Stopped in for a late lunch today and were seated immediately by our very pleasant server. Drink order was two hot chocolates which came served in large coffee cups topped with a generous layer of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate, very tasty with rich chocolate flavor. Order was cinnamon pancakes, classic burger with French fries and a side of onion rings. Pancakes came in a stack of three drizzled with stripes of sweet white icing with an extra side of icing as ordered. Well cooked, fluffy and nice and light. Great cinnamon flavor. Burger was cooked as ordered, medium, topped with lettuce, bacon, red onions, pickles and a special sauce. Large pile of nice and crispy French fries were on the plate as well. Onion ring side was large with what looked like a whole onion cut up with a light very light crispy coating. All in all a very good meal at a reasonable price. I am definitely not going back here - very very poor service, the restaurant is not clean and the food was very average. What frustrated me was that there was so many staff walking around and nobody cared to even stop by or even bring us a glass of water. Every one of them seem to be busy with what they were doing, definitely not attending to the customers. An easy wait of approx. 15-20 mins. at each step - after seated and someone come to take your drink order, then 1-20 mins to bring the drink and take the food order, then the forever wait for the food to be served and if you ask for anything additional that was not on your plate, good luck waiting for another 20 mins. Went for a quick lunch w/ my mom and my youngest last week. The place is filthy. We walked in and could immediately see tables covered with dirty, used dishes. There wasn't a greeter and after 5 mins of standing around, a server says "Let me just see if there are any clean tables for you.." are there no busers? Throughout our whole meal, we sat next to tables that didn't get cleared of their dirty dishes or wiped clean. Oh wait, excuse me.. they did have someone clear off one table for more guests to sit, but they just moved the dirty dishes to the other dirty table, and left the bucket right on the booth. Don't even get me started on the meal.. I had onion rings as part of my meal, and it came out completely burnt. I mean do the cooks/food runners not have eyes? IHOP is a comfort place for me when I want pancakes. The only thing I associate with that name is pancake. Recently they started an initiative to brand it as a burger place. I didn't try the burgers here not do I intend to try it for a while. Their fruit pancakes are my favorite. Especially the blueberry one is really good. I also like their French toast expecting the strawberry banana one. If you have a really good sweet tooth go for banana Nutella crepe. The omelettes are fine. The rye bread was really good. This place is clean and the waitresses are friendly. read more

Went here for a late dinner. Probably 2 other tables were occupied, but otherwise quiet. Server was Karen who was very courteous and pleasant throughout our stay. We didn't wait long for our order. This was absolutely disgusting. My order was the strawberries and cream crepes. It looked great, although the crepe seamed to be over cooked based on it being black. But based on past experience crepes are pretty hard to nail and cook good. As soon as I cut into it and started chewing it the taste was horrendous, the taste of wet dog irrigated throughout my mouth. I also had a friend order scrambled eggs which were also not the best, they tasted sour, I was at the brink of gagging. Our drinks were also very very watered down. If the goal is mediocrity then IHOP succeeds. Compare my sampler to the IHOP stock photo which totally sums it up pictorially. My pet peeve, and seems to be a trend, is wait staff short changing. This was the worst Ihops we ever eaten at. I ordered the sirloin tops and they literally tasted like mushy liver. Smelt like liver as well. The waitress, was overworked, and missed us waiting to pay. The salad, was spoiled. The lettuce, greasy, mushy and brown. Half was good only for my turtles to eat. The honey mustard salad dressing, was spoiled tasting. Went to the Manchester, CT location this last Sunday 07/30, around 9am with my wife and daughter. Once we were seated, our waitress was Karen S. The food was good, but the shining star was definitely Karen. She was extraordinarily attentive to any and every need we could ask for, before we could ask for it. She had other tables in her zone, yet we still felt like we had her undivided attention, which is the ultimate sign that she exceeds in her position. I was so impressed by her skills, that I felt compelled to speak with her manager to insist that she has a verbal compliment as well as written. Even if my meal came out bad, which it did not, Karen herself made the experience worth coming back. Karen S. provides a great reputation to IHOP, and is a precious asset. read more

