There was a mistake but Erick and Marco responded quickly even though they were contacted at 5 pm on Friday afternoon (when the problem was discovered). I really appreciated that if I had a question, they both responded in a timely manner. I have worked with many contractors over the 35 years that I have owned my home and I was very impressed with this company's work and responsiveness to their clients.

The inspector found several items that needed to be fixed, and Lucas agreed, commented about how good of an inspection it was, and promptly fixed the issues. We were satisfied. Lucas never showed up, never called, and now I've called and text him 8+ times without a call back. The best I've gotten is a text saying "I'll call you back" Completely disappointed in his lack of communication and customer service.

The estimator wasted a half hour of my time before he tells my he need to do a 90 minute presentation about how great they are before he can give me the estimate. I tell him no, I don't want a 90 minute presentation. So ha goes call his boss (again) and then says, "well since he wasn't able to present his 90 minute presentation he won't be able to give me a bid". I say thank you, good by. The who process feels like a time-Share or a used car lot deal.

We had had three other companies visit and he stood out for his professionalism and knowledge - he was the only person who a) observed that our house was built in 1937 and b) explained its long and likely history of poor roof choices, which led to c) his plan for a new system that would help the old girl finally breathe as she was originally designed to do. We wound up putting off the project due to the pandemic, so had a lot of time to consider our options. We decided that along with Klam's quality came peace of mind, and so secured them this winter. The team came out and finished in two days; were awesome and frankly we are still shocked by how clean the site was after they left; they did a great job of clean-up! Also have to say we so appreciated Katie in the office; she is highly communicative and we had a clear idea of schedule thanks to her. PS, this alone is another plus for Klam; two of the other companies we'd looked at went totally silent after their visit and one became super pushy. Total professionals here. Which brings me to another key point - Klam was one of only two contractors (of the four we interviewed) who were honest about the condition and cost. Now, we knew going into it that we had FOUR layers of roof up there - literally decades of previous owners doing their own DYI patchwork fixes. Really interesting/disturbing to observe that two companies told us there were only two layers, and casually mentioned "more" would be charged "if" they discovered extra. Klam was the only company who said straight up, "There are four layers, and here is what it will cost." We of course opted for their clear, no surprises estimate. We went with Klam and they were able to get us on their schedule more quickly than we expected. The crew arrived on time and were all very nice. They kept the job site clean each day and spent a lot of time after they finished making sure they had picked everything up from the yard. I found a roof vent cover sitting on the side of my home. After a little recon'ing, I felt it…read moreprobably came off my neighbor's house, but wanted to be sure. One company flat out told me they couldn't help me as they only do roof replacements; another wanted to charge me ridiculous money to just come look at my roof, indicating that it would cost me additional if they needed to re-attach or replace the vent cover. Tom from JnR called me after I had provided them with my location and phone number. He gave me an estimate of when he would arrive, and arrived on time. Without hesitation, he took a look at my roof and pointed out that the cover came from my neighbor's home. He even showed me how I could see the missing vent from the sidewalk. When he was done, he told me my roof was fine and still had lots of life left. I asked him how much I owed him, and he charged me nothing! He even stuck around and talked to me about JnR, and about a project I was looking to do on my home. He was gracious and sincere. The only money that came out of my pocket was a voluntary gratuity for his time. JnR is now my go-to for any issues that should arise with my roof, thanks to the quality of their service.
