Very nice. The minute I picked out a plant they offer to put it up at the front. Offered to carry it to my car. Very nice. Clean and pretty plants.

Came here on Easter Sunday, I always pass by and finally had the chance to look at the plants. Even though the Nursery is small I LOVE the selection of succulents/ vegetables and fruits. They had so many variety of succulents. I go to a lot of nurseries in the Bay Area and I really liked their vegetable selection. I like the strain of peppers/ eggplants and tomatoes they use that I usually don't find anywhere else. I ended up getting the Sriracha pepper and Thai Chili Plants. Having descriptions of each plant really helped me choose which one is the best for me, I also ended leaving with two different blueberry plants! Thank you Justin for answering all my questions and I love that he was so knowledgeable - I also like that he seems to really enjoy what he does.

I first found this shop when I was looking for treatment options for thrips, and was absolutely blown away with the knowledge and kindness I was treated with. The staff truly care about quality and customer service. I wanted to leave this review after my latest finds, these gorgeous African violets. I pop in every month or so to see what new offerings they have, which include a wide, high quality selection of houseplants (including hard to find ones!), carnivorous plants, and outdoor plants. They have every accessory, gadget, supplement, and plant you could ever desire. This is THE place for all things plant

Nurseries come in all sizes and attitudes in the Bay Area. For instance, Berkeley Horticultural nearby is huge, somewhat overwhelming, and custom-made for people with not only green thumbs but green brains. Flowerland on Solano is for gardeners who want to make sure they have furniture that matches the colors in their plants. This more modest-size nursery comes across as more manageable within my own limited organic purview. It's probably targeted to people like me who have intermittent interests in doing something good for the planet. I have to admit I possess no botanical knowledge, so I'm grateful that the blue flag means the plant is drought tolerant and the red flag identifies it's resistant to peckish deer. That's the level of guidance I need because I'm too remedial a gardener to color coordinate my poppies. I'm afraid I have plastic plants that have died under my care. RELATED - Exploring Berkeley? While I'm on a roll with reviews tonight, I gotta shoutout this spot! Brought my niece here for their pumpkin patch last month. Way out there in Berkeley but was well worth it. Free entry and awesome set up! Pumpkins were a bit pricey but the funds went support a local school so it was no loss. We had a great time!

Great sunny day to shop for some new pots and maybe another succulent or two. Westbrae Nursery is a cute spot, they regulated the amount of customers that can go in so don't be discouraged by the line out front. We've all gotta have room for social distancing! Everyone was so nice and welcoming as well. So many plants and pots and gardening supplies everywhere you look. I ended up buying two glass orbs that made for displaying my old and new succulents very nicely. Enjoyed it here, especially with the plant nursery being mostly outside. Would definitely come back for some more soon!

Love that this is only 15 minutes away from home & it's minutes away from Philz Coffee. They have many different collection of plants from indoor to outdoor such as air purifying plants to lovely flowers, and even ground coverings. They also have organic soil, bug repellents, and pots for sale. If you like to grow your own vegetables/flowers, they also have a variety of seeds you can choose from. FYI: Due to the COVID-19 provisions, they have markings outside in place to remind you to social distance. They will not let you in without a face mask so be sure to wear yours when you go to visit. Please be aware that they only let a few customers in at a time so wait time is going to vary. If you'd like to see an ambience of this nursery, take a look at the pictures I took below... Any who, happy planting & hope you find the perfect new plant for your home!

Planned on buying a single fern but this is what happened.

The plants there are beautiful, and the owner (Dom) has the friendliest dog and bunny to keep you company during your shopping trip. I've bought a few plants from there over the years, and she usually gives a few tips for your plant before you leave (or a warning if they're more temperamental). Last year, we were going to try to bulk order plants from Pamana Plantas for our wedding, but to our surprise found out that they provide event services! We were able to work with Dom to design centerpieces and an altar for our wedding. We had given her really vague guidelines to what we wanted and some of our color schemes, and she was able to create a mood board and help us pin down our vision. She was so easy to work with and helped us stay in budget by offering multiple solutions at different price points between purchasing and renting. Super recommend working with them if you're looking for more sustainable wedding flower alternatives.

I guess I wasn't feeling it at the time to spend money at a place that looked similar to what one might see in the old TV series, "Sanford & Son" back in the days. However, yesterday I did a returned trip with my two GF's to browse and yes, there were a few items that perked my interest. There is a saying..."what's one man's junk is another man's treasure". Since there is no such thing as a 3.5 star rating for this unique place on Gilman Street where you can buy, sell, trade, and/or consign items, I have decided to go with a three star. There is a big difference in presentation of the items on hand compared to what you see in huge and/or luxurious department stores. Entering the bazaar you can browse and shop with no pressure. Though there is clutter all around, it is to be expected at an outdoor gypsy flea market with an assortment of gently used clothes (sweaters - $9 each or $15 for two), knick/knacks, plates, glasswares, toys (games, stuffed animals, etc.), baskets, ceramic items, even crystal ware. They even carry used books, albums, VHS movie tapes. Some of the items are a little pricey, such as the nice crystal candy jar with lid for $24. (The last time I bought one of those was over 15 years ago and it was $10 at the old Emporium in Downtown Oakland.) At a bazaar, prices on items are negotiable, but you can't do that in a department store. Sometimes the stuffiness of department stores and overbearing sales associates are not my "cup of tea"; thus, I find an outdoor bazaar is somewhat relaxing and soothing as a cup of tea.

But the real problem is the on-staff employee, clearly not the owner. Didn't catch his name before I was so insulted by his behavior that I escorted my mom out and left that cheesy nightmare. He deflected all responsibility and refused to move the rug. I told him to watch out because next time, someone might sue. He promptly accused me of threatening to sue and he "was way too smart to get caught up in that. You be fishing to sue or something." No, actually, I was saying do something proactive before the next injury sustained was more serious. He walked away from me claiming, "Not my problem. I'm not the owner." When I attempted to call the listed phone number to contact the owner, the number does *not* accept incoming calls. Um...all a bit sketchy.
