It's our favorite pumpkin patch place too since he doesn't gouge the jumpy prices.

Jacob (reddish bearded guy?) in the paint dept. needs to be promoted - or given a raise, or both…read more Today we brought a large piece of chipped paint that peeled from our house to get a match paint color. The first guy put the piece in the matching machine and made our paint. It was too dark. So then he tried again - this time it didn't match at all. His solution - "oh well - that the best we can do." I asked if the machine was broken - we've never had this problem before. The first guy just shrugged and said it wasn't gonna be perfect. It wasn't even close! He basically said - take it or leave it. So I asked for a manager - first guy just wasn't capable of problem solving. Jacob heard and came over, took a look, knew exactly how much white to add to the first can - and boom...perfect match. Home Depot - if you lose your "Jacob", you're stuck with "the first guy" who makes $100 worth of bad paint that will eventually end up on the discount shelf. And you also lose customers. Jacob needs to train, he needs to be promoted, he needs to be a decision maker. We're tired of the first guy. The "take it or leave it"guy. The shrugging guy. Please retrain him to be like Jacob. Please hire more Jacobs.

Miguel O. helped me during a recent Home Depot visit, and I felt compelled to leave a review…read morebecause he was truly exceptional. I've been a regular Home Depot customer since we bought our home about a year and a half ago, and while I've always found the staff helpful, Miguel stands out as the most helpful employee I've ever worked with. I'm currently in the middle of my largest DIY project to date: adding cabinet boxes and shelving to all of our existing kitchen cabinets. The project required purchasing several large sheets of plywood, understanding the differences between them, and figuring out the most efficient and accurate way to have everything cut. Miguel supported me through every step of the process. He helped me select the right materials, handled a significant amount of the board cutting, and when he needed to step away to assist other customers, he made sure I was seamlessly taken care of by Trevor (who was great too!) so I was never left unsure of what to do next. Beyond his technical knowledge, Miguel brought such a positive, optimistic attitude to the experience. He was patient, thorough, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. Employees like Miguel are the reason I keep coming back to this Home Depot. He absolutely deserves recognition and a raise.

As I walked through the gate today my heart sank as I saw a sold sign on the perfect tree. I was…read morejust maybe 20 minutes too late. Somebody by the name of Leyi got there before I did. This perfect tree looked so nice it should have been kept as a display. Perfect symmetry, and no trimmed ends anywhere and the angle in which the branches pointed slightly upward was simply stunning. I usually get a tree from here for the past many years. Silver Tips are selling out very fast and are almost gone. WARNING!! Buy now - permits to cut down were lessened this year and a snowstorm of biblical proportions prevented a second wave of inventory. Seraj helped me pick out a tree. He pointed to a fresh shipment of Fraser Furs as he knew I was a bit bummed about the tree Leyi snapped up from under my nose. I didn't get there with my box of chocolates quick enough. We went to the back and found the tallest Silver Tip they had. It was the one. He gave it a fresh cut and then Stacy helped load. It was a very fast and pleasant experience. I'm not sure why but they have the most beautiful trees here of many different varieties. I finally got my tree today - and at this point I recommend you do the same. There are not that many more shopping days till Christmas.

Going on a Wednesday afternoon was smart -- this coming weekend is going to be very busy. If you are going to use a stand from home, bring it with you, and they will install it on-site.

As I stood there trying to figure it out, an employee came over to help and quickly realized how tricky it was. He consulted a colleague for a second opinion, and then they he called over Max, who happened to be on his lunch break. I told Max he didn't need to interrupt his break, but he insisted he was happy to help. He wasn't convinced the first option would work, so he kept testing different ideas and talking through possibilities. When Feliciano came by, the two of them compared notes and agreed on the right connector. They were absolutely right. We installed it when I got home, and it works perfectly--no more leaks. Thank you to the Goodman's Hardware team for the great teamwork, and a special shoutout to Max for going above and beyond to make sure I left with exactly what I needed.
