First of all, the people who worked here was so nice and had a cute little cafe. I'm from out of town and wanted to try their sushi. It is VERY fresh. The wait time was about 15 minutes after ordering. the amazing roll- is AMAZING. I practically inhaled it. The philadelphia roll was totally normal , you can get this roll anywhere with reasonable price. I was expecting better considering all the five-star reviews. The friendly staff helped make the experience good, but it did take a long time to get our food. There were only two people working, so I don't know if they were short-staffed or if this is the usual. I was surprised how long it took to get our food. I had the chicken teriyaki bento box with the California roll option. The portions were pretty generous, and everything was good. Not amazing, but good. The chicken teriyaki had a pretty good flavor, the sauce for the dumplings was really good, and the California roll was fresh and good. My wife had the Philly Roll and she enjoyed that. Their menu is pretty extensive and a little eclectic. It feels like they have a little bit of everything, which is great in that I'm sure pretty much anyone could find something that appealed to them. I don't know that I would seek this place out in the future, but if I was in the mood for sushi I might stop by again. This used to be my favorite Açaí bowl place . That has changed today. These bowls are not inexpensive, so I expect quality in items that are supposed to be made fresh by nature. The bowl had the açaí premade, poured in a plastic container and frozen. It was totally frozen to the bowl and the color was a dull lifeless color like a human tongue. They layer of granola on top was way to much, and at least half of the fruit on top was clearly out of a can or something. It was not fresh. The boba had brown stuff all over the inside of the cup. And the poke bowl salmon was tiny bit and didn't taste right. The bowl just didn't look or taste anything like it used too. Way too much mayo based sauce all over it. The two bowls are actually inedible, especially the açaí bowl and is the first açaí bowl I will ever throw in the trash after trying three bites. $40 worth of food straight in the trash! I should have checked it before I left, but I've never had any issue until now. We will not be back as it is very clear this was not just a bad day but a complete change in business and quality. read more

Even with all the research, our restaurant experiences on this 4-day Nashville vacation was pretty sad. We ended up visiting Ice Point Cafe on our way home based on a quick search for boba teas that's on our way. Lucky for us, it turned out to be a highlight of the trip in terms of food! Super friendly staff and reasonably priced for what you get (apparently hard to come by around here!) with a nice variety. We got a couple of drinks, a couple of make your own bowls, a bilgogi bento box, and some spring rolls. Everything was made fresh and overall very tasty! Drinks are fine, and they have some of the better executed sushi rolls in the South Brentwood area... (For the price point). My kids, pound the salmon and avocado rolls (they called them Alaska roles). The spicy tuna is a little disappointing in that they add rice to the mix... We haven't been to this place in month and decided to order lunch. We got their Bulgogi Bento, Tuna & Avocado Rolls, Crab Rangoon and a Passion Fruit Bubble (Boba) tea. Seriously this place does not disappoint and I really feel the food even got better. The portions are generous, and plenty to share. The Bulgogi was great and the meat pieces were huge. Their gyoza is so good and pan fried perfectly, also love the sauce that comes with it. The Crab Rangoon were big and delicious. The rolls had a generous sized fresh tuna in them and was delicious. Alright. Based on their current Yelp rating, I had pretty high hopes going into the Ice Point for lunch, as I had my eyes on a 3-4 roll sushi brunch. Well, it's really nothing more than slightly better than decent grocery store sushi (but still not as good as say, Wegman's sushi for those familiar with Wegman's grocery). When we walked in, none of the fish was actually in their small Hoshizaki-style fish cooler - it was sitting directly on the countertop. I was hungry from a long morning of driving, so I gambled and ordered anyway. Not surprisingly, the salmon in my spicy salmon roll had a slight hint of fishy aftertaste - right on the edge. The eel quality in the eel avocado roll was warmed up and okay - not the worst, but definitely not the best - it could have been toasted a bit more. The shrimp tempura roll was satisfying and as it should be, as was the standard California roll. Best part of this very casual quick-serve sushi experience was their willingness and ability to use brown rice instead of white rice in the rolls. There's not a lot wrong with Ice Point Cafe, but if you are familiar with 5-star-Yelp-rated quick-serve poke/sushi in Los Angeles, Vegas, or NYC, you might not be thrilled with this place. For instance, the crab salad in Ice Point's spicy crab and poke is not finely shredded BTW, it is just pulled-apart surimi sticks - which is disappointing. The finely shredded crab salad you see on the West coast and Hawaii makes all of the difference. (The construction of the crab salad is how I decide whether I order poke at a poke spot or not.) Pulling apart surimi is not even close to being the same. Worth a stop if you have a basic sushi craving. Just have basic expectations! read more

I happened to walk by this place after getting my nails done. It's a small "hole in the wall" but the food and bubble tea is worth a visit. I ordered the dynamite shrimp which was made fresh. The serving was enough for two and comes with rice on the side. This golden pieces of shrimp are fried to crispy perfection and tossed in a spicy cream sauce. It's amazing!!! Then I ordered the peach tea with lychee jelly and drank it so fast I wanted another one. It was cold and read reaching and sweetened just enough to take it to the next level. Every single item that Joe makes is delicious and top notch. Everything seems extremely fresh and he pays attention to detail and ingredients when assembling his dishes. He doesn't skimp with portions or size of rolls. If he's busy, he will give you a time estimate, but if it's a tad longer, it is WELL worth the wait. Everything tasted and smelled overtly fishy to the point where I didn't even eat most of it. The edamame I ordered were either falling apart or chewy and brown. It also took a solid 50 minutes from time of ordering for my food to be ready. They're known for the poke so I figured the sushi rolls would be decent too, but oh my god, just terrible. read more

This place is GOLD! Coming from California we miss so much poke bowls, acai, and smoothies with boba! Now we don't need to go far. The food is delicious! You can tell that the staff really care about the quality of the product and making sure you will get the best of the best! By the way, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have wifi and board games, which I thought was really cool because you can play with your family while you waiting for your order! Plus, the place is spotlessly clean and smell fresh! Don't neglect the folks off 96 - they got good stuff out there including Ice Point. With the amount of traffic in Cool Springs during lunch, you'll probably get out in less time from this part of town. Off the rant - how was the food? Everything was great quality, the ordering process was smooth and I like their POS system which helps for a speedy transaction. They had my keto option which was just mixed greens as a base then the fish on top. Great options for all of the base/protein/sauces and the options with crab meat and avocado. I enjoyed it!
