Ibex did a tear down and replaced our roof 6 years ago. They weren't the cheapest, but I hired them anyway and they exceeded my expectations. I'm not an easy customer, but they answered all my questions and didn't blink when I asked them to remove two skylights and replace several plywood sheets that didn't HAVE to be replaced (for a nominal fee). Fast forward to a week ago, and the furnace exhaust cap just blew off. It was original to the 28 y/o house and not included in the roof replacement. I called two contractors because I was afraid to do it myself (it's a high pitched roof). IBEX quoted a lower price and replaced it the next day. They took photos to show me exactly how it was installed. I couldn't be happier and I'm glad they were able to complete the job right away at a fair price. read more

I called for a quote and got a 1 hour+ sales pitch. They rave about their products and reviews and trash other competitors. My price for roof replacement of a 2000 sq ft roof started at $31,000! and through bullshit reasons, got it down to $23,000. After I decided to go with another company they got it down to $21k. They were still off by $4k from 2 other quotes I got from quality companies. Very happy I didn't go with these guys. They could possibly do good work but they have terrible and dishonest closing practices. One positive I will say is that they did tarp my roof with missing shingles quickly for me when I was going to go with them. My husband and I have noted the different roofing companies that have been replacing the roofs in our neighborhood. The homes in our location were built in the 90's. With the cold, wet, and windy weather in the Pacific Northwest, the viability of most roofs are around 25 years. Our home was built in 1997, so it was time for our roof to be replaced. We received estimates from three roofing companies. All were also recommended by the company that has been treating our roof for moss, every other year, for the past several years. We have several large trees, of differing species, surrounding our property. Moss is part of living in the Pacific Northwest. Of the three roofing companies we called, IBEX provided the best customer service, from beginning to end. The receptionist answered my call promptly, and set up the appointment quickly. More quickly than my husband and I were ready for, which is a rarity. Once we set up our appointment to a date and time that worked with both of our schedules, Joe came over to do the inspection. He took pictures, and set up another appointment to go over his recommendations and what materials were available. We received an emailed estimate promptly. Compared to other roofing estimates, IBEX had the most detailed, and thorough estimate. Joe also provided us brochures of the different types of shingles available. We made our choices, accepted their bid, and signed their contract. They were ready to install within a couple of days. We, however, were busy, so we made the appointment further out. Plus, we needed HOA approval. We liked that their roofing contract included an infinite amount of board replacement, if needed. The other companies were piece-meal bids (extra cost per board). Johnny was the roofing project manager. IBEX brought their own porta-potty for the workers, and their own trailer for the roofing debris. All part of their bid. Our roof was replaced, along with our two skylights (part of the bid), and boards that needed replacing, were replaced. We liked the metal valleys they installed. Helps leaves to not stick to the tiles. IBEX installed extra vents to prevent moisture from accumulating in our attic. IBEX delivered on their contract! FIVE stars!! When our roof replacement was done, one of our neighbors across the street asked us how we liked it. We told them we were very satisfied with IBEX. That's when they told us that their roof was recently replaced by IBEX as well. A neighbor on the street behind us, also had their roof replaced by IBEX. IBEX's bid was reasonable, considering everything that they did. Cheapest roofing estimates are rarely best. IBEX wasn't the cheapest bid. When considering what's best for your home, you should choose a bid that is complete. Also, choosr a reputable roofing company. I researched their reviews on Google, Facebook, and Yelp. I checked out their BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating. I did my homework on checking out their company. IBEX is licensed, insured, and bonded. Their warranty was the best offered of the three companies we received bids from. The other two roofing companies were also reputable. But IBEX was the best fit for our family's roofing needs. Ibex replaced my roof in 2018. They recently did a roof inspection upon request of my credit union while doing a drive by appraisal. They found moisture and mold in the attic and started a claim for faulty shingles. Upon follow up inspections they found additional leaks around flashing. They refuse to take responsibility for anything other than the faulty shingles and placing additional caulking around flashing that had visible light through the roof. They are claiming that the mold is due to inadequate ventilation and that although they designed and installed the ventilation it is not covered by the 25 year workmanship guarantee. read more

