Our project was split into multiple steps (because of us, not them) and they graciously planned around us and came back multiple times throughout the project. They even gave us the suggestion of starting the floors, and then coming back to finish them after we finished painting walls because of dust, debris, etc., to make sure we were happiest with the end result. When we had questions or any concerns, they were quick to call, give tips, and come back to assess or change something based on our preferences. They even gave us some of the product they used so we could match our baseboards and fill them the way they suggested. I would highly recommend them for any flooring project.

During the process some unanticipated issues came up and they showed flexibility and willingness to change the scope of the project and schedule accordingly. They are detail oriented. After we had them reinstall all baseboards there was one place we were not quite happy, they came back and fixed it. The end result was beautiful and it had been a great experience working with Serhii and his family crew! Northwest Flooring is definitely at the top of my list for any of our future hardwood flooring needs!

While Rydawell is good at cabinetry (they get 1 star for that), their foray into building out…read morecamper vans (i.e. Sprinter) has resulted in an extremely poor experience for me on the mechanical and quality elements. Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

Disappointing experience with their scheduling process…read more I had been seeing their ads on Facebook and reached out for an estimate to build a deck. During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

He spent his time helping us find the right hardwood color, brought multiple full-size samples to our house so we could compare everything in our own space, and offered very competitive pricing. His team is also incredibly skilled, they handled some challenging parts of our project, including matching the height of the new hardwood with the existing bathroom tile, and the final result looks seamless. When I sought estimates for this carpet replacement project on Yelp, Hardwood Plus was the first and fastest reply. Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is! Not only did they install a beautiful custom made railing on my interior stairs and the bridge that connects both sides of my upstairs, they also coordinated with their subcontractor, Prymych Home Services, to replace my carpeting with LVP flooring. City Bee ran both the railing and flooring projects so I had one quote, one contract and one project manager. Their price was very competitive, they did high quality work, and they finished in a timely manner. Oleksandr, the owner, project managed everything and made himself available all throughout the project. He was very responsive to all my questions and provided thorough answers so I could understand the technical aspects of the work.
