I purchased the package of 3 micro-needling sessions which was the way to go since it saves some $. Overall though her prices are at or below every other local place I've checked. Britt is so kind and easy to talk to, and she does a great job of explaining the process and the products she's using. The micro-needling was pretty simple and quick. It's slightly painful on the first session, but the numbing cream she uses helps with that and it gets better with successive sessions. She takes photos before and after so she can keep track of your progress and recommend treatments or products based on your needs. She doesn't sell products there which always makes me feel better, like she's really recommending the best thing for you, not just because she's selling it. Healing went well and my skin looks better than ever! She says she can age you backwards and honestly, I believe it. She does a good job of explaining aftercare and answering any questions you may have. She also does a quick check up two weeks after your first session just to make sure things are going well. I believe the boutique is currently in a transitional space while she waits on another spot to open up nearby. I can't wait to visit once that happens, I'm sure it will be even more relaxing and lovely. Next up I'm going to try micro-needling on my neck and chest to reduce wrinkling and up collagen production. I had no idea you could treat those areas, I'm excited to see results!

Salon 6 is just north of the main Broad Ripple village off of College Ave. My favorite thing about this salon (other than the haircuts I get) is the overall atmosphere. It has a small boutique vibe that is relaxed and unpretentious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and offer you a drink of choice while you wait. The waiting area has a little bit of a New Age feel with some beautiful stones and crystals and local artisan jewelry. It immediately feels very relaxing. They have a few complementary add on services you can choose from, and I especially enjoy the Vitamin D lamp in the winter when I'm missing the sunshine. My stylist, Heidi, has given me some of the best haircuts I've ever had, hands down. When I booked my first appointment with her she took the time to talk about what I wanted and ask me questions. After allowing my hair to grow for a couple years and really doing nothing with it, I was looking for a "long shag" cut which I had asked for from other stylists at other salons that never seemed to turn out the way I envisioned it. Lucky for me, Heidi is spectacular at shag cuts and also specializes in razor cuts, which can be difficult to find. I told her I was ready for a change and to go for it and the results were even better than what I had in mind. Since then I've received multiple compliments on my cuts with an added comment "that's the kind of cut I've been wanting and I can't find someone to do it right!" My visits are always pleasant and relaxing. I never feel pressured to chat or make small talk, but when we do it's easy and laid back. I always leave with a fresh cut and style that makes me feel like I just treated myself to something luxurious without the feeling of a stuffy, ostentatious "luxury" salon where everyone leaves with basically the same haircut, color, extensions, etc. Salon 6 not only meets what I'm looking for in a salon experience, but Heidi takes it to the next level with her killer haircuts.

I got my pedicure done and issues didn't start until the nail tech couldn't paint a tiny red heart on my big toe after 3 attempts . I said, no worries, I'll go without. I was ok with just the plain polish on just my toes. I got finished at 11:18am and noticed Tommy was having someone else sit in his chair. Confused I spoke up and showed my confirmation. She said oh must've been some mix up or confusion. After 15 minutes of waiting she offered me the man that couldn't paint a heart of my feet to then do my nails, I quickly said no, he can't do the style I want. She said don't worry, I will step in when it's time. Because it was getting late, I agreed. After about 6 minutes I said, you are aware I'm getting gel extensions right? The lady then informed me didn't know how. So I had to sit about 15 minutes. A nice older lady tried to help but she struggled. I have large bubbles under majority of my nails and they're sore. Because of this, the polish is blotchy. The lady who was rude from the beginning stepped in when it was time for the design and she couldn't do a simple heart either. So I said never mind, it's ok. I'll go without. I was then told I was being difficult which confused me because I'm a paying customer. I asked for her to do one final wipe down on my nails before a lot of lent from their towels was stuck to it. She quickly said no, you get what you asked for. I said hey, I love this place, I'm not trying to be rude. I just want them wiped down. So she finished up. Before I left I turned around and said. All of this could've been avoided if Tommy was doing my nails like I requested online. Tommy then waved at me and I left. I hate this because he really is the best. Whoever the young lady is running the schedule is quite rude. I don't know if I'm going to return.
