I got the macha latte which was pretty good. What I didn't like was that I had to constantly stir the drink so that it would cloud to the bottom. It was fun to mix the white and green liwyid together but then I had to constantly stir it. The taste was slightly bitter then usual and less creamy I think. The onky reason it was slightly more bitter was because I asked for less sugar which is what I prefer. We sat at the front so the wooden chairs and table weren't as comfortable but I'm sure if you go inside the tables are more better. read more

Cute cafe. The cafe is kind of hidden in Chinatown, one would typically walk pass and not notice it but the interior is very nice. The menu is pretty small. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea, which wasn't too bad. My drink tasted really milky and I would've preferred a stronger tea taste to it. It's pretty quiet inside so its a good place to get some studying or reading done. The sitting area is pretty big and there are some plants here and there. I would come here again for the atmosphere instead of the tea though. read more

I went here by chance and it was not a mistake! I got the roselle rose tea. It was different from the bubble tea places I have been to before so I was confused at first, but the staff was really nice and helped me through every step. The roselle rose tea was their own special blend. Taste: They use a drip method to infuse their tea and blend it with the milk. It made the tea very flavorful and fragrant but it went well with the tea. It was not super sweet it only had the taste of the flowers. It was really creamy too because of the way they added the tea to the milk. Atmosphere: It would b the perfect place to study or catch up with friends! They have desserts too! The dining area is separate from the ordering area so it was quieter and more calming. I would recommend it for any one looking for a nice break! read more

They have (imo) the best milk tea in town! the tea is really high quality, although if you drink bubble tea just for the tapioca maybe look elsewhere. The rose jasmine milk tea is divine! read more

Zen hide-out in Toronto. The perfect study and date spot. Their tea bar/back area is so peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. The service exceeded my expectations. When there was a mix-up about my order, they immediately gave me a second drink - no questions asked. Very kind baristas. Must-try: Pu-er tea with or without cheese foam (they steep the teas in front of you) and snow beauty (gushing fruit/cream-filled mochis with flavours like pineapple + salted oolong, taro + coconut and mango). I bring all my friends here to try it. read more

The place is bigger, fancier and cooler than one could tell by just looking at the front. The pudding desserts are really outstanding. The decoration and overall feeling of the place is really calm and comfortable. Go there if you want to be transported to an elegant state of gastro bliss. read more

NOT JUST a bubble tea shop! This place is a hidden gem if you're curious to experience traditional Chinese tea ceremony. I sat at the tea bar and the tea master explained the range of teas they carry, you get to pick your tea and your tea cup, they have several beautifully crafted Chinese tea cups to choose from. Watching him prepare the cups and the tea is a relaxing experience, he only brews a little less than a cup of tea at a time, when you're finished, he'll brew another run for you. It's a lot of work, but if you want to taste tea at its freshest, this is the way to do it. TAKE YOUR DATE HERE I took my date here yesterday, which happened to be the Chinese Valentine's day, Icha is owned by a young couple, I struck up a conversation with them and found out tea is their passion, but they also make AMAZING dessert. My date and I ordered the rose jasmine mousse, the fragrant flavour works well with my tea and it's not overly sweet. beautiful tea, great dessert and calm ambiance made this location a unique experience for a date; on our way out, she handed my date a beautiful stem of rose and said for our Valentine's day. What a lovely gesture by this lovely young couple. read more

My friend and I ordered ice rose jasmine milk tea and iced osmanthus oolong milk tea. There is only one size available and tapioca is extra. Compared to every other bubble tea place, Icha Tea is one of the more expensive bubble tea place (around $7 after tax). With this type of price, I expect quality to come through. I'm sure they use premium tea leaves but it doesn't excuse the fact that both of our milk teas were garbage. The drinks were essentially 20% tea and 80% milk. You can't even taste the tea. The drinks tasted like milk. If I wanted to drink milk, I would just buy it at the supermarket for $4 not $7. Also, the tapoica was so hard to chew on. What a waste of money. Not sure how one can screw up milk teas this bad. Avoid this place if you wanna drink any type of milk bubble tea. read more

Adorable tea bar and lovely service but not the best bubble tea place. Love how they brew the tea in front of you but would've liked them to brew it for a few more minutes. However, the boba was not tasty at all. Was very disappointed how plain the boba tasted. No sugar or sweetness to them at all. Would've been a perfect bubble tea if the boba was sweeten. read more

Icha Tea got some high quality teas! Atmosphere: When you enter, the front area has a casual setting. The decor is modern, clean, and simple. If you do decide to stay in, there are seats in the back. The back area is dimmer with a relaxing atmosphere. The décor is darker in the seating area and it is a nice spot to enjoy some tea. Drinks: They have a selection of drinks and they also offer a tea tasting experience at their tea bar. My favorites include the matcha latte and the rose jasmine tea. read more

Impressive tea place. Smaller selection than many tea places (fewer fruit options, toppings, and slush drinks) but very nice space, with a tea-serving bar in the back. A few desserts available as well. read more

This place is a bit over rated the drinks needed more flavour but the store was nicely decorated

Great place to get boba tea. The employees make fantastic recommendations for first timers. They have various options to choose from. The employees ate very kind and will answer any question you have. read more

