I contacted her a few weeks in advance. I was traveling to Oregon from Texas to celebrate our girls' birthdays. I mailed her the toppers for both the cake and 15 cupcakes. She was quick to respond and said she would be able to provide free delivery within the bend area which was perfect because the party was in bend. She was super nice in providing additional cupcake toppers as I ordered 24 cupcakes but didn't have enough toppers. She really went above and beyond any expectations I had. Her prices were competitive in comparison to other bakers in the area but ultimately she was the one with the most reasonable prices. The payment process was super easy too! The cakes were a huge hit at the party and everyone kept asking where I got such beautiful cakes from. The buttercream was soo good and the chocolate and vanilla cake were good too!! Plus, we tried the chocolate and cream cheese(?) on puff pastry dough, cinnamon pull aparts, bread sticks, hazelnut and ginger cookies and rosemary rolls. All had dryness around the edges. For reference, I worked the oven in a small bakery for seven years. Most small bakers are overly concerned about underbaking the center of their product. To compensate for thus fear they overbake. What they should be doing is turning the heat down and baking longer. Every oven is different. Experiment until you get it perfect and then do not vary. The top should be golden.
