    Swedish Crepes

I love IHOP and their Swedish crepes! I could eat these things everyday, but would probably end up weighing 900 lbs. But dang are they good! If you haven't tried them, check them out. Those lingonberries or a combination of sweet and tangy which really hits the spot

I'm not normally a big fan of the IHOP brand, but this one is decidedly different. Their food is good! And the customer service we received was top notch! I had the Breakfast Sampler, which comprised of 2 eggs, 2 bacon slices, 2 sausages, 2 French toast, hash browns, and a short stack of (3) pancakes, along with OJ and a pot of coffee. I was so hungry! It would've been difficult to finish my plate had this been bad food, but since it allll was sooo excellent, I ate everything except one egg and a pancake. Piggy. Lol. Our waitress was a sweetie. She did such a great job handling it all with such finesse that I gave her a huge tip. She provided excellent service and great conversation. The restaurant was relatively busy for the hour we dined there, which was just a few hours before the dinner hour. Silverware and cutlery were all clean as well as the dining area we were sat at was, too. I snapped a picture of my meal almost immediately after my coffee and OJ picture, but for some reason, the pic didn't take. Bummer. It was a thing of beauty. Ha ha. I can't speak for the restrooms, as we did not use them. However, we'd love to return again sometime next time we're in the area.

    70 minutes and no food!

Been over an hour four tables have walked out restaurant is slow and the cooks are even slower. Manager needs to be fired, worst IHOP in the country!

    Lemonade.

The hostess greeted us when we walked inside and took us to a booth that I slid into while I mentioned how spacious and comfortable it was. The hostess handed each of us a menu and our waitress was at our table within minutes placing our drink orders. I ordered lemonade. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She was carried all drinks to our table and poured the coffee into the cup while balancing the other drinks. She set the coffee cup down and had the cream served heaping over a small bowl that she sat down the orange juice. Then the lemonade. I could taste the lemon flavors bursting all over the palate where I could taste the sweet and the tart. Here comes the French Toast that arrived table side piping hot with a dollop of butter in the middle that started melting as it was placed in front of me. The dollop and butter and butter pecan had nice flavors. I could taste the egg wash that makes me love this even more. The edges were crisp. The lemonade is a palate cleanser that was a nice addition. ~~~~~~~ I noticed there was about two other waitresses that were waiting on the larger tables and our waitress was waiting on the smaller tables. This worked out since the rush came in after the larger tables were done. Then our waitress took care of the check. It was one of the nicer meals we have had. ~~~~~~~

The cups are not clean at the top I thought it was just condensation from the ice

Since it was our first visit and everything on the menu spoke to us, she helped steer us in the right direction. I ended up ordering the pistachio croissant, and honestly... I'd go back for that alone. It was warm, huge by croissant standards, and absolutely heavenly. I even grabbed another one to take home because Future Me deserved a little happiness too. We also tried the raspberry lemon danish, which was a delicious combo, but the pistachio croissant stole the show without breaking a sweat. We started with the poutine, and while it wasn't the traditional version I've had before, it was incredible. Instead of cheese curds blocks, it came with pulled pork and melted cheese, and somehow it just worked. Comfort food with a little Southern flair. For breakfast, we had the ham and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. It was exactly what you want it to be--classic, satisfying, and impossible to regret if that's your usual order. I also tried the Liquid Gold juice. Their juice selection is impressive, but I may have accidentally found my forever order on the first try. It was so refreshing, with just a hint of ginger. For a hot drink, I highly recommend the London fog. I'm not usually a tea fan but if you don't want coffee, this is an excellent option. Before we left, we picked up some of their salted caramels to go, and they make the perfect little gift... assuming you have enough self-control not to eat them all in the car. The vibe here is upscale southern diner. One of the signs on the wall said, "All are welcome, but you need to act right," and honestly, that's the kind of life advice we could all use. I also really appreciated that parking was free. In Chattanooga these days it's hard finding a place where you don't have to scan a QR code, download an app, and pay to park just to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Milk & Honey is absolutely worth a visit...and if you're debating the pistachio croissant, stop debating and just order it. Your only regret will be not getting a second one.

The staff was NOT trained for a tea party, which is ironic. We had reservations for 3 adults and one child....we waited over 30 minutes to get served. They brought out water and never asked if we wanted our tea. We got our tiers, but they still didn't bring out tea, we had to ask for it. The food on the tiers were not good...like a biscuit with no jam. I had to ask for small plates and we had to pour our own tea. All in all, a disappointing tea party after our 2 hour drive! My granddaughter is only 2, so she had a good, special time, and for that I praise the ambience of this cute restaurant! But since the restaurant is an Alice and Wonderland place, the staff should be trained to hold an equally magical tea party!! PS. When we got the bill, they had over charged us by 42.00. Remember, before you tip, they add a tip too! The manager did correct our card for their mistake. Sorry, The Hatter, we were very disappointed. A tea party at an Alice and Wonderland restaurant should be MAD and crazy special!

I especially like the atmosphere and the history of the house--it has a lot of charm and makes for a unique dining experience. Most of the food has been good, but the shrimp and grits were a definite miss for us. The flavor just wasn't there, and it's not something we would order again. Overall, I'd say this is probably one of the better places to eat in Dayton, especially since there aren't a lot of restaurants in the area that consistently offer higher-quality food. The biggest reason I can't rate it any higher is the service. We've had the same waitress both visits, and unfortunately, she just hasn't been friendly or welcoming. Dining out, especially at these prices, is about more than just the food. You want to feel like your business is appreciated, and we've walked away both times feeling more like an inconvenience than valued customers. That said, we'd still consider going back because the atmosphere is enjoyable and most of the food has been good. I'm hopeful that a different server--or a more welcoming service experience--would make a noticeable difference.
