Placed a delivery order through the IHOP app. Waited over 2 hours and the food was never delivered. I didn't even receive a call from the restaurant to notify me about the order -- I had to reach out myself. The app then switched couriers from DoorDash to Favor without notice. No driver ever showed up. It showed the driver "heading my way" for 56 minutes, then got stuck at 4 minutes and never moved again. I was repeatedly told to cancel through the app, but the app doesn't even have that option. The restaurant offered no real solution besides "we'll cancel it." They kept saying the GM was busy cooking, and I never got to speak to him or receive any actual help regarding the disruption. The least they could have done was listen and try to help -- even offering an alternative like in-store pickup. Instead, there was no compensation, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation, and it was clear that no one even knew how their own app works. No confirmation of refund was provided. This place has gone down dramatically. I ordered an avocado toast breakfast and when I got it...It had 5 super thin sliced avocados on it, when I say thin, I mean they were sliced as thin as sliced cheese. When I brought it to the waitress attention and she took it to the manager, the manager on duty ( Rhonda ) would not add more avocado to it. Like what's the cost of a few more slices of avocado compared to the cost of the meal when I gave it back to them? Late post - During our visit to Houston back in March, we've visited this ihop 2 times now. The first day was Friday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty, with a few patrons being served. The staff was pretty low, as I'm sure they don't get a ton of business during the week during the day. I started to get a little worried when we entered the restaurant, and there was no hostess in the front to seat us. Took a couple of minutes, but we were finally seated. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy by any means. I have to say the lack of a hostess did not reflect the excellent service we received on Friday by the two servers that were there. They took good care of us as well as the manager on duty. The food was good, I had the classic burger with onion rings, and the burger was good. I had to dry the lettuce off a bit, but other than that, the burger was tasty, and onion rings were delicious. My husband had the breakfast sampler, and he had no complaints at all. Since we had such great service on Friday, we decided to come back Sunday afternoon. Of course, the place was busy this time. However, no one was waiting outside to be seated. They seem to be seating persons pretty quickly. We get in the restaurant, with hostess again. The hostess apparently was taking care of call-in orders and no one to back her up when someone came in the restaurant to dine-in. We waited almost 10 minutes before the hostess thought about seating us. We had to let the manager know about it. Afterward, we got a good waitress who took good care of us. The restaurant is medium-sized and nice atmosphere. The people cleaning the tables need to do a better job of cleaning to include wiping of the seats. Overall, it's a great place to eat, especially during the week. read more

I'm giving 5 stars for service. My daughter would give 5 stars for their chicken tenders. I had an issue with my breakfast for dinner last night, and the manager, Robert, called me this morning to talk about it. He offered a comped meal and refunded the dinner that wasn't so great. We placed an order today, and when daughter and I went to pick it up, he brought it out. I've never felt the need to hug someone so strongly. He has this incredible kindness in his eyes, in his aura. My daughter noticed it, too. He was so sweet and truly just wanted to make sure we were satisfied... and I felt guilty. I don't want to take anything from him, except maybe a hug. Absolute worst IHOP I went by yesterday to get some Swedish Crepes and purchased a full order when I got to work and opened the container it had half an order. No syrup and no butter. I called and was able to get a refund but had to go up there to get it. I went by today and no one knew what I was talking about because the manager was not there. I went ahead and ordered the crapes again and checked the box before leaving. I get to work and they put ONIONS in the special made jam that goes on the crepes. I ran here quickly tonight after sitting in ER all evening. They finally put my mother in a room so we needed something to eat desperately. I ordered 55+ chicken dinner for $8.99 on the menu. I was in such a rush that I didn't realize my card was charged $11.34 total. Is there that much tax on $8.99. I know I should have been more observant but I was not. Are they wrong. Or am I. I'm still at the hospital. No plans to go back tonight. Hope the manager reads this and give me a free something next time I go there. Cam here to redeem my annual free rooty tooty stack. It was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon. Honestly, I wasnt in the mood for pancakes, BUT letting free food go to waste is not my style, so I figured perusing the menu would entice my appetite enough to get pancakes. My waitress was very sweet. I told her right away that I was using a certificate and asked her what would be valid for my purchase. Basically the certificate has a value of $8.99. Decided to mix it up and get the combo that includes 2 pancakes, sausage or bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. I asked for the eggs to be scrambled and add cheese to the hashbrowns. Pretty good decision-- I had a plate of eggs and hashbrowns all by themselves. Eggs dont travel well, so I decided to eat them at the restaurant and saved the pancakes and sausage for later. The eggs were fluffy and tasted like eggs (not overseasones with salt). Since I ate the hashbrowns with the eggs, they provided enough salt to compliment the eggs. Cheese they used just wasnt stringy, but It tasted like cheese and the haabrowns had just the right crunch on the outside but still had plenty of bites of potato inside. As far as the pancakes, they were nixe and fluffy upon consumptipn at home. The strawberry syrup wasnt too powerfullt sweet either, which I cannot stand, but it takes alot of it to make a dent in IHOP pancakes! In effect, they tried to get soggy on me, but meh minor! Still tasted great! You cannot beat a free meal and a stack of pancakes is a really good way to start a birthday. I just wondeer what will happen when IHOP becomes IHOb???? We have been coming here every Sunday for awhile now. Waitress told us if a senior meal was purchased that any other meal on the menu would NOT be given a senior discount because they've changed the rules. This is not right because one can't eat the same or one might want more than a senior meal, they should be giving the discount. Not sure if we're coming back. $2 is $2 discount and we go out of our way to come to this location from East Houston. This is not customer service and they are not losing money giving the discounts. It's in the old shopping strip area of Humble. The waitstaff here are real people 100%. I had just gotten released from the hospital and was waiting for my ride and walked here for some coffee and a bite. The waitress with the tattoo on her arm helped me find a spot where I could plug my phone in and then covered my bill. Now this isn't going to be everyone's experience obviously but it couldn't have come at a better time for me. I literally had 9 dollars in my pocket and even thought I said nothing of it it was like they could tell I had a bad time at the hospital and the small kindness they showed helped start my day off and put me in a good frame of mind. Today 2 of us at breakfast. When we ordered we asked for no sugar syrup with our fresh fruit on French toast. When the expeditor (runner who brings the food to your table from the kitchen) we point out problems and she replied I get your server and when he arrives after hearing my complaint he only want defend what the menu described the food. The menu did not take the order he did. When I asked for Manger and he arrives to listen comes to the table with loud tone of voice. The experience and service I rate below service. curbside pick up- I ordered a curbside order from here and the food was great! the order was ready in time for when my fiancé went to go pick up the food. The only issue was the girl who brought the food out to him missed a whole order, (also partly my fiancés fault for not checking, /or seeing that a LOT of food was missing for the amount of people we ordered for) so when he got home and we checked the food, we realized a meal was missing. he called back the store and the girl was really apologetic and sincere, and she said she realized she forgot to give him the last bag of food when she went back inside and saw the rest of the order on the counter. but she didn't call us back when she realized... she said she didn't know what number to call because we used two numbers (the one on the website I put down and the one he used to call when he arrived to the curb) . and I feel like since she had two numbers then she had two options to call when she realized.. anyways my fiancé drove back a whole 20 minutes to the restaurant to get the rest of the food we paid for and they re-made the items that were missed and even gave us an extra breakfast meal, which we really really appreciated. Next time though, call us when you realize instead of waiting for the customer to get home and then make us come all the way back.. otherwise thank You for acknowledging the mistake and for making it right!! read more

