After the bucket leaked, I had to cut it and the bottom of the tree off to put the tree in a new stand

I was thrilled with the 8 foot nordmann tree I bought this year, until the tree was fully decorated and the bucket stand they attached for an additional fee started leaking profusely. My call to the business was absolutely no help. No suggestions; no offer of a refund. I couldn't pry the 4 6-inch nails off the stand or out of the tree, so I had to cut off the bucket and saw off the bottom of the tree. Not to mention that I had to take all the ornaments and lights off to get that done. Won't be buying my tree from this place again.

Jacob (reddish bearded guy?) in the paint dept. needs to be promoted - or given a raise, or both…read more Today we brought a large piece of chipped paint that peeled from our house to get a match paint color. The first guy put the piece in the matching machine and made our paint. It was too dark. So then he tried again - this time it didn't match at all. His solution - "oh well - that the best we can do." I asked if the machine was broken - we've never had this problem before. The first guy just shrugged and said it wasn't gonna be perfect. It wasn't even close! He basically said - take it or leave it. So I asked for a manager - first guy just wasn't capable of problem solving. Jacob heard and came over, took a look, knew exactly how much white to add to the first can - and boom...perfect match. Home Depot - if you lose your "Jacob", you're stuck with "the first guy" who makes $100 worth of bad paint that will eventually end up on the discount shelf. And you also lose customers. Jacob needs to train, he needs to be promoted, he needs to be a decision maker. We're tired of the first guy. The "take it or leave it"guy. The shrugging guy. Please retrain him to be like Jacob. Please hire more Jacobs.

I can understand why Home Depot has only two stars on Yelp. I went to Home Depot on a Sunday and…read morepurchased a washing machine. The salesman was very nice. We needed this machine to assist with the care of an elderly person in need of 24/7 care. Home Depot promised a Thursday delivery. On Thursday we received an email that the delivery had been rescheduled to Tuesday the following week. When I called customer service, I was told the delivery vendor failed to pick up the washer for delivery. This was very problematic for us, we needed it to care for 95 year old grandma. I had no faith that the washer would be delivered on Tuesday, so I went to a local appliance store yesterday, and they just delivered the washer at noon today. I returned to Home Depot and returned their washer for a refund. The refund went smoothly. The value at the local appliance store was &200 cheaper and better customer service. If you're reading this, and need a good place to buy an appliance, check out Martin Harris in San Rafael Update The web link provided does not work. The situation was resolved by me having to return the item and purchase it at a competitive store. The response is AI and consistent with Home Depot's poor customer service. They pretend to care but really are incapable of fixing any problem. They Really don't care.