Our brick chimney used only for our gas furnace was in very poor shape. We had 6 companies come out to give us advice on replacing or repairing it. We received a wide array of suggestions with lots of upselling going on. We settled on Ibex Roofing. They actually went up on the roof and took videos for us to see. Luke from Ibex Roofing explained the best procedure was to remove our old brick chimney and replace it with a B-vent for our gas furnace. After considering all our options, we opted for the B-vent, and we are incredibly satisfied with the results. The removal process was straightforward, albeit labor-intensive. Starting from the top, the bricks were dismantled and carefully removed. It was a bit of a messy job, but Tim and Logan of Ibex Roofing did an excellent job of keeping the debris contained and protecting the surrounding area. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail when patching the roof afterward. The new shingles blended seamlessly with the existing roof, and you'd never know there had been a chimney there. The installation of the B-vent was smooth and efficient. The contractors chose a high-quality vent that was appropriately sized for my furnace. They took great care to ensure that the vent was securely installed and properly sealed at the roof. My contract was finalized on July 1 and Jeff, their project supervisor, visited me that day. They started two days later (I needed a day to remove stuff in their way), they started 7/3, worked 7/5 and finished early 7/6. At the end of each day they cleaned the site of all trash and stored their equipment. Their crew of five, led by Oliver, worked very well together and each member knew what to do and how to do it. This was not some made-up crew rounded up for this job. They handled the curves I threw them very well and did all they could to meet my requests and still hold to a tight schedule. To start off, the worker misplaced the location of one of the sun tunnels. I work from home, instead of walking a few steps to my office, he went ahead and made his own determination to put in wrong spot. A yr later, I am reclining in chair, looking up and see about 20 dead bugs on the window. I called and they came out a week later, June 5th 2023. The worker supposedly did what was necessary to fix problem. Said the tunnel wasn't properly sealed and fixed it, sucked out all the bugs. Wish I could post pics. Because NOW the top fell from ceiling and some sort of rubber seal. I am very disappointed in the lack quality and customer care. Shameful. No pride in the work. Tried to just get an estimate on a new roof. High pressure sales tactics took more of my time. Signed the contract to do the roof then ended up canceling because we found a company that used the same quality materials but got free gutters. When we canceled the contract, Ibex salesman started slinging mud at the company we chose and kept trying to keep us with them. They said they had an "apples to apples" guarantee to match the bid and continued to talk smack about the other company. Come to find out Ibex stretched the truth about the other company. We had an issue in our attic and we didn't know if it was a roof leak, siding leak, or just poor ventilation. After reading reviews, I called IBEX to get their opinion. I called and got our appointment scheduled by the office and Caleb came out to inspect our situation. When we scheduled the appointment, the process was explained to us. We were told that they would come out, inspect our attic and present us with a no pressure quote that would be good for a full year. Reality did not live up to their explanation. Caleb inspected our roof and attic, determined that we just had poor ventilation and not an actual leak. He took a few minutes to draw up a quote and then asked if he could come in and sit down with me to go over the quote. He started out by talking about the company, showing how they have so many 5 star reviews, explained cleanup after and then what his proposed solution was. The quote was pretty expensive and he just wanted to put in 2 edge vents. The quote was $4800 and I told him that I would have to talk to my wife, who was at work at the time. He then said that he could take 10% off if we agreed to have work start today! I told him that I still needed to talk to my wife and he told me I could take a picture of the quote on his iPad and text it to her. After a few minutes of awkward silence while I text my wife, he said that he had to go to another job site and that he would email us the quote to sign. Less than 5 minutes after he left, he called me and said he could extend the discount if we signed the quote by Friday, which was 2 days later. From then on, we got phone calls from this company every few days to check up on us and to see if we wanted to sign the quote. We ended up not going with this company. It had nothing to do with the scope of the work, it had everything to do with how they handled our estimate. When we were explained that there would be no pressure, and then we are pressured to make a decision that very day, it makes me feel a few things. 1. If they are able to throw a 10% discount at you just like that, they are not giving you their fairest offer to begin with, and 2. When you are pressuring someone to make a decision on an expensive repair like this, it feels a little deceptive. Like they are trying to pull a fast one on you so you can't find a better solution or price. This is unfortunately not a company I would do business with in the future. read more

