This is such a cute little cupcake shop! I brought my little girl here for her very first cupcake (1st birthday). You get to choose your flavor of cupcake and then a frosting to go on top. They then put "your" cupcake together for you. So much better than choosing a prefrosted cupcake out of a display window. I liked the selection of flavors, some traditional and some original. My cupcake was a "pray for snow"(like the 10barrel beer) cake with bourbon frosting. Very soft and full of flavor. The icing was on the sweet side for me, but to be fair most are that way for my taste. Ida has a great thing going! read more

We got the strawberry cupcake with chocolate frosting, a red velvet and a lemon with cream cheese frosting, and they were the !!! So moist and yummy. Try these DELICIOUS CUPCAKES! read more

I enjoyed this cupcake place. I must admit, I'm not a huge cupcake fan. The cupcake movement has taken the country by storm, much like self-serve frozen yogurt. I know it'll die out in a couple of years, but it doesn't stop me from trying a delectable treat when I'm in the mood for some delicious frosting. I didn't find Ida's to be all that spectacular, except for a few things which I found to be noteworthy... 1. They have a range of cupcake flavors to choose from. 2. The cupcakes are not pre-frosted. You can do a "mix and match" as it were, and select whatever cake flavor you want to go along with whatever frosting flavor you want. 3. They have gluten free and vegan options. 4. You can select between regular cupcake size or kid size, which is nice when you want a treat but not something super-sized. I also find the prices to be pretty reasonable. I quite enjoyed my chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting. read more

Yum! Ida's Cupcakes are the best! I just tried out their new Ice Cream Cupcake Parfaits (Chocolate Cake & Turkish Coffee Gelato) and it was delicious! My husband tried the Strawberry & Key Lime Cake + Vanilla Gelato and loved it. I would highly recommend Ida's ! Best Cupcakes in town! read more

Ida's Cupcake Cafe - Cupcakes Near Me - Bend, Oregon

My most favorite cupcakes in the world. I have loved every one that I've tried and have never had anything but an exceptional experience with Ida's. We get cupcakes here for every birthday and every special occasion! Never disappoints. Highly recommended from the Snow family. read more

I like that you can choose the cupcake and then mix and match the icing. Cupcakes have the texture of muffins to me, and the icing is so sweet it hurts my teeth. I enjoyed the cream cheese icing and the coconut base. The bourbon butter cream really tastes like bourbon. I didn't like the eggnog base, it had too much nutmeg or cloves or allspice. The peanut butter chip base was good too. Nice lady up front. read more

I like Ida's cupcakes. You choose the cake and then match it with the frosting of choice and get a custom-made cupcake. Happy hour is 4-5 pm daily so you get a free cupcake with every paid cupcake. Good deal if you like cupcakes - and I do! read more

I am so disappointed in cupcakes from Ida's. Last two times I've bought them, they were so dry. Except better for the cost of them. Will not go back. read more

We spoke with them about 2 months prior about a cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. They said no problem, contact us a week before. We tried and left at least 2 detailed messages but received no call back. We had to scramble to find a replacement cake at the last minute. Not sure why this happened but don't want another person to have a similar situation. read more

Just went to the top rated cupcake place in Portlandia, and Ida's in Bend, hands down, has the best cupcakes in all of Oregon. Ida's Too is just as great! read more

Truly tasty cupcakes. The cake was fresh and moist. The buttercream was a tad sweet but creamy and good. I LOVED the lemon cupcake with lemon frosting. Omg. It was Ah-mazing!! Cakes are pricey but at least you get what you paid for. Next time I'd likely make a point to order "kidcakes" as they're a wee bit cheaper. Staff could be friendlier but the cakes are winners. read more

Ok, this isn't my first review but I just can't say enough about how much I love Ida's! We're in town for a birthday bash and we had cupcakes made for the event. I called 2 days before and they were able to easily fulfill my order of 5 dozen, beautiful cupcakes. AND, they make the most awesome gluten-free and vegan versions. There was something for everyone and they were not only delicious, they were gorgeous! I've been into Ida's more times that I should admit and, every, single time has been a great experience. Seriously, if you're in Bend, you should really make one of her cafe's a destination. You won't regret it! read more

First and foremost, they make a great product. I ordered a gluten-free chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting for my friend's wedding with 48 hours notice! It was ready in time on a Sunday morning, decorated in the perfect colors I asked for and everyone raved how fantastic the cake was even some who did not know it was gluten-free! I will be back! read more