Don't order curbside! They're extremely slow and your order won't be ready as listed on the email. I waited over 30 mins, I called back they put me on hold another 15mins and I left. Poor customer service! Take down the curbside/to go option if you can't service your customers in a timely manner. My time is just as valuable. read more

As far as IHOP's go, I guess this place is about average. On this particular evening, they seemed to be over staffed. They were bumping into each other. This resulted into one broken dish at the threshold of the kitchen area. Talk about a dinner and a show. My advice is stick to the pancakes and such or else you'll be disappointed. I, mistakenly, ordered a chicken soup. This "soup" was inedible, it was so strange. We returned it to wherever it came from. The waiter was kind enough to not charge us for it. The other food was a turkey dinner. Not bad. Had all the trimmings too. Just not spectacular. The other dish was the chicken cordon bleu. It had all the ingredients, but they were just layered and not stuffed into the chicken. Also, for some strange reason, it all was on a bed of sautéed spinach. This was a huge flavor conflict. When I return to an IHOP, I'll stick to my favorite of Swedish crêpes. read more

Good job for an IHOP in Humble, Texas. The cops are here often, so that means it must be OK, right? The bathrooms are clean and the food is just about what you would expect, plus they are usually friendly when I am there super late after working a long day in Houston. Where do I start. We sat in this area that felt like they had no a/c. Very uncomfortable. We waited a long time to get our brkfast which I figured was because it was busy but when our food arrived my wife's food was hot and mine was luke warm and my French toast was cold but wat made it worse is the French toast was burned. This IHOP was not that bad as we were seated pretty quickly for a family of three. The waiter was nice and asked for our drinks and brought them out quickly even though they were packed. The only reason I rated this business two stars was because the food took so long to come out for us even though our waiter kept telling us our food was coming out every 5-10 min but in reality it took them a whole hour before our food actually came out; by the time we started eating everybody left and the building was empty only with a few customers. Yes the communication was good but yet our order wasn't correct and was cold by the time it got to us. My girlfriend ordered an omelet with a hash brown on the side and they had brought her out pancakes but she told them it was not correct and the cook said "I'm sorry she has the wrong ticket and it was hard to read." My girlfriend and I were there to celebrate her moms birthday but it was not all fine and dandy. We seen as new customers walked in and be seated and their food coming out quickly which annoyed us. So if you do come to this restaurant just make sure to bring some patience and eat a snack before you come if you are really hungry. read more

Every time I come here the waitstaff is extremely friendly. I forgot to close my driver side door and the employees noticed and were nice enough to inform me. You know IHOP, then you know how this place makes its food. It's standard IHOP fare. The facilities are a little run down, but it is an older location. Nothing is dirty, but you can see the mileage. It is a good place to run by, grab grub and get going. As with all IHOPs, the best thing is the coffee. The service here is good too, with old school waiters and waitresses doing fetching the hash and the old school short order cooks in the back slinging it. read more
