The service was terrible--waiter was wearing an airpod while serving, barely checked on us, and when we flagged him down to ask for the check he said he was coming then took another 10 minutes. This would be understandable if the restaurant was busy, but there were only a few other tables seated in the restaurant. We work in the restaurant industry and neither of us have EVER tipped below 18% before, but what should have been a short trip took a crazy long time, and we were late to our next commitment. We tipped our server 3 pennies because this terrible of service does not warrant a tip. When we were leaving, our server came out into the parking lot, yelled "HEY! YOU CAN KEEP YOUR PENNIES!!!" at us, and then THREW THEM AT US. Our server's name was Denis. Not only was the service awful, but he literally THREW THINGS AT US and yelled at us. Again, we work in the restaurant industry and have never tipped badly before; this wasn't us being dicks, this was us not tipping someone who is literally incompetent at their job. Came to enjoy a family lunch, the front desk agent didn't want to wait for my family to park and come in . JOSE .G our server was in a hurry and very very rude ,greeted us after 5 minutes and asked if we were good or bad, in such Did not let my kids decide what they want kept interrupting, while we decided what we wanted to order. Ordered coffee, came back with 1 cup. While we ordered for both of us. He served us food and came in after few minutes to check if we were good, then he vanished for almost 15 minutes had to ask another server for water and boxes .Jose got the check with to go boxes, after we were done packing our food , I didn't want to pay him a tip , so I decided to make the payment at the checkout counter, he came back as we stated to move out asked if we were going to pay ? Worst breakfast we have had at IHOP in years. Didnt listen to my order. Was wrong when I got there. When corrected, the rest was cold. Stk was awful, and the eggs has sliced cheese folded in and not melted. Felt like they didnt take it seriously. If I pay 58.00 for a take out order, at least they should get it right. Waste of money. I love pancakes and usually love IHOP but I went for lunch today and it was really bad. I guess there have been some changes recently. The hash-browns used to be awesome but now they are obviously pre made, frozen pop-tart shaped patties that are deep fried and they are disgusting. My scrambled eggs tasted like they were cooked in butter it was really unappetizing. Fortunately the pancakes we awesome. Don't know if I'll ever order anything but pancakes from IHOP anymore. read more

The only positive I can say about this IHOP is that, nope. Nothing positive about this place. 5 out of 5 meals that we ordered were bad. Cold eggs, undercoated eggs (white egg goop) rock hard Belgian waffles, and cold pancakes covered with one warm one. I've had to add a one note entry to remind myself that the 20 minutes to another IHOP is worth the gas. This is not a good place to eat. Not even the coffee was hot. A real disappointment. read more

It's amazing. No matter which IHOP I go to the food is always consistent. The prices are cheap and I love when my kids can eat for free! This IHOP feels a bit closed in or old but it seemed clean and tidy. The staff was great and very friendly. Once again, it's a decent, cheap meal with a good staff. I never expect much when going to a 24 hour place, but, on the few occasions that require a meal at 3am... this IHOP was a pleasant surprise! People often critique the food here, but it isn't bad. The stuffed French toast with the combo is amazing. Here was the huge shocker, though. The staff was actually pleasant! Even at 3am. I'd give it zero stars if possible. This morning my husband found a cockroach inside his pancakes. It must've been cooked with the batter because it was inside the pancake along the outer edge. Management apologized for the "inconvenience", said they didn't know how it got there & comped 50% of our ticket. Never again will I eat there. We are writing because of our subpar service at dinner tonight at the 980 Edwards Ferry Store in VA. First off? my friend ordered lemon water and didn't get lemon. Then, we ordered two jr shakes without whip, and received two regular shakes with whip. Our food was cold and dry, we had our check sent back 4 times because of errors and miscommunication among the servers, and all the while, the service was slow and inattentive. We were not checked up on enough and got irritated because our needs weren't being taken care of. In addition, one of the servers had Airpods in, during his shift, and the pancakes came much later than the dish it was supposed to accompany. We didn't get any remorse for the bad service and are still here waiting for our (hopefully) last check. In addition, one of the servers is right behind us talking to his friends sitting in a booth during his shift, which is part of the slow service I guess. Our check is still not here, we have not had a chance to speak with the manager yet, and we've been waiting here still. Finally, the server who just brought us our check was rude and didn't accept the fact that the service was crappy. Please fix this. read more

Few months ago. I paid for my bill with a credit card. And I left 4 dollars cash for tip, but 2 weeks later the bank sent me. An email Wich said have you enjoy your meal and service. A decent place for a cheap breakfast and the occasional good deal. Staff are quick and attentive, and can usually carry a good conversation when it's not too busy. Unfortunately, the food itself isn't that great, which is a major down side. I am not sure if its the cooks or the recipes, but believe me when I say its meh at best. I came here with a party of 30 as a tradition after our school play! We only waited 10 minutes before the energetic greeter took us to our table (which is quick considering I work in a restaurant and understand how stressful it can be). Our waiter was shy, but was definitely handling our huge party as best as he could! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it took about 20+ minutes to get drinks and 45 minutes to get food. However, I can understand that the kitchen gets busy. For my meal, I ordered the Stuffed French Toast. All I have to say is...wow. This is THE best breakfast meal I have ever had. It was sweet and perfectly proportioned and flavorful! IHOP is ok and overall we love the food. We go for the breakfast foods and they do pretty good except for the undercooked eggs and hashbrowns we received last night. The eggs looked like snot was dripping from them and the hashbrowns were still very much white and not so brown. Sometimes we get lucky and have a good server but mostly not. But hey, they are making ruffly $2 an hour so you can't expect much. read more
