Cool little garden shop to poke around in. They have alot of interesting and ultra high end stuff that is either directly related to or at least peripherally related to gardening. As many have noted it is a great place to find that high end gift for the gardener in your life. That being said many items are too expensive to actually use in a garden so I wonder of many simply use them as props more of less. The staff is super friendly and you can think of it as a (I'm totally dating myself here) as a super high end Smith and Hawken

    Salad platter, handmade ceramic.

One of my all time favorite browse stores. Everything at the Gardener is impeccably curated. The whole store is on my wish list, from ceramics, to housewares, to books to furniture, however prices are fairly astonishingly high. I appreciate their attention to aesthetics and detail, and love walking through here to get inspired. Arguably you cannot go wrong (in my book) with a gift selected here, however it's a spendy establishment, so brace yourself for the Goop pricing.

Oh em gee Meridith. All the items here are amazing. I spent all of my hours parking in this one store alone! I really like their assortment of plants(especially the air plants). I spent most of my time reading the aeration book sitting next to these plants to get more info on them. As far as I'm aware of, I had yet to see anything under $15 so you can only imagine how expensive things can get here. However, if you're a gardener or have a passion for plants and aesthetics then this store is right up your alley.

This place is a must stop by when you're in the area. It's got tons of trendy and high end products that'll make you want to redesign your whole home! Great spot for gifts for friends as well as inspiration.

I absolutely love Paraiso Plant Studio!…read more They are located in the cute part of Berkeley, where there are tons of shops and restaurants. I wandered into the store, mostly on a whim, and I'm so thrilled that I did! The staff is absolutely sweet, helpful, and makes shopping so easy. Did I plan on buying a plant? Not at all. Did I? Absolutely! All of their plants are indoor specific, and they will help you find the perfect plant. Do you need a plant that goes in that spot in your Home or Office? That's full Senh? They've got you covered. Do you need a plant that prefers subtle or little to no lighting in your home or office? They've got you covered. Their plants are beautiful, healthy, and they range in different sizes from the most petite, too much larger sizes. The plant I picked out with help from one of the staff, not only is perfect for the space that I want it for, but because I also purchased a lovely ceramic pot, as a complementary service, they repotted my plant in its new ceramic pot. They do offer repotting for your plants, and it's obvious that they have a ton of repeat customers. The store was becoming busy as I was looking at all the different plants, gifts, etc., and if people weren't purchasing arrangements, or having repotting done, they were purchasing new plants like I was. This is a special place to get lost in, shop in, and fall in love with plants.

This place should meet all of your indoor plant needs and houses many types of plants and accessories. You could spend a lot of time taking in all that is here. I was curious to just roam around and see what was available. Lastly, there are both plant and flower services and delivery available.

I love the gift shop as well. There are artisan crafts that will make the perfect gift or addition to your home. Staff is fun and helpful as well. Please see the photos below. Pricing is above average for a higher end product across the board. There are sometimes pop ups here as well like Japanese street food or dessert in the afternoon and early evening.

As a customer of Flowerland for several years, writing the following brings me no joy. I was there…read morethe other day and saw a pair of gauntlet gloves. There was no price. I asked; the woman behind the counter looked it up and answered: $42. That seemed a bit expensive, so I checked online. While checking, the same woman comes over, sits down next to me, and asks, "Can I tell you something? Small business can't compete with Harbor Freight," then gets up and leaves. First, her statement to me was incredibly condescending. I'm almost 60 years old and know how businesses large and small work. She didn't need to scold me like I'm 5 years old. (FYI, Harbor Freight doesn't even sell any gauntlet gloves.) Did she honestly think she'd either guilt or shame me into buying their gloves? Did she think that was a good tactic to engender customer loyalty? Second, I'm all for -- and do -- support local businesses, even if it means paying a little bit more. As I said initially, I've been a customer of Flowerland's for several years. In general, if an item seems expensive, I check online not only to compare price, but to read reviews, in this case, for the particular brand of gloves. If an item has 4- and 5-star reviews, perhaps it's worth the extra price and I have made such purchases in the past. I've certainly knowingly paid more for their 1-gallon plants averaging around $22 whereas I know that many places sell 1-gallon plants for around $15. Third, in this case, this particular brand of gloves was about four times the typical cost of other gauntlet gloves I saw online. As I said, sometimes I'm willing to pay more to support a local business, but that does not mean I'm willing to do so unconditionally at any price -- especially for things like gloves that, no matter how good quality they are, will eventually wear out. Gloves are disposable, commodity items. (The seams at the fingertips are always the first part to wear out.) If that woman is independently wealthy, works at Flowerland just for fun, and pays any price any small business asks, well good for her. Some of us, myself included, are retired and are living off savings. From now on, I'll stick to Berkeley Hort, Orchard Nursery, and others where I have never been condescended to by any member of staff. Oh, and Berkeley Hort's plant prices tend to be better anyway.
