Was in Berkeley and decided to stop by for the first time. Such a great place to get plants. So many beautiful plants to choose from. Huge variety of plants and other items for gardening. Great employees that are friendly and knowledgeable. Spoke with at least 5 employees all were very helpful. Had a great conversation with Toshi she is definitely an asset to this business. The prices are fair. We bought lots of plants and I can't wait to come back for more.

Amazing service, fresh flowers, plants, cactus, soil, pots and more. Be sure to ask and you will get help but it's one of my favorite places on San Pablo in berk and also they are closed Sundays fyi.. really the best selection of non Heavy light required plants like my favs the pink panther. Get refreshed and check these guys out!

Drove an hour to see this plant shop and it was worth it! Nice shop with a great variety of houseplants. I found my pilea there, they had a great selection of them! They also had super cute bonsai trees and succulents. Will definitely be coming back again to get my plant fix!

It was lovely to visit East Bay Nursery. The place was well lit and well organized. Everything looked alive and lovely. I'm sure I stayed there longer than I needed because I felt so peaceful to do the surroundings. There was plenty of help around if it was ever needed. Their prices are decent and they had alot of great choices of plants and other yard things. I look forward to coming back.

Hubby wanted some small bamboo like plants in pots for our backyard. We decided on Horsetail which looks like skinny bamboo with no leaves. We could not find this in our local Home Improvement stores due to their limited selections and we did not want to order online because we want to see the actual plant before buying it. I found the East Bay Nursery website and was able to request a search for Horsetail plant availability. They replied with size and price the next day. Parking was convenient, the place turned out to be huge but workers were helpful. At the register, I found an adorable vintage glass water sprayer, which is super useful for heating up breads and rice, treasure found. Will definitely come back for specific garden needs.

It's a great spot if you're looking to grow your own food or just enjoy a calm walk through nature. There's a section for indoor houseplants, but it's a bit limited. Most of the options are Succulent plants and hardier varieties, so if you're looking for a large variety of tropicals or more delicate indoor plants, you might not find much--though there is a separate indoor plant area that was closed off during our visit. You'll definitely notice the fertilizer smell when you walk in--not overwhelming, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive. Still, the overall atmosphere is relaxing and grounding. It's a really lovely spot to explore, especially if you enjoy gardening or just want a nature-filled reset. Heads-up for allergy sufferers: with all the plants, pollen, and earthy air, you may want to plan accordingly. We didn't directly interact with the staff, but they seemed friendly and helpful, assisting other guests as I walked by. I went to the front and offered to take the CDs they were sending to the landfill. I stated I had boxes with me - the staff seemed amenable however when the manage Claudio was asked he overruled them and stated "no" - the CDs are now on the landfill - I have a machine to resurface discs, a press to flatten creased artwork and thousands of cases - however a company who's catch phrase is "zero waste" dumped" thousands of perfectly salvageable items. I contacted Urban Ore via email, via messaging and tagged them in social media as well as posting on their own FB page - no response. People donate items to Urban Ore thinking they think they are keeping them out of the landfill - the behavior of Claudio shows that this is a lie and Urban Ore appears to be a scam.