I was looking for great roofing company. I scheduled 5 estimates with different companies. IBEX Roof was 3rd on my list. Kyle came and did presentation that absolutely sold me. I didn't even waited for the 2 remaining companies and their estimates. Kyle was professional and friendly. Next stop was Johnny the project manager. Johnny contacted me to introduce himself and walked me thru what will be next. Johnny explained everything clearly and in timely manner. Again being very professional and attentive to whatever questions I had. All was scheduled for 11/23/22. Fidel and Don arrived on time, introduced themselves and went straight to work. Amazing work by 2 hard workers. They finished at 4:30pm and came back on Thanksgiving ( I had no problem with that) to dov the final touch ups and clean up. The only contractor I've had that refused to provide an estimate based on speaking to me instead of my fiance (the homeowner). I have scheduled every estimate and chosen the contractors for the past 16 years I've lived here, and again, have NEVER had a company refuse an estimate until IBEX. My fiance finds this equally as troublesome, except his first thought is sexism, that they don't want to talk to me because I'm female. Where we stand is that he refuses to do business with companies that won't work with me as the primary contact. They will say it's for liability reasons, but still refused to schedule an estimate, even though he would be home for the estimate itself. read more

It's a complete disaster from the 1st day. I was told by the sales person Isaiah that they provide a double tarp 360* protection around the house, no subcontractors will be used and they would also clean out the vents from the roof so there wouldn't be any debris left in there from them. Roofers start ripping off the old roof and there is 2 small tarps out and not the tarps all around as promised. Then Oregon OSHA shows up at my house because the crew was not wearing safety harnesses while on the roof. They dropped pieces os shingles down the kitchen exhaust vent and I turned the fan on while cooking lunch and it's making a terrible noise. I went outside and said you dropped something down the vent. He says " I know, it's a piece of shingles and we can't reach it, you'll have to get it out from below " are you kidding me!! They also put the wrong color shingle on . Next was the gutter people which is still owned by Ibex. This crew comes out and rips the old gutters out and didn't clean up anything but the old gutters. All the old hardware such as nails, screws and spacers are left throughout the yard. They parked in the yard but I told them not to go past the 2nd tree and when you leave to back out and absolutely not to go through the yard. As you can see in the pictures they went through the yard . The gutter were installed wrong, they were blasting the music from the truck and installed the wrong gutter guards which are still on the roof along with the wrong shingle. Next day someone else came out to finish what the other crew did and even he screwed things up. Screws on the gutter guards not in all the way, screws left on the ground and a missing section of gutter guard. Now a 3rd crew comes out because I refused to let the others back out. They had to redo the whole gutters because the slopes were wrong and the sealant was also wrong. This crew says " these subcontractors are just not up to par with how they do things" then I ask them "I thought you guys don't use subcontractors?" He's like oops. When I asked my project manager Johnny if those were subcontractors he stated yes. There's to much work for just them and didn't give any other reason as to why I was told "no subcontractors ". I had stepped on a staple as you can see in the pictures that got infected and then developed staph infection. I spent 11 days in the hospital fighting to keep from losing my foot. My only point of contact was my project manager. I notified him that I was in the hospital and how bad it was and told him to have higher up contact me but no one did. No one even called to check in with me at all. My yard is still not fixed, I missed almost a month from work dealing with a severe foot infection and things still aren't resolved. I've also yet to hear from the owner. Do yourself a favor and don't use these people. read more

Reasonable prices and good service. Had moss growing on the edges of my north side roof shingles. They were on time for the estimate and did a nice job removing the moss. The only critique I have is for several weeks after the job was completed I had roofing materials falling on my outdoor furniture every time it rained but in all fairness to IBEX...when I called to have them come back to make sure the gutters were clean and to check on the roof again, they were very responsive. Over Christmas, I discovered that there was a leak in my roof (fun Xmas gift from the universe, ugh). I was aware that my roof was 20-25 years old, and I was planning to replace it soon-ish, but the leak moved that up to ASAP. I had previously received an estimate from another company a few months ago, but decided to get a few more quotes before making my decision. Out of the five roofing companies I contacted, IBEX was the clear standout. They were the only company to offer a detailed breakdown of exactly what was included in the bid. Their numbers were lower than the others, and every member of the IBEX team that I've interacted with in person, over the phone, or via email has been professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. No nonsense, no pressure, no wasting anyone's time. (One other company I had met with spent 3 hours trying to pitch me on their services, and they've called me almost everyday since then. Another company