Crab curry and jasmine rice with Portuguese wine!
    Shin Yeong S.

Ive had a lot of good food in Lisbon but... the only place Ill remember to make sure and visit when I return in a few months is this place. The reason? Crab Curry. You got huge chuncks of perfectly cooked crab in a Moroccan curry with a side of perfect Jasmine rice with a hiny if cinnamon and crisped onion. The crab was freshly peeled and did not cone from a bag...make no mistake, this was not crab flavored curry! Wine options are good and unlike many upscale restaurants here you can get wine by the glass. It was exclusively portuguese wine but no complaints on that from me!

Unique to find menu space devoted to Mozambique, but it did not wow with the notable exception of the veggie burger. It's better than most for vegetarians. Great location makes up for the prices and lackluster flavors. The adjoining ice cream shop is excellent, but similarly pricey. Service was efficient and beer selection was pretty decent. With the Time Out Market across the street, the location is what's keeping them in the game.

We stopped here for a coffee break and it was a nice find. There's a patio outside that looks out to the water and there's also an attached gelateria. Make sure if you need to use the restroom, you let them know and they'll open the door for you.

    Yes! These were amazing!

It was packed with people, which was a good sign. We enjoyed all our dishes, especially the tiger prawns, octopus, and seafood rice. The sangria was average. Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.

The fact that my husband and I got there before anyone else came, allowed us to have the most amazing conversation with the staff that works there!! Faysal greeted us and was very welcoming! As we ate dinner, Bernardo who is a waiter there, told us the history of the building etc and since no one else was there, we talked about our families and that he going to be a veterinarian...and that he has something else coming up that is going to be exciting. All through our dinner we chatted with him (as if we were having dinner at his house) and enjoyed every minute of the conversation!! It was the best part of the evening! We even got to meet Miguel the chef, and were happy to tell him his food was amazing! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!!! They only charge 19.60 euro for all you can eat!!!! I hope a lot of people read this and go to Rosa da Rua!!!

The restaurant was quaint and intimate , with a small buffet that easily fills you up. There were many options from a beef stew to a curry, a noodle dish with bacon, salad, and other options. They even explained the options to us. I truly wish we had more time in Lisbon because I would have definitely returned to try it again as the options differ nightly. I would definitely recommend this to all in Lisbon.
