It was around 25 years old and it was leaking in multiple places. I had a quote within 2 days. Was on the schedule within 5 weeks. And the work was completed in a day. Full removal of the old roof, repairs to the leaking parts of the house, and the new roof installed. I couldn't get a solid count but it seemed like 15 workers. 12 on the roof and 3 folks managing the everything not on the roof. Started at 8am and done by 6pm. It was a thing of beauty. No leftover messes anywhere. The valley's were braided together in a way to prevent water from gathering. Much better than the way they were initially laid. I'd have no qualms about recommending Ed's to anyone looking for roofing work!

The work was done quickly and on time. My husband picked up nails and then more nails and then shingles blew off. The local manager assured me this was a "common inconvenience." The crew was told by M to roof right over three vents, including the flapper vent over our shower fan. When we alerted the business, this was corrected and the flapper was put on, but the shower fan blew back into the bathroom. The company owner (in Arizona) yelled at length at my husband when he tried to explain about the shower vent not working--not his problem; his crew were not entering our house etc. etc. I finally got him to stop screaming and assured him that we wanted to trust that everything would be made right, but the crew covering over three vents had made us understandably cautious. He apologized. The following week our electrician pulled the fan and found the vent stuffed with debris from the roof. All is well now with the fan. There was a course of shingles flapping up and down in the wind. That was repaired after we forwarded the video sent to us by our alarmed neighbor. G, the man who did the original measurements and oversaw the corrections, came out once more when shingles blew off the roof. He fixed the immediate problem and told us that the roof was still not properly nailed in some places and the crew needed to come back. They have not returned to do that. We were billed extra beyond the bid price for flashing our skylights--why? The skylights were always there and I assumed would have been included in the bid. But the roof seems to still be on.

He was able to find the issue within 10 minutes and sealed off the area in 20 min. He found there were other areas on our roof that could use some preventative care. He later supplied a reasonable quote and offered to come back the following morning. We had other options but knew we would go with him. The job was finished the next day in about an hr. Leak is gone, and roof is further reinforced. The weather this week in particular has been a cold, windy, and wet one. There was even a light dusting of snow the night before Victor came to work on our roof. We appreciated his proactiveness, and friendly demeanor in our situation. A complete and utter disaster of an experience. I wouldn't take a roof from Viirt if it were free…read more I'd negotiated with Viirt for quite some time on different options available and tried to do my due diligence before signing the contract. After multiple scheduling delays lasting months, Josh and his installer finally came out walk the roof a few days before the job was to commence. When they completed the walkthrough they didn't knock on the door to see if i was home. Instead, they left and Josh called me and told me they couldn't do the roof after all. It wasn't a roof they could do, the person I was working with didn't realize it and was no longer with the company, blah, blah, blah. Needless to say, it was mid-October and the rainy season upon us so I extremely displeased. Okay, I was pissed. In the months that my roof/project was being spec'd for details and materials (I had some specific requests concerns) and then the months of scheduling delays after the contract was signed not once did anyone from Viirt express any indication that this job was not something that they could handle. I'd gone into detail many times with different people from their org about the details of the project and never was a red flag raised. Then, when I finally am told that Viirt cannot perform the work, I receive a call informing me of this fact even though they were on-site minutes beforehand! Apparently Josh can't speak to a customer he's screwed over in person. In that call, Josh also stated that he would follow-up with recommendations for companies that might be able to do a roof of the type that was needed for my low-pitch and flat roof. That follow-up never occurred. I never heard a peep out of Josh or Viirt again. Which brings me to this review... Why now, 4.5-months after this fiasco am I finally writing a review? Well, I received a "Warranty Update" email from Viirt last week. Seriously? For work you never did on a job you cancelled? I replied to that email informing them that I wan't happy about that and wanted to be removed from all of their systems. Please and thank you. Obviously, they didn't get the message. I just got another email from them asking me to "lock in our winter pricing, TODAY" for a spring roofing project. Fat chance, Viirt. As another reviewer stated, you are horrible.

For context: I have a real pain-in-the-rear house (3 stories, high-pitch and complex roof, horribly steep driveway, limited back yard access), and Evergreen was not fazed in the least.