took forever to confirm an inspection date, and by the time they did, my re-roof was already completed by IBEX.) It took about a day and a half to re-roof my home, and nothing on my property was damaged in any way. There were wind storms a couple days after the new roof was installed, and after I found a loose shingle on my property, IBEX sent someone out for a second post-job inspection. Turns out that was shingle was from my neighbor's roof, not mine. I'm a first time homeowner, and even though I've had other contracting work done, this is my first project at this scale. We just had our roof and gutters replaced by IBEX/Happygutters and it turned out great. Cailen was the project manager and was in great communication with us thorough the entire process. They were more pricey than other companies, but also offered a higher quality material and a longer warranty. They were able to get us on the schedule within a week or so, whereas other companies were going to make us wait 6+ weeks. The crew stayed on schedule the entire time and they were very nice. We had been needing a new roof for a long time. We weren't even sure we could last another winter with the old (20 years) roof we had. We called Ibex and Cody came out to give us a bid. He was super informative, helpful and straightforward. Cody explained all the issue we had with the old roof - which did NOT meet any codes or standards and he gave us all the product information and detail of what IBEX used and how it was applied. After getting several bids - We went with IBEX Roof and definitely do not regret it! IBEX was able to get us in right away (less than a week from the initial contact & bid visit). The crew was lead by Jeremy and they were very professional, efficient, timely, respectful and tidy! They laid out tarps, to collect any falling debris, on our deck and front porch. They went over the grounds with a magnetic "vacuum" and collected anything that may have missed the tarps or debris trailer. IBEX also provided the trailer (NOT A DUMPSTER - which could leave cracks and scrapes on the driveway concrete) and hauled all the debris away. IBEX finished our roof in 3 days (2700 sq ft. of roofing materials+/-) just as it started to rain. Very satisfied with IBEX roof. We had 'signed off" on their after completion inspection- however, then after that sign off, we had a couple of concerns. I contacted the owner (Kirk) and they sent out their supervisor (Jesus) and he fixed what few concerns we had and also made it very clear that "we aren't happy unless you are happy." We are senior citizens who not re-roof educated so we really didn't understand what to expect. We had our home built 22 years ago- and are still in touch with our builder. He totally agreed with what Jesus told us (using nails now instead of staples as he did 22 years ago). Times change! They were so organized and efficient about the process- as to what to expect, when materials would be dropped off, etc. Very professional which seems to be hard to find these days. I'd give 7 stars if I could. IBEX was as professional and personable as it gets. We needed a new roof pretty badly. It was a huge job - a large roof with multiple curves and corners, a couple of steep areas, oh and the need to rip off 3 existing layers of shakes and composite shingles and fully resheath the roof. It scared off more than one roofing company. I ended up with 5 quotes that were a really broad range. IBEX wasn't the cheapest but was also way below the high quotes. What impressed me most was the time they spent (with me, on the roof, in the attic, taking pictures and videos) making sure they got it right, explaining every detail, answering my questions all without hard sell pressure tactics. This was a really big job (it took 3 full weeks) and I know nothing about roofing so I was a bit nervous about making the right selection. The team that came was on time every single day, super polite and friendly and cleaned up so well you never knew there was a job going on. Each evening before leaving they would tell me what got done, what issues they ran into, what they would do the next day and ask if I had any questions. At the end, Kirk, the owner, came by and did a final walkthrough and he has a much more discerning eye than I gave it. All in all they took a very imposing, expensive and scary situation and turned it into as painfree an experience as I could imagine. Where water enters and where it rears its ugly head are not always in the same spot, I soon learned. Trent showed up within 30 minutes of my panic call, made the correct diagnosis, and had the chimney wrapped securely in no time. He suggested a couple of other routine maintenance items once atop my roof. Two of his co-workers arrived a day later and replaced standpipe boots, resealed my natural gas exhaust and treated the entire roof. I requested a estimate and was told that the project manager could not give me one because via satellite my roof had a low slope. IBEX Roofing did an excellent job for us. They were professional from the first time they sent someone out to our house to give us an estimate to coming back at the end to check all of the work. Workers themselves were friendly, skilled, and on time. I appreciated the Cody gave us an estimate while he was here. No lag time. The roof itself looks fantastic. They had to replace mutliple plywood pieces and two skylights, and this too went smoothly. This is a big ticket item, I was scared of making the wrong choice. We can highly recommend them. read more