Ida's cupcakes are a must stop for us everytime we are in town. Great flavor options/combination. The store is always clean and the staff are always polite and professional. read more

Best cupcakes I have ever had. The carrot cake is my favorite but I have yet to try one I don't like. Always moist and tasty frosting!! Great customer service as well. read more

Great product, really not the vendor you want for events. We booked Ida's for our July wedding this year. We had a tasting in March to which the coordinator didn't come to. We paid deposit that day, gave our selections and numbers to the person who helped us and then never heard anything from them. Zero follow up from the coordinator. Zero information about their timing, process or payment expectations. I reached out to them in June (a month out) to finalize decor only to find out they didn't save any of my order info save that I had paid a deposit and the date. I was given a different contact number, asked to submit the order and told that follow up would be better contacting the coordinator directly. I followed their instructions, gave extremely detailed information and asked for a confirmation. Zero response. I waited another 5 days then called and cancelled due to lack of follow thru and lack of communication. This was the single most stressful experience of my wedding planning and I will never recommend this vendor to anyone. If you like good cupcakes, go in and have one in their shop. Nice product but they do not have any communication skills whatsoever and should not advertise for weddings if they can't communicate. It might have been better if they had been up front about their process and staffing problems from the beginning but they don't return phone calls, don't return emails and don't return text. I had no idea what my total was going to be less than a month out from my date and no trust that the product would be delivered on time. Worst of all, they only responded after I cancelled. Poor customer service and no professionalism. read more

The cupcakes are great... i just wish the staff was a little friendlier. Everytime i go in its one of two ladies, probably in their 40s... and they just seem kinda cold and rude... like they want you to hurry up and leave asap. Its a shame because their lemon poppy seed cupcake with raspberry frosting was five stars all the way. And ive loved every sweet that I've ever gotten at ida's. They really just need to work on customer service... the cupcakes are so good that I go in even though i know the staff is unpleasant :/ read more

The peanut butter cupcake was crumbly and tasted old. Not moist at all. Extremely disappointed. I ordered cream cheese frosting and it tasted very sugary and not creamy as you would expect cream cheese frosting to be. The gingerbread cupcake was dry as well. So disappointed, Ida used to be my go to place for cupcakes. I won't be visiting Ida's again. I understand Market of Choice has a really good bakery and most important they bake things fresh and don't sell you the old stuff! read more

Ida's gluten-free Strawberry cupcake with strawberry frosting was one of the best gf cupcakes I've ever had! Several gf flavors and you can mix and match frostings. Asked if I wanted a separate box from my family's non-gf cupcakes. Very nice, will definitely go again! read more

This place is fantastic! Ida and her staff were friendly and outgoing to us. Ida chatted with a couple of us in our group from Eugene for quite a while. One of the guys pre-ordered his wife's faves and the staff even called ahead to let him know they were a little behind and to ask if that would be okay, which was greatly appreciated. Of course it was okay! They were worth the wait! Happy you're opening a second location. We'll be back next time we're in Bend! read more

Great cupcakes for special occasions, very rich and flavorful . Why the staff is always grouchy and frowning is beyond me .... Cupcakes should be smiley read more

This review is on the service itself not the cupcake since I haven't gotten the chance to try one. Why you might ask? Because their service is so slow. All I wanted to do was get ONE cupcake for a friends bday but what I didn't realize was that it would take more than 10mins to get one. So instead of waiting forever to get one I decided to go somewhere else because it wasn't worth my time. read more

The best cupcakes in the world. I'm serious about this folks- I've lived and traveled to major metropolitan areas and nothing comes close to Ida's cupcakes. They are confection perfection. read more

I was traveling to Bend, from California, for a birthday party so I was entirely dependent on YELP to guide me to a cake bakery. The order from the birthday boy was chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. I ordered a cake to serve 15-20. It was a classic looking, multi-layer round cake, very old school.(a good thing) As I was ordering I realized we might have some folks who didn't want a chocolate bomb so I had a couple dozen MINI cupcakes thrown in. The cupcakes went kayaking with us and were divine. If I hadn't known that I had picked them up at 10 am I would have thought they were literally fresh from the oven at 6pm. Around 8pm we cut into the cake and again it was so incredibly fresh! There was chocolate bits in the cake, the frosting was ultra choclately and the cake served 14 with leftovers. The adults in the group RAVED about the cake and the kids simply wolfed it down. Without fail this is the place to get cakes or cupcakes. It's a tiny bakery, easy to miss and really cupcakes are their game. Cakes are special order. I arrived around 10:30 am and my order was packed and waiting for me. I can't wait to for our next visit to Bend, I hear they ice the cupcakes on the spot if you walk in off the street! read more

My gluten-free cupcake was not fresh, but actually *frozen in the middle.