I always have a hard time with restaurants. My gf and I just gave up on eating out but as I'm writing this, we decided to grab some breakfast after an early morning appointment. I will come back here anytime. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Most places, I'm not allowed to order off the kids menu. Therefore, I leave. I don't eat most foods and I'm recovering from an ED. Therefore that's an important thing for me. They let me order off the kids menu without even thinking. Review # 2 Drastic improvement in service and turnaround time to deliver an order. Attentiveness of the server was lacking and still stays a major problem at this location. Small Things like no forks/napkins served. Server disappearing from the scene for a while. Chicken fajita omelette: Chicken, cheese, veggies inside an omelette can never go wrong. We have ordered this many times and its a goto option when you have so much to choose from. Turkey and avocado bennie: Tried this for the first time. Roasted turkey, cheese, scrambled egg inside a toased bread. With avocado on the side. Taste was good and very basic recipe. If you like turkey, this works. Pancakes: This is why we were here. They are fluffy, delicious and perfectly made. They could serve it with some extra dishes and forks. We had to eat these 3 pancakes in the same small dish because the server was missing from the scene. It was messy but worth it. Ihop really needs to up their game. We were seated quickly, however we had to stand and watch the bust boy clean the table we were being seated at. Our waitress was nice and calm. She took our order without writing anything down. After bringing our drinks we waited around 40-45 minutes for our food to come out wrong. I ordered the chicken and pancakes and my fiancé ordered his usual sandwich with bacon on the side. His sandwich came back burned and no bacon. I didn't get my chicken at all. Angel, the manager, didn't take anything off our bill after we told them about the food. No tip was given. Overall the food was good, but we shouldn't have to wait an hour for eggs, cheese and ham to be put together. It takes 15 minutes at home. read more

Is it just me? Maybe the places I have been choosing to visit? I just haven't been getting any WOW's in my dining recently.. This IHOP was... Decent The decor and low set 90's music and extremely bright lights (no I wasn't hung over or anything) made me feel like I was undoubtedly in a hospital cafeteria. The waitress was bleh. Could have swapped her out with a Walmart cashier and never known the difference . the food came out well prepared.... For frozen type stuff.. My French toast was cold... I mean like I jut ate soggy cold bread with strawberry goo all over it. Everything else was hot . Overall... I think I'll grab frozen French toast in the freezer isle next time and get all the fixins for breakfast in bed read more

This was my first foray in a long time eating at a IHOP. I ordered scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, whole wheat toast dry with coffee. My eggs were done perfectly not tough, the sausage had a very bold, quite appealing, down South/Texas type smoky flavor. How often do you get toast which is barely toasted, toasted on one side not the other or just plain over done, not here the toaster that day was cranking out perfectly toasted photo op slices of bread, someone didn't see "dry" on the order though. I wished my plate had arrived hotter from the kitchen it didn't, barely warm, but that was forgivable as this restaurant was chock full of customers that morning, even so I though the service was very good. read more

Glad to know that applebee's hasn't gone anywhere. Slow service and quality of food poor, you'd be better off traveling to a Denny's than this location. I've eaten at plenty of IHOP restaurants before and never have any taken as long for our order to hit the table. The manager along with the waitress served our meal and allowed a brick called "hash browns" and over fried cheese sticks to be served. Do you have any pride in what you're serving? While the waitress did replace the hash brown, I feel like our money would have been better spent or we should have driven out to the pike to visit their IHOP location as they have far superior service and pride in what they're serving to customers. My third time here and it wasn't any different than the first and second. This is one IHOP I won't be giving another chance to. Wait was not long but our wait time for our food (which we never received) was 45 minutes, would of been longer had we not decided that it was just long enough to get up and get out of there. I truly felt they forgot about us, my wife and I. Place seem filled with staff but was very slow on production, and to add more insult to our experience there was a freaking manager there on the floor that went over to peoples table to ask how their meal and stay was(he did walk by us a few times, no response). Not once did he come up to our table to see how we were doing or tell us why our service was taking long. That was just enough for us to get our things and get out of there. Shaking my head at this place. I will not recommend anyone that I know to this IHOP. IHOP(e) they have better service next time for future customers. read more

