoughtless and provoking!!!!! I complained to the manager and she eventually comes over to apologize... The food was decent, but the service was awful! I went with a group of 10 for a holiday gathering and we all ordered normal meals. Three people had their meals messed up and it took way to long to get drinks and food to the table... I could have gone back and cooked it myself quicker. Our waitress was nice but needs to improve on her waitress skills (ie: asked for an order of eggs and she brings out an order of bacon! For a vegan!!) We were traveling for 4 hours we got off the highway and chose the ihop because of the clean and bright appeal from the road! And we did not get mislead whatsoever! The establishment is SO clean and everyone is friendly! Karen is the best waitress! Kudos for amazing service and kindness! She greeted us with such cheer and was so proud of the iHop food! The food was so good! Pancakes cooked to perfection, amazingly ripe avocados and French toast full of vanilla! The manager stopped by as well, which was nice! Great visit!! Great food! These reviews must be talking about a different Ihop than this one! Granted they are old reviews... My family and I had the BEST experience!! Wait staff was on point, food was hot and delicious! Just like the pictures. They were so busy but the Manager was out chatting with tables and delivering food too! He could carry like 8 plates on one arm! Seriously, it's a sight to behold. We will never eat here again. The service was horrible and it took a long time to get our breakfast. We had to ask for silverware and the waitress came back with wet utensils and two of the forks had food stuck on them....it looked like hashbrowns. In addition, all our pancakes were burnt. Just had the worst dining experience I've ever had and trust me I've been a server but for you to drop my food no salt , no pepper , ketchup or even syrup for my pancakes is one unacceptable . Then you don't come back to the table at all. I have to ask another server for a refill and a water . Even then I'm holding my composure . I ask for my check and the other server says she'll get my server after having to get me the things I need to finish my meal. He never comes I see him talking and just conversing as I go to the bathroom I come out and ask say "excuse me can I get my check ", and your response as a server who dropped my food and never came back you gonna say to me "hold on ma'am I'm very busy, you are going to have to give me a minute." Mind you we are one of three tables in the restaurant . Now I'm walking out . Play with me if you want . I still paid for my meal but definitely was not tipping for the service , the two dollars in change I told the other server who was kind enough to cash us out to keep the change ! I'm very reasonable I know what it's like to be a server but what you not going to do is give me horrible customer service then get a attitude with me I want to say his name is Daquan but honestly he never introduced his self to begin with I called back and figured he was the only male in the restaurant so that had to be his name not a hundred percent sure but very upset . Food was great but service was absolutely horrible from him at least the other server, she was very pleasant . Needless to say I probably will not be going back and definitely will request him not to be my server if I do return . Unclean, and the burger was soggy and dripping fat like soup. I ordered onion rings, it didn't taste nice at all, as if the oil it was fried in was boiling for a long long time. The water came in with something inside. While touching the plate, a piece of another customers omelette was sticking in there. My husband and I just moved to Manchester and have already gone to this IHOP three times. We can not say enough good things about this establishment. The wait staff including Jaz are AWESOME and so accommodating and friendly. The food has been fantastic and the portion sizes are quite large. Love this place already. read more

Decided to try ordering online this morning and was given a pickup time 17 min later. Arrived three min before pickup time, called store as requested to do, and was told food would be out in a few min. Food took 20 min to come out, one item was missing toppings and others were hard/cool. Waitress are super slow and dumb, when we got there the waitress told us to wait, but one minute later the other two guys walked in and were seated immediately. But we got seated after their drinks were served even if we got there first. And when we asked the waitress she just said she didn't see us when she's the one who told us to wait. And while waiting, just witnessed another waitress had an argument with another old lady. These waitress seriously need some training. read more

If I had to choose between listening to Bill O' Reilly narrate an audiobook or eat at this establishment, I would listen to his audiobooks on repeat until I was dead. A one star review is more than generous. If I had to choose between diving and sifting through a flaming garbage bin and eating at this establishment, well you better call an ambulance because I got first degree burns. The waiter was great, but the amount of time it took to get our food was longer than the amount of time it took for the universe to form. There are a few times in life when you get a perfectly prepared meal that is presented with fantastic service. This is NOT the place for that. I took my kids fishing one morning, and we had worked up quite an appetite while baiting hooks and such, so we decided to try this IHOP (since we always get decent service and good food at other locations). We waited 20 minutes before we received our drinks, this is usually where we know that it will be a bad experience. After 50 minutes we received our food, and 2 of the 3 plates were completely cold, and I don't mean lukewarm, they had been sitting for 15-20 minutes, kind of cold. When I attempted to complain to the waitress, she just walked away like she didn't want to hear it. The worst part is that there wasn't 20 people in the place when we arrived. I have come this IHOP many tomes before and left mixed reviews but today made no sense. I was sat at my table @830 not one server came over to my table and offered anything. Tables sat after me got service but I was ignored. I waited 15 minutes went to the front and asked for takeout instead. Today's service was the worst I have had at ihop. As I am writing this I see more servers coming in, meaning they were completely understaffed. I may just decide to go else where. To me customer service is very important. It only takes one bad experience for someone to change there mind about any place. The very least someone could have said to me was that they were a bit busy and would be with me in a Little while. Their unsanitary I've watched employees go out back smoke cigarettes touch all over their phones touching chairs they leave out back to take their breaks go back in and wash their filthy grimy hands! Nasty af!!!! The servers and the cooks go back and forth about issues in an inappropriate way, cursing and being inappropriate in other ways. We've seen it so often we'd be sitting in our cars after coming out of other establishments and I don't know if the employees are off the clock or just sitting in their vehicles smoking weed just nasty as hell! What you do on your own time is one thing but when your working your on someone else's time!!!! There's no respect for the consumer anymore... the managers and lead staff are no better they display and engage in the same behaviors. How I know is when they behavior of the staff are brought to their attention they forget to remember when they've engage in the verbal complain with you, I'd rather pay higher prices for good clean service then take my chances catching food poison or TB! I only picked up take-out here once, and though it took forever to come out, the food was already cold. On top of that, the pancakes were dry, they had given me the wrong potatoes, and there was no butter or syrup. Ordered the stuffed French toast for pick up. I was given regular French toast. When I called to inform them that I received the wrong order, I was hung up on twice. I called a third time and asked to talk to a manager. Kevin said he was sorry and working on refunding me and said he would call within the hour to let me know it was taken care of. 24 hours later with no call back. This ihop is run like a Waffle House. Don't bring your family here. There are plenty of better spots for food in Manchester. I will be writing to corporate about the visit. Scum bags. read more