Decent cupcakes but nothing special to me. Love the variety of flavors and frostings and the cupcake was good, but not amazing. Service was okay, the employees were more focused on talking with each other than engaging with customers. read more

The cupcakes aren't bad, they are actually pretty decent but they just don't make up for the very rude an unwelcoming staff. The lady that served us did not welcome us, never smiled once, made us feel guilty for not paying with cash and seemed to be annoyed with the kids being in her store. I will not go back. There are other cupcake Options that are served with friendly smile, no need to put up with the poor service at Ida's. read more

I don't know why it's called a "cafe" cafe means coffee. They don't serve coffee drinks, just cupcakes. I'll be fair, they do have a great selection of flavors and frostings, this is really the only positive thing I can say. OMG they are soooo overpriced! An older woman with short grayish hair stood behind the counter when it was my turn. I was on a date with my little 2 year old nephew and he was really excited for a pretty cupcake pointing to ones behind the case. I asked for one and she snapped, "not for sale!" I felt her sense of urgency to rush me through my order So I asked for one similar. She gave him and plain one, :( it was very dry and stale. I'll never ever ever ever be back!!!!! read more

Stopped by and picked up 1/2 a dozen assorted kid sized cupcakes with icing for my grandson's birthday... awesome !!! So delicious!!

These cupcakes are good. Rich and flavorful, and obviously uses Betty Crocker or Sysco. NOT made from scratch.

This is, hands down, the best gluten free cupcake I have EVER had!! SOO good! Anytime I visit Bend, I will stop in at Ida's! You can pick from many different icing flavors as well. read more

Have loved Ida's since it opened in Bend. Been getting cupcakes for birthdays, holidays and a couple of weddings. Red Velvet got me through a long hospitalization. So happy that she has opened a third location! 738 Highland Ave. in Redmond. Go check it out! read more

My husband and I decided to try Ida's today. He got the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and I got the chocolate with raspberry frosting. They were both delicious!!! I picked up two cupcakes for my fiance's 40th birthday and they were excellent! I went in as soon as they opened on Sunday to make sure the full selection was available - it just makes sense; it's a bakery, and I'm sure the goal is not to have a ton of leftovers at the end of the day. The prices were very reasonable for the huge size of the cupcake and they're generous with the frosting. They have cards and single candles to buy as well, which was super convenient. I got a Happy Birthday candle and the woman at the register threw in a cute little plastic "party hat" for the top of he cupcake for free. I have family coming to visit this upcoming weekend and we'll be sure to stop by with my four year old nephew - it will make his morning! read more

For my birthday, my wife went to get us 2 cupcakes instead of baking a cake. After a few minutes she was greeted, asked what she wanted and she said " I want to order 2 cupcakes, the first is xxxxxxx type. The gal said ok and then began talking with other employees. 2-5 minutes pass with no further communication from any employee, my wife turned around and walked out. I'm sure they were all thrilled that they didn't have to do anything further except cash the paycheck on Friday. Too bad for Ida's. I hope others go somewhere else as well. read more

Sometimes a simple cupcake just hits the spot!! I often buy these as a last minute gift. They are delicious and easy to share, who doesn't love a cupcake?? The service could be a lil friendlier to be honest. That's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. read more

No complaints here. ..got here first thing in the a.m. and ordered 5 cupcakes. .they were delicious and the young gal at the counter was friendly, helpful, and patient as it took us a while to decide from all the great flavors! read more

The best thing about Ida's cupcake cafe is I can get a little gourmet cupcake for birthdays, so my husband and I don't have to eat a whole cake between the two of us. Better than Sprinkles Cupcakes in my opinion. Choose your own frosting and cupcake combo? Genius. And they were still gourmet looking even in the two mins that it took to prepare them! So dangerous that I live down the street... read more

It's okay, just as good as any bakery in town. When I walked in it didn't look like any bakery I had been in. There were only four cupcakes on display. You have to order from a chalk board. Not a tempting way to order food. I didn't like the fact you could only order a dozen small cupcakes in the same flavor with choice of frosting. The frosting choices were a little over the top, stick to the basics. People working were not overly friendly. The place never looks busy and I won't be going back. read more
