Good customer service means prioritizing helping customers in the store over organizing shelves. While I eventually found the hardware I needed on my own, the encounter left a really bad impression. Buy now - permits to cut down were lessened this year and a snowstorm of biblical proportions prevented a second wave of inventory. Seraj helped me pick out a tree. He pointed to a fresh shipment of Fraser Furs as he knew I was a bit bummed about the tree Leyi snapped up from under my nose. I didn't get there with my box of chocolates quick enough. We went to the back and found the tallest Silver Tip they had. It was the one. He gave it a fresh cut and then Stacy helped load. It was a very fast and pleasant experience. Gone were the seasonal parties and sales, gone was the fun and whimsey of the place. And the people who worked there, the real stars were mistreated by the monster and some left. Now the monster is gone, but this place hasn't come back to what it was. It seems that they don't have the same energy and vibe. But the plants aren't as vast as they were in the past. I will try them again. I was touched by the stories of people who took plants home to care for them when the monster closed the business. I'm glad that Annie is working with a group of employees to get the business back up and running. It's just that now, they are a promising shell of a once great business.