I love this place! So glad my friends and I decided to come here (out of all the other bubble tea places around) It has such a cool little vibe going. You walk in and you can order at the register, they brew the tea right in front of you. Luckily when we walked in, no one was around and we were the only ones at the register... we took quite some time trying to decide which drinks we want. The places actually looks small when you first walk in, but there is actually a tea place in the back .. you can go back there and chill and spend some quality time with your friends. Also this place .. which was unique (besides brewing real tea) is having 'cheese foam' as an option .. WHY WOULD I WANT CHEESE FOAM? That sounds disgusting .. especially for a drink! But come to a surprise .. it was actually NOT BAD. it was not super sweet and not super creamy ... try it if you dare! ;) read more

The so-so bubble tea itself is a 3 at best but their regular tea and the tea room at the back is what will get me to come back again. The staff are friendly and they use the right temperature to brew their tea (not scorching hot nor lukewarm like most bbt places). If you love jasmine tea like I do, please get the rose jasmine tea with less sugar. You won't be disappointed. Also, the tea room at the back has a wide seating area furnished with vintage styled Chinese chairs. Along the walls, there are beautiful displays of Japanese tea sets and Chinese pu'er tea + bookcases of various asian tea pieces. There's also a tea station with tapestry that elevated the whole atmosphere that I'd have never expected if I haven't dropped by. If you want to sit down to chat with friends or enjoy some tea while working, they have free wifi too. Totally rad. read more

Discovering a gem! It is so deep inside has a lot of spaces. It is a really nice place to chill with friend together.

Great matcha milk tea...yes I am one of the match obsessed. They have a great selection of teas in general as well. The desserts looked really great but I didn't get one. Just stopped in for the tea. There is also a ceremonial tea bar in the back which I will have to try the next time I am in town. Definitely a place to try if you have never been here. read more

Very milky, slight jasmine tea taste. No rose taste at all (rose jasmine milk tea with less sugar)

Came here because I was in the area and heard great reviews on this place. Got the Rose Black Milk Tea with tapioca and half sweet. I was really disappointed with how watered down it was, and barely tasted the rose tea flavour. As well, the tapioca was flavourless and was as though they had it overnight. Paying $7 for a watered down milk cup is not worth the trip and price, so I don't think I would be coming back again for their bubble teas. read more

Takes longer to make because they actually make the tea. But the flavour just isn't there. Feels like drinking diluted milk.

Great tea and friendly service! Atmosphere is nice and quiet, great for drinking tea. It also has a traditional tea selection (that I have not yet tried). read more

This place doesn't deserve a 4.5 star. My friend and I ordered two classic milk tea and both were super watered down. Like I couldn't even taste the tea, it was just water and grass jelly. If you are charging around $5 per drink shouldn't you make sure that the drink is high quality and at least decent? We were supposed to go to CoCo but ended up at this place cause the it has good review but wow I am so disappointed. Like I hate Real Fruit Bubble tea but I think that is even better than Icha Tea. Do not recommend. read more

All of the teas, even iced, are brewed fresh. I got the iced jasmine rose tea with boba and ordered it "less sweet", which I regret because the boba was flavorless. The location is really clean and huge. The staff is really nice. read more

Was a very pleasant surprise to find this tea shop in Chinatown. Had the Rose Jasmine milk bubble tea and was surprised at how fragrant the tea was and subtly sweet - impressed that they brewed the tea right in front of me. The Taro Mochi dessert was amazing!! Had to eat it right away since freshly made to order - I am craving to go back and try it again with their other desserts. Will definitely come back again read more

Honestly, my friend and I wanted to find a nice cafe where we could eat good dessert and study at the same time. Let me tell you how chill and peaceful the store is, it's way better than a library! In addition, their milk tea and tea are the best, very makes you want to relax and learn about the tea culture lool. Oh, the dessert is as delicious as how they look so y'all should go and try! Very good and highly RECOMMEND! read more

Passing by Spadina on the way to Kensington, i stumbled upon this gem of a place with my friends and its prolly my favourite tea spot in town! Walking inside, the place is beautiful with its nice aesthetics with a huge seating on the back of the store so groups of people be easily accommodated. The staff was also great but the drink was the thing the got me hooked. I got the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea which was a banger in my books. I instantly fell in love in my first sip and i will have to try out all their drink but im sure i will keep coming back for the Roasted Oolong:) read more

Best boba I've had in Toronto. Fresh matcha, super friendly staff, awesome atmosphere

Love the traditional Chinese style fresh tea! Also the dessert is brilliant and not that sweet! Mush try the jasmine tea pudding!

I saw a YouTube video on cheese foam and i really wanted to try it. I was so happy to see that this cafe offered it. When you first see the cafe, it looks small and unassuming. However, inside the cafe was very modern and pretty. It was quiet and spacious. I ordered a four season drink with cheese foam. The drink and foam was tasty. I do wish there was a mechanism that could give you both flavours of tea and cheese foam at the same time. read more

Sweet little shop on Spadina. Staff were knowledgeable and gave us suggestions depending on our preferences - I'm fairly 'newbie' with this type of tea. I had the Osmanthus Oolong Tea, no too much sugar, not too much ice and it was perfect. It was steeped and mixed right in front of us, fascinating to watch the process. As it is half a block from our office, we will be visiting again. read more

I came here with a friend and the ambiance of the place is great. It's perfect for groups or even if you are alone. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Tea and it tasted great. I think that the price is reasonable. It's also aesthetic. I recommend this place and I'll definitely visit again. read more