Had to drive to JFK but needed to get some food. This was the perfect place to stop for breakfast. It was right off the exit and it just opened. Super fresh and clean. It was early so there were no lines and the staff was quick and pleasant. We got our food with no issues and no mix ups. The 6 of us left full. Stuffed strawberry french toast (strawberries were frozen and soft not fresh). The senior sampler of 2 looked good. Double blueberry pancake and choc choc chip pancake orders were huge. The two teen boys only ate half and were stuffed. Mr. G had the steak tips and eggs and I had the fried steak with gravy, eggs, hash browns and pancakes. I couldn't finish and yes was stuffed. I've fallen off my healthy eating habits. This location is a place I would stop again. There was a line out the door when we left so go early! read more

A typical IHop experience. Food is always decent at IHop, but never anything quite special compared to what it available at smaller breakfast joints. However, for a chain the breakfast is better than others. The restaurant is new (where Applebee's used to be next to Panera Bread). Interior is clean and fresh looking. I understand it's long weekend but I guess they should also plan for busy days. It's nothing new for them. It took 25 mins to seat. Then 20 mins to order. Then it's been an hour and we haven't got our food. I will update after getting the food. And then the food came wrong. That's a big bummer. I must say their food quantity have reduced a lot. I must say Ihop is always a easy, go to tastu breakfast but today was quite a different experience. Where my food was tasty, it wasn't the freshest, seemed like it sat for a few, french toast was definitely on the colder side (couldn't melt my butter cold) and they took forever to get the food out to us, not to mention it took. Maybe 15 mins just to get coffee and juice. Our server wasn't very attentive, granted it was busy but he definitely couldn't handle the pace, sorry. Mister Andrew Monico is a gem of a human being and runs a tight ship. Despite looking like Ralph from wreck it Ralph he continues to keep his restaurant's morale up. As far as the food goes, everything was delivered hot with no mistakes. The eggs tasted like the kitchen had taken them straight from the chicken. I wonder if they had a chicken back there that is just constantly laying fresh eggs. If so, that's one hard working chicken. Anyway, try the giant green pancakes. They're pretty cool. I like this pace but am hard pressed to get my family to join me here. I like breakfast for dinner and this place is new and clean unlike the nearby Denny's. I usually get something from the over 55 menu and its affordable and fast. (I would appreciate if they asked for my ID instead of taking my word for it... LOL) I enjoy the 80s music they seem to always have playing. I really like the serve yourself coffee and their white toast with butter takes me back to childhood. They lose a star because the staff can be wonky. Our waiter was nice nothing against her. The food was terrible though. I ordered the BBQ chicken melt and it had NO barbecue on it and was very dry. We came into IHOP on a Saturday hoping to have a relaxed breakfast/brunch kind of food. We asked for a table at 11.15am.. got a table after 20min. Once we placed the order it took another half an hour for the food to reach us. So we were finally given our meal at 12.10pm. I was almost famished by then. Considering IHOP to b so popular I was ready to ignore the waiting time n delay in the service. All the more it was a saturday. But to my disappointment the food was completely cold. How the hell do u explain a delayed service and cold food to top it!! The food taste was average but after waiting for so long n almost starving u get served cold food!!? Nope not done IHOP. Went to the IHOP in Manchester on Thursday. I felt so sorry for the waitress that waited on us. I believe she was new, not only was she the ONLY waitress for the whole restaurant. I believe it was the manager that seated us. Well if you want to call her a manager. The only thing we saw her do was seat people then sat herself down. She never got up to help the poor waitress. In my opinion that's not a manager. When your serving the public and in that kind of position then you help out your staff. It took over an hour and half from start to finish. Mind you we went in at 2.00 ish. So it wasn't prime lunch or dinner time. The food was good and the waitress did the best she could. I think the manager needs to be retrained or fired. read more

We took my Mom to iHop for breakfast on Mother's Day expecting to wait a long time to be seated and be served. They had a very friendly hostess greet us and we waited 30 mins in our car (better for my Mom) until they texted us. We had an amazing waitress, Tiffany, serve us an delicious breakfast! A huge success for one of the busiest days for restaurants during a time when restaurants are still recovering from pandemic issues. Thanks ihop! read more
